Graham caught two passes for 34 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown reception in Sunday's win over the Browns.
Given how little Graham has been used this season -- he had three catches and four targets in the previous five games -- it would be a huge gamble if any fantasy owner started him the week he catches his first touchdown pass of the season. New starting quarterback Ryan Mallett threw mostly to his wideouts, but his two touchdown passes went to tight ends.

Graham had two catches on three targets for 24 yards in Monday night's 30-23 loss to the Steelers.
The Texans had to throw more Monday after falling behind, but it didn't benefit Graham much. While he's the team's top tight end, Graham has just 17 targets in six games.
Fri Oct 10 201407:29Graham not targeted in Thursday night's 33-28 loss to Colts
Graham was not targeted in Thursday night's 33-28 loss to the Colts.
The tight end position in Houston is not a good play these days. A conservative offense, heavily reliant on the run and focused on preventing negative plays from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, has made Graham an unreliable option most weeks. In five games played, he's been targeted 14 times, well off last year's pace when he averaged nearly six targets per game.

Graham (ankle) caught five passes on six targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Giants.
Graham had missed the season opener and was targeted just twice in last week's win at Oakland. The six targets in Week 3 is an encouraging for Graham, who averaged nearly seven targets per game in 2013.

Graham (back) had one catch for 26 yards in Sunday's 30-14 win at Oakland.
Graham missed last week's season opener, and wasn't needed much Sunday, as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for just 139 yards on 19 attempts. Assuming he made it through without any setbacks, he should be a bigger part of the offense in future weeks.

Texans' coach Bill O'Brien stated Thursday that Graham (back) will play Sunday against the Raiders, ESPN.com reports.
Graham missed Sunday's contest due to a back injury, but it sounds like he'll suit up Sunday afternoon. He returned to practice on a limited bases earlier this week, which was apparently enough to earn coach O'Brien's vote of confidence. The Texans certainly need Graham's services as the tight end position, as backup C.J. Fiedoroicz (foot) hasn't practiced this week, and is looking uncertain for Sunday.
Thu Sep 11 201417:59Graham (back) limited practice participant Thursday
Graham (back) was a limited practice participant Thursday, the Texans' official site reports.
That said, coach Bill O'Brien noted Thursday that Graham "will be in the game" on Sunday against the Raiders. We'll let you know if that assessment changes.
Wed Sep 10 201416:26Graham (back) returned to practice Wednesday
Graham (back) returned to practice Wednesday, Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle reports.
We'll continue to monitor Graham's status as the week rolls along, but the tight end's return to practice Wednesday bodes well for his status for Sunday's game against the Raiders, barring any setbacks.
Sun Sep 7 201411:56Graham (back) out for Sunday's game against Washington
Graham (back) is out for Sunday's game against Washington, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Fellow TE C.J. Fiedorowicz is thus line to see added opportunities in Week 1, with Graham sidelined for the Texans' opener.
Sun Sep 7 201410:54Graham (back) not expected to play Sunday against Washington
Graham (back) is not expected to play Sunday against Washington, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports.
We'll have confirmation of that, one way or the other, in advance of Sunday's kickoff, but in such a scenario, C.J. Fiedorowicz would be in to start at TE in Graham's place in Week 1.

Graham, who did not practice this week because of a back injury, remains a game-time decision for Sunday's game against Washington, the Texans' official site reports.
The Texans plan to work the tight end out before Sunday's kickoff, with the report noting that rookie C.J. Fiedorowicz would get start in Week 1 in the event that Graham is scratched.

Graham (back) is on track to be a game-day decision for Sunday's game against Washington, Drew Dougherty of houstontexans.com reports.
Graham (back) missed practice again Thursday, according to cbslocal.com , but at this stage it looks like the Texans plan to work Graham out Sunday morning, before determining his Week 1 status. If Graham is out, or limited at all this weekend, then C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin would be next in line for the Texans' TE looks.
Wed Sep 3 201419:55Graham (back) didn't practice Wednesday
Graham (back) didn't practice Wednesday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
More on Graham's status as Sunday's game against Washington approaches. C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin are next in line for the Texans' TE looks should Graham be limited in any way this weekend.
Sun Aug 24 201401:28Graham and C.J
Graham and C.J. Fiedorowicz handled most of the first-team work in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos, according to Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle.
Graham appears to be ahead of Ryan Griffin as the team's primary receiving threat at tight end, but the former wasn't targeted in Saturday's game, while the latter hauled in all five of his targets for 71 yards and a touchdown, albeit with the entire stat line coming in the second half. Graham is still the choice if you're drafting today, but this should be worth keeping an eye on up to Week 1, and even into the regular season. As for Fiedorowicz, the 6-5 rookie will likely occupy more of a blocking role, but he could be a threat in the red zone.

Graham did not catch his one target in Saturday's preseason opener against the Cardinals.
Graham is listed atop the depth chart, but it isn't entirely clear how the Texans' tight ends will be used. Hulking rookie C.J. Fiedorowicz profiles as an in-line tight end, while Graham and Ryan Griffin are more threatening in the slot. The Texans are expected to use plenty of two-tight end formations, and there are three players in the mix for snaps. It'll be an interesting situation to watch this preseason, but Saturday's game didn't provide many clues.
Thu Mar 13 201417:09Texans to use Graham as 'move' tight end
Texans TE Garrett Graham says new coach Bill O'Brien plans to use him as a "move tight end, an H-back."
"I'm excited about that," said Graham, who received $11.25 million via his new three-year contract. Graham's athleticism pales in comparison to Aaron Hernandez's, but O'Brien was on New England's staff during Hernandez's finest years as an H-back and move tight end. It sounds like the Texans are penciling Ryan Griffin into the "Gronk" role, though things could change on draft weekend.

Thu Mar 13 201412:26Texans bring back TE Graham on 3-year deal
Texans re-signed TE Garrett Graham to a three-year contract.
Graham returns as Owen Daniels likely walks. A 2010 fourth-rounder, Graham has proven to have little upside, and enters his fifth NFL season with only 78 career catches. Given a chance to sign while Daniels was sidelined with a broken leg last season, Graham posted a middling 49/545/5 line, showing little play-making ability. He can't block. Second-year pro Ryan Griffin has a brighter future.
