Tue Aug 2 201109:26Easley to miss about a week
Bills WR Marcus Easley (knee) is expected to miss about a week of training camp.
This is actually good news. Easley got a scare when he hyperextended his left knee Saturday -- the same knee that he had surgically repaired around this time last year. There's still some value here as a stash in deep Dynasty formats.

Mon Aug 1 201108:48Easley re-injures his left knee
Marcus Easley hyperextended his left knee, the same knee that he had surgically repaired last season.
Uh-oh. We note this injury because it sounds like an aggravation of the injury that caused Easley to miss his entire rookie season. He had been pegged as an upside project for the Bills and possible No. 4 receiver.

Tue Jul 26 201113:36Marcus Easley beefs up
Bills WR Marcus Easley has bulked up to 220 pounds after being listed at 207 last season.
Easley injured his knee during his rookie training camp a year ago and missed the entire season. He used that time to put on "good weight." While there's certainly opportunity in the Bills' weak receiving corps, Easley's lack of experience and cancellation of the offseason program will hurt him. He's merely a deep Dynasty stash for now.

Fri Jul 1 201110:42Easley not ready to 'blow up' in 2011
Steve Johnson tapped the breaks on the Marcus Easley hype, suggesting the athletic 2010 fourth-rounder is not yet ready for a breakout season.
"He really hasn't played a down in the NFL," said Johnson. "... I can't say he's going to blow up this year, but as soon as he gets comfortable and gets that feel for the game, I believe he will be another threat for the Buffalo Bills." We like Easley as a Dynasty league stash, but he's not worthy of a roster spot in redraft formats.

Thu Jun 30 201110:43Marcus Easley has been healthy since winter
Bills second-year WR Marcus Easley (knee surgery) has been fully healthy since December, according to the team's website.
Easley had "significant" surgery to repair loose and torn cartilage in his left knee last August, so he's definitely now 100 percent. The Bills are looking at Easley as a situational deep threat. "He has that top end speed and he's strong too," WRs coach Stan Hixon said. "That helps out in the bump and run and in underneath coverage, beating the linebackers. I think that it gives him an opportunity to be as good as he wants to be."

Sat Jun 4 201116:12Another Bills player calls Easley a 'beast'
Ryan Fitzpatrick is the second Bills player in two weeks to describe WR Marcus Easley as a "beast" in informal offseason workouts.
Described by Fitzpatrick as a "a really big guy with strength and top-end speed," Easley is still plenty raw. The loss of OTAs hurts him more than most after missing all of his rookie season, but he has our attention in Dynasty leagues. Easley will be a name to track in training camp this summer.

Fri May 20 201109:48Steve Johnson: Marcus Easley is a 'beast'
On the heels of informal workouts last week, Steve Johnson says fellow Bills WR Marcus Easley "looks like a beast" this year.
"He's big and he's fast and he still has all his speed," said Johnson. "... He looks like he's about 270, but he weighs 220 or 225. He's big and fluid in his routes." Last year's fourth-rounder missed all of his rookie season with a knee injury, the extent of which was never revealed. Easley should make the team as a situational deep threat this year.

Sun Aug 22 201021:26Bills place two rookies on injured reserve
Bills placed rookie WR Marcus Easley (knee surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Outside linebacker Danny Batten (shoulder) joins him on the year-ending list. The extent of Easley's knee injury was never revealed, but the Bills opted against waiting him on after he essentially missed all of training camp. Still an intriguing talent with deep threat ability and lots of experience as a run blocker at UConn, Easley will return to the fantasy radar in 2011. It's not like the Bills are deep at the receiver position.
Sat Aug 21 201019:08Easley undergoes surgery, out 'awhile'
Bills rookie WR Marcus Easley recently underwent surgery to repair a left knee injury sustained two weeks ago.
Chan Gailey had no details on the surgery, but he did say that Easley will be out "awhile." Easley will be a candidate for injured reserve as the Bills can't count on him to contribute early in the season.

Wed Aug 11 201021:40Marcus Easley will need surgery
Bills coach Chan Gailey confirmed Wednesday that rookie WR Marcus Easley will need surgery on his injured left knee.
"I don't know exactly when that's going to take place," said Gailey. "I think we'll get a better determination on what we're talking about, long term, short term, after that." Easley is a candidate for season-ending injured reserve.

Tue Aug 10 201021:00Marcus Easley's injury significant
Bills coach Chan Gailey indicated after Tuesday's practice that rookie WR Marcus Easley's left knee injury is "significant."
This isn't surprising, as Easley recently went for a second opinion on the knee. Gailey confirmed the former UConn Husky will be sidelined "longer rather than shorter." Season-ending injured reserve looks like a growing possibility.

Mon Aug 9 201021:47Marcus Easley going for opinion on knee
Bills rookie WR Marcus Easley is sidelined with a knee injury and will pursue a second opinion.
It sounds like surgery is an option. After a promising spring, Easley made little noise in training camp prior to the injury. Steve Johnson continues to own a commanding lead in the receiver competition opposite Lee Evans.

Tue Jun 15 201019:48Bills sign fourth-round WR Marcus Easley
Bills signed fourth-round WR Marcus Easley to a four-year contract with a signing bonus near $520,000.
Easley has worked almost exclusively on the outside during spring practices, at times lining up opposite starter Lee Evans. Though James Hardy and Steve Johnson have the upperhand on the No. 2 spot, Easley can't be ruled out as a potential rookie starter. He has the size and playmaking ability to take advantage if the other two underwhelm.
