Tue Dec 4 201208:27Cards are hopeful on Andre Roberts
Coach Ken Whisenhunt is "hopeful" Andre Roberts (ankle) can play in Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Roberts was a game-time call in Week 13, so he at least has a chance to be active in Seattle. The Cardinals won't have a real read on how his sprain has progressed until practice resumes on Wednesday. First-round rookie Michael Floyd started opposite Larry Fitzgerald last week, posting a 2/22/0 line on a team-high 10 targets.

Sun Dec 2 201211:31Cardinals declare WR Andre Roberts inactive
Andre Roberts is inactive for Week 13 against the Jets due to an ankle injury.
Roberts was listed as questionable, but didn't practice all week. He will be replaced by either veteran Early Doucet or first-round pick Michael Floyd in the starting lineup. Arizona's six other inactives are QB Kevin Kolb, RB Alfonso Smith, G/T Senio Kelemete, OT Pat McQuistan, TE Todd Heap, and DE Calais Campbell.

Fri Nov 30 201215:12Andre Roberts listed as questionable
Andre Roberts (ankle) missed practice again on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Jets.
He's going to be a game-time decision. Because the Cardinals' passing game has been thoroughly unreliable with Ryan Lindley under center, and Roberts is unlikely to be 100 percent, he's shaping up as a Week 13 fantasy option to avoid.

Thu Nov 29 201216:30Andre Roberts (ankle) still not practicing
Andre Roberts (ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday.
The Cardinals have remained mum on Roberts' status, so it's hard to get a read on his Week 13 prospects. It's quite possible he'll return to practice on Friday and be listed as "probable" on the injury report, but if not, he should be considered doubtful to suit up against New York. Owners in deeper leagues need to be making other plans at their WR3 spot.

Sun Nov 25 201220:46Andre Roberts catches nine passes in loss
Andre Roberts caught nine passes for 92 yards in Arizona's Week 12 loss to the Rams.
With Early Doucet (ribs) sidelined and the Rams pre-occupied with stopping Larry Fitzgerald, Roberts drew a season-high 13 targets. The seven-catch performance was Roberts' third in fives games going back to Week 7, but the Cardinals' uncertain quarterback situation makes him hard to trust as a WR3. He's worth a bench spot in 12-14 team leagues, however.

Sun Nov 18 201216:49Andre Roberts held to one catch for 7 yards
Andre Roberts caught one ball for seven yards as the Cardinals fell to the Falcons in Week 11.
Roberts saw five targets, but John Skelton and Ryan Lindley were incredibly bad, managing 70 passing yards between them. So no member of Arizona's pass-catching corps had an effective fantasy day. It's the risk you run starting Cardinals receivers in fantasy leagues. Consider Roberts a low-end WR3 and more of a WR4 as Arizona takes on St. Louis in Week 12.

Sun Nov 4 201217:54Andre Roberts goes for 86 yards in Week 9
Andre Roberts caught four balls for 86 yards on seven targets in the Cardinals' Week 9 loss to the Packers.
Roberts caught a 40-yard bomb deep down the middle for his big play of the game. The contract-year wideout is a better player than his shaky, inconsistent statistics indicate, but Roberts is still difficult to trust as anything more than a low-end WR3 in fantasy leagues. The Cards' passing offense is just so unreliable, and Larry Fitzgerald continues to be a target hound.

Tue Oct 30 201200:40Roberts hauls in seven passes in loss
Andre Roberts caught seven passes for 65 yards in Week 8 against the 49ers.
Roberts tied for the team lead with 11 targets. Rookie Michael Floyd racked up 11 targets in garbage time efforts. It's Roberts' second straight game over 60 yards, but that's to be expected when John Skelton throws the ball over 50 times. With Larry Fitzgerald seeing a lot of Carlos Rogers and Chris Culliver, Roberts was able to work on Perrish Cox, who was out of football in 2011. Roberts isn't much more than a WR4.

Sun Oct 21 201218:04Andre Roberts leads Cards with 103 yards, TD
Andre Roberts led the Cardinals with 103 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions at Minnesota in Week 7.
He also led the team with nine targets. Roberts padded his stats in garbage time, racking up four receptions for 69 yards and the 6-yard touchdown on the Cardinals' final series. It's Roberts' second game over 60 yards this season. He remains a shaky fantasy play heading into Week 8 versus the 49ers.

Sun Oct 14 201220:35Roberts catches two passes in Week 6 loss
Andre Roberts caught two passes for 18 yards in Week 6.
Roberts was targeted five times on the afternoon. Aside from his Week 4 outburst against the Dolphins, Roberts has been a very pedestrian receiver. He's no more than a WR4 moving forward due to Arizona's shaky quarterback situation.

Fri Oct 5 201200:22Roberts comes back down to Earth in Week 5
Andre Roberts caught five passes for 39 yards in Week 5 against the Rams on Thursday night.
Roberts was targeted 10 times on the night, and he could have easily had a 55-yard touchdown had Kevin Kolb not overthrown him. He beat Rams rookie cornerback Janoris Jenkins on the play after the safety bit on the run. Roberts is still seeing a heavy dose of one-on-one targets with Larry Fitzgerald drawing bracket coverage. NFL Network's Mike Mayock called Roberts one of the most improved receivers in the league on Thursday. Next week, the Cardinals welcome the Bills' No. 23 pass defense to Arizona.

Sun Sep 30 201222:40Whiz raves about Roberts' work ethic
Coach Ken Whisenhunt had high praise for Andre Roberts' work ethic following Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
Roberts posted a 6/118/1 line in Week 4. In Week 3, he had three catches for 55 yards but also had a 79-yard touchdown called back by a penalty on Larry Fitzgerald. "It's easy to have faith in a player when they work as hard as Andre has worked," Whisenhunt said. "This year, it looks like the ball is starting to find him." With Fitzgerald blanketed by constant double and triple teams, Roberts is going to see one-on-one coverage weekly.

Sun Sep 16 201218:44Andre Roberts finds end zone again
Andre Roberts caught one pass for a 2-yard touchdown against the Patriots in Week 2.
Roberts was targeted just the one time, taking a backseat to Todd Heap and third receiver Early Doucet (three receptions, 21 yards). Although Roberts found the end zone in consecutive weeks, he can't be trusted as a fantasy option versus the Eagles in Week 3. This feckless passing game simply doesn't support a second fantasy receiver.

Fri Sep 14 201209:18Whiz compares Roberts' work ethic to Hines
Coach Ken Whisenhunt compared Andre Roberts' work ethic to that of former Steelers WR Hines Ward.
"(Hines) sets the standard and I see a lot of that in Andre," Whisenhunt said. "That's pretty high praise for a young guy like Andre, but I think it's pretty accurate." Whiz attributes that strong work ethic to Roberts' tangible progress since the midpoint of last season. With the coaching staff in his corner, Roberts is facing no competition from rookie Michael Floyd for his starting job.

Sun Sep 9 201220:10Andre Roberts totals 69 yards, TD in Week 1
Andre Roberts caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown and added 15 yards on one rushing attempt versus the Seahawks in Week 1.
Roberts (9) and Larry Fitzgerald (11) were the only Cardinals receivers with at least five targets. With coach Ken Whisenhunt out on the field attempting a timeout, Roberts hauled in a 6-yard score just inside the pylon for the game-winning touchdown. Although Roberts appears locked in as the No. 2 target in Arizona's passing attack, he's not a viable fantasy starter at New England in Week 2.

Fri Sep 7 201217:52Andre Roberts listed as probable
Cardinals WR Andre Roberts (ankle, probable) returned to a full practice Friday.
He'll start against the Seahawks. While Roberts is capable of decent fantasy games if he gets enough targets, he won't be a Week 1 fantasy option facing Seattle's tough pass defense while vying for John Skelton's looks along with Rob Housler and Early Doucet. Roberts isn't even worth a WR5 stash in 12-team leagues.

Thu Sep 6 201218:59Andre Roberts added to injury report
Cardinals WR Andre Roberts was added to Thursday's injury report as limited with an ankle injury.
Roberts may have sustained the injury in Thursday's practice. Although he's listed as the starter opposite Larry Fitzgerald, Robert is only a fantasy option in "race to the bottom" leagues.

Thu Aug 23 201223:36Andre Roberts finds end zone vs. Titans
Andre Roberts hauled in five passes for 32 yards and a touchdown against the Titans in the third preseason game.
Roberts was targeted a team-high nine times, as third receiver Early Doucet sat out after nursing what is believed to be a minor injury in this week's practices. Most of Roberts' targets came in the third quarter versus second-teamers. Rookie Michael Floyd caught two passes for 16, had one pass go through his hands and didn't always line up correctly. Until the Cardinals find a reliable quarterback and a credible offensive tackle or two, Larry Fitzgerald is the only receiver worth drafting in 12-team leagues.

Mon Jul 30 201212:47Andre Roberts opens up camp as a starting WR
Andre Roberts is listed as a starting receiver on the Cardinals' first official depth chart.
It's not a surprise to anyone that was following offseason workouts. The Cardinals have been steadfast in their approach that Larry Fitzgerald and Roberts would be the starters and Early Doucet would remain in the slot. That leaves No. 13 overall pick Michael Floyd as the fourth wideout right now. However, Roberts is a pedestrian talent that managed just 51 catches for 586 yards and two touchdowns as a full-time starter in 2011. Floyd projects to eventually pass him on the depth chart.
