Wed Oct 15 201411:32Rashad Jennings: Remains Sidelined
Jennings (knee) won't play Sunday against the Cowboys, Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News reports.
Coach Tom Coughlin indicated Wednesday that the Giants hope that Jennings will return to action after the team's Week 8 bye. With Jennings still out, Andre Williams is once again in line to head the Giants' rushing attack this weekend.
Fri Oct 10 201413:56As expected
As expected, Jennings (knee) is out for Sunday night's game against Philadelphia, the Giants' official site reports.
Rookie Andre Williams will handle the load for the Giants in what should be a good matchup against the Eagles' lackluster run defense. Jennings' status for next week's game at Dallas remains uncertain, but with the Giants' Week 8 bye on the horizon, we may not see him on the field again until November.
Wed Oct 8 201415:32Rashad Jennings: (Knee) Unable To Jog
Jennings (knee) rode a stationary bike during Wednesday's practice, but he was unable to run or even jog, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports.
Jennings was knocked out this past Sunday with what was eventually deemed a sprained MCL in his left knee, which is expected to hold him out in Week 6 at Philadelphia. Although the Giants have yet to rule him out, owners should be resigned to the fact that he'll more than likely sit out. In his stead, rookie RB Andre Williams should handle the bulk of the workload.
Mon Oct 6 201414:55Rashad Jennings: Sprained MCL
Jennings is dealing with a sprained MCL, Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News reports.
While there's no timetable presented for Jennings' return, Vacchiano suggests that a good guess would be that the running back could be out through the Giants' Week 8 bye. While that estimate is speculative in nature, it seems a solid bet that Jennings will miss some time, starting with Sunday's game against the Eagles. In such a scenario, rookie Andre Williams would be in line to serve as the Giants' top running back.
Sun Oct 5 201420:11Rashad Jennings: (Knee) Likely Suffered Sprain
Jennings, who will have an MRI on Monday, is initially being diagnosed with a sprained left knee, ESPN reports. "We'll find out more tomorrow," Jennings said. "We'll see what the MRI says. But I should be all right, that's how I feel."
Though Jennings was optimistic following the game, he was unable to rejoin Sunday's contest, after leaving at the beginning of the second half. If the veteran isn't ready for next week's game in Philadelphia, rookie Andre Williams will likely start and get most of the touches, as was the case in the second half Sunday afternoon. Peyton Hillis, the Giants' third-string running back, finished Sunday's game with just two carries and no receptions, compared to 20 and two for Williams.
Sun Oct 5 201417:30Jennings will undergo MRI on left knee Monday
Jennings will undergo an MRI on his left knee Monday, Newsday's Bob Glauber reports.
Jennings indicated that he doesn't think that he will be out long, but for now his status for Week 6's game against the Eagles is unclear. In the event that Jennings misses any time, Andre Williams is next up for the Giants' carries.
Sun Oct 5 201415:26Rashad Jennings: Ruled Out with Knee Injury
Jennings (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus Atlanta, ESPN reports.
Jennings' knee injury will prevent him form returning to Sunday's contest, ending his performance with 55 rushing yards on 10 carries and 17 receiving yards from two catches. Rookie Andre Williams will handle the Giants' running back duties to finish Sunday's contest.

Jennings suffered a knee injury during Sunday's game against the Falcons and is questionable to return.
Jennings rushed 10 times for 55 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards prior to exiting Sunday's contest. With his status uncertain, rookie Andre Williams will fill-in at running back for the Giants until further notice.

Jennings had 13 carries for 55 yards and one reception for -3 yards in Thursday's 45-14 win over the Redskins.
After exploding for 176 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries last week, Jennings turned in a much more modest effort in a matchup that heavily favored the Giants' passing attack. He didn't really get involved in said passing game, as Eli Manning rarely needed to check down against a struggling Washington secondary. Though held to one reception for minus-three yards over the last two weeks, Jennings should be a decent source of caches this season, as he tallied eight through the first two games. Andre Williams got a season-high __ carries in the blowout, but Jennings remains the clear-cut top back for all situations. With the Giants offense suddenly looking good, Jennings' stock remains high, despite the poor fantasy showing.

Jennings was an absolute beast Sunday against the Texans, carrying 34 times for 176 yards and a touchdown in a 30-17 win.
Jennings more than made up for his contact-free fumble in Week 2 against the Cardinals, as he ceded just six carries to backup Andre Williams. Jennings now has two touchdowns in three games, though he heads into Week 4 with a very tough Thursday game against the Redskins, who held LeSean McCoy to 22 yards on 19 carries in Week 3.

Jennings had 18 carries for 64 rushing yards and four catches on four targets for 45 receiving yards, but he lost a costly fumble late in Sunday's 25-14 loss to the Cardinals.
The overall yardage totals were good, but Jennings was benched in favor of rookie Andre Williams after the fumble. He's still likely to get a fair number of carries, and he's got four receptions in both games this season, but Williams could get a few more looks if Jennings can't hold onto the football. Up next is a tough matchup in Week 3 against the Texans.

Jennings had 16 carries for 46 yards and a touchdown, adding four receptions for 50 yards, in Monday's 35-14 loss to the Lions.
Jennings turned in a strong fantasy game, despite recording just 2.9 yards per carry. According to Nathan Janke of Pro Football Focus, Jennings played 42 snaps while Andre Williams logged 20. The snap split was about what was expected, yet the workload division was still encouraging for Jennings' owners, as the veteran handled the goal-line carries. That had been a major question heading into the game, with both Williams and Jennings weighing in around 230 pounds. Also worth noting is that Jennings ran better than the stats indicate, as his teammates didn't play particularly well against a talented Detroit defensive line.

Jennings gained 67 yards on 13 carries and seven yards on one reception in Friday's preseason game against the Jets.
Jennings has been perhaps the biggest bright spot in an ugly preseason for Big Blue, flashing a nice combination of explosive running, receiving skills and pass blocking. While he figures to blow Andre Williams out of the water when it comes to third-down work, Jennings may lose some or most of the goal-line carries to the rookie. Jennings figures to lead the way in touches early on, but if he doesn't play well, he may find Williams breathing down his back.

Jennings gained 17 yards on seven carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts.
It was a quiet night for both Jennings and rookie Andre Williams, who ran for 19 yards on eight carries. For a third consecutive week, Jennings started while Williams worked as the clear No. 2 running back. Both figure to play a role in the offense, and Williams may eventually push for the starting job. Jennings figures to see more of the third-down work, but Williams could carve out a goal-line role.

Jennings ran for 85 yards and a touchdown on five carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Jennings hogged the first-quarter touches, which included a 73-yard touchdown scamper. The long scoring play was largely the result of good blocking, but Jennings did well to make a defender miss, and then outrun the entire Pittsburgh defense. Andre Williams looked sharp in the second quarter and has seemingly already staked his claim to the top backup role. It looks like Williams will be a major part of the offense, but Jennings remains the likely starter.

Jennings gained 23 yards on seven carries and 20 yards on three receptions in Sunday's Hall of Fame Game against the Bills.
Jennings started and got most of the early touches, but Andre Williams was also worked in with the first-team offense, and the rookie looked more explosive than the veteran. Both did their best work on the first team's third and final drive, during which they were facing the Bills' second-string defense. Williams finished that drive with a three-yard touchdown after ripping off a 23-yard gain on the previous play.
Thu Jul 24 201413:19Rashad Jennings opens camp as No. 1 back
Rashad Jennings is listed as the No. 1 running back on the Giants' unofficial depth chart.
David Wilson is No. 2, Peyton Hillis is No. 3 and fourth-round rookie Andre Williams is No. 4. It's as expected, though Williams has already gotten first-team reps with the goal-line offense. Hillis' roster spot is in grave danger. Jennings' No. 1 position is legitimate, but it would be surprising if the Giants ultimately didn't go with a committee.

Tue Jul 22 201419:51Giants to use '3-back rotation' this season?
The Bergen Record's Art Stapleton suggests the Giants may use a "three-back rotation" involving Rashad Jennings, David Wilson, and rookie Andre Williams this season.
They also have Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox on the roster. Stapleton believes the theoretical three-headed monster could help "keep Jennings fresh," as the career backup will be 29 1/2 years old in Week 1, and has never handled more than 163 carries in a season. (He's also never played 16 games.) In this scenario -- based on the first practice of Giants camp -- Jennings would be the starter and lead back, Wilson would come off the bench to change the pace, and hammerhead power back Williams would vulture short-yardage work.

Mon Jul 21 201413:23Rashad Jennings remains Giants starter
The NY Daily News' Ebenezer Samuel confirms Rashad Jennings remains the Giants' top running back despite David Wilson's medical clearance.
Jennings is a capable three-down performer who excels in areas where Wilson is deficient, like pass blocking and ball security. Wilson does give the G-Men more of a big-play threat, although Samuel anticipates the 2012 first-round pick sticking to "spurts and select situations." Wilson is likely to open the season as the change-of-pace complement to lead runner Jennings.

Tue Jul 1 201412:25Rashad Jennings to be Giants' 'workhorse' RB
ESPN New York expects Rashad Jennings to lead the Giants in carries and be the team's "workhorse" at running back.
This lines up with what GM Jerry Reese said following minicamp, when he called Jennings a "bellcow type of running back." Jennings can run it between the tackles, catch the ball out of the backfield, and pick up the blitz. Although Jennings is 29, he's carried the ball just 387 times in his NFL career. There's plenty of tread on his tires. David Wilson figures to be Jennings' biggest threat once he's cleared, while Andre Williams and/or Peyton Hillis could steal some short-yardage/goal-line work. Jennings is squarely in the fantasy RB2 mix heading into camp.
