Sun Sep 12 201013:16Boss carted off for Giants
Giants TE Kevin Boss was carted off the field on Sunday after taking a hit over the middle.
Boss went up high for an Eli Manning pass and got hit in the back of the head by a safety. He was likely taken to the locker room to test for a concussion or possible shoulder injury.
Tue Aug 24 201020:57Boss finally seeing big time progress
Kevin Boss had his best practice of training camp thus far Monday.
The Newark Star-Ledger's Mike Garafolo said Boss looked "explosive" and the tight end said it's the best he's felt since injuring his ankle last season. Boss' recovery from ankle surgery has been slow, and he's also dealt with hamstring issues, but he should be fine for Week 1.

Wed Aug 18 201015:09Kevin Boss gets back into practice
Giants TE Kevin Boss (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Boss has missed nearly all of camp due to ankle and hamstring problems, hurting his chances at an expanded role in the pass game. He's barely a TE2.

Sat Aug 14 201017:50Boss ruled out for preseason opener
Kevin Boss (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Giants' preseason opener Monday night.
Boss started camp recovering from an ankle injury and developed the hamstring strain before he could begin practicing. He hopes to finally get back on the field by Wednesday. We'd look elsewhere for a TE2 this year.

Mon Aug 9 201013:48Boss now dealing with hamstring injury
Kevin Boss is now battling a hamstring issue after compensating for his surgically repaired ankle in recent practices.
It's going to be time to start crossing Boss off fantasy cheatsheets as a TE2 if he doesn't show quick improvement. He was only a borderline fantasy option to begin with.

Sun Aug 1 201013:47Kevin Boss passes conditioning test
Giants TE Kevin Boss (ankle) passed his conditioning test Sunday and was cleared for the start of training camp.
He had his ankle operated on relatively late in the offseason, but recovered quickly as expected. Boss enters 2010 coming off a 42-catch, 567-yard, five-touchdown season. Expect his numbers to be roughly the same this year.

Fri Jun 18 201014:08Kevin Boss says he's ahead of schedule
Kevin Boss says he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from arthroscopic ankle surgery.
Boss had the surgery in late May. "I'm really glad I went ahead and did it," said Boss. "...I'd be surprised if it was any longer than four weeks. It really hasn't bothered me at all." Boss should be 100 percent at some point in training camp, but we don't have high hopes for his 2010 fantasy value.

Fri May 21 201010:14Kevin Boss scheduled to have his ankle scoped
Kevin Boss is set for arthroscopic surgery on his ankle next week.
Boss, who dealt with ankle pain throughout much of last season, is only expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The notorious tough guy should be 100 percent by training camp, and speed has never been his game anyway. Boss is a reliable red zone target for Eli Manning but doesn't get enough targets to be trusted in fantasy.
