Sun Dec 2 201220:05Danario Alexander goes for 102 yards in Wk 13
Danario Alexander caught six balls for 102 yards in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to Cincinnati.
If there was ever any doubt, this game was confirmation that Alexander has taken over as San Diego's featured offensive weapon. He was targeted a team-high ten times, and continues to be the only consistent fantasy scorer in the Chargers' offense. Keep starting Alexander in Week 14 against a Steelers defense that may be without top cornerback Ike Taylor (ankle).

Wed Nov 28 201219:16Danario Alexander practicing in full
Danario Alexander (thigh) is practicing in full this week.
Any injury is notable for a player with Alexander's history, but he'll be fine for Week 13. Averaging five catches for 91.3 yards since joining the starting lineup in Week 9, DX has the looks of a strong WR3 for the fantasy playoffs.

Mon Nov 26 201209:28Danario Alexander nursing a thigh injury
Danario Alexander was listed on the Chargers' Week 12 postgame injury report with a thigh injury.
Alexander was able to finish out the game, so he's likely dealing with a mere bruise. We'd be surprised if it turned into anything serious. Coach Norv Turner is expected to update the status of all his injured players at Monday's press conference.

Sun Nov 25 201220:47Alexander leads Chargers in receiving in loss
Danario Alexander caught a team-high five passes for a team-high 74 yards in San Diego's Week 12 overtime loss to the Ravens.
Alexander had another big gain taken away in the first quarter when he was called for an offensive pass interference penalty. He was targeted a team-high nine times and has completely taken over No. 1 receiver duties in San Diego. DX should be started with full confidence in Week 13 against a burnable Cincinnati secondary.

Sun Nov 18 201219:49Danario Alexander pulls in 7 catches, 2 TDs
Danario Alexander caught seven balls for 96 yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers fell to the Broncos 30-23 in Week 11.
6-foot-5, 217-pound Alexander caused major matchup problems for 5-foot-9 outside nickel back Tony Carter, and also pulled in a 20-yard reception in Champ Bailey's coverage. Emerging as the leading threat in San Diego's passing offense, Alexander has now caught 12 balls for 230 yards and three touchdowns in two starts since being signed as a street free agent. A freak talent who appears to have overcome early-career injuries, Alexander should be started with confidence in Week 12 versus the Ravens.

Mon Nov 12 201216:06Danario Alexander leads Bolts WRs in snaps
Danario Alexander played 59-of-66 snaps Sunday, leading all Chargers receivers.
Coach Norv Turner said at Monday's presser that Alexander's role would be evaluated "on a weekly basis," but for now, it's safe to assume he's supplanted Robert Meachem opposite Malcom Floyd. DX will only go as far as his infamously creaky knees will take him, but his upside is such that he should be owned in a large majority of fantasy leagues.

Sun Nov 11 201217:39Danario Alexander goes off for 7/134/1 line
Danario Alexander caught seven passes for 134 yards with one touchdown in the Chargers' 34-24 Week 10 loss to the Bucs.
Coming into the game, the Chargers were expected to start Alexander and rotate him with Robert Meachem. But just one minute in, he took a short slant from Philip Rivers, spun out of a tackle from Bucs CB Leonard Johnson and sprinted to the house for an 80-yard touchdowns. After that, Alexander played just about every snap as Meachem was left to be a bystander. We always knew that DX had difference-making talent, but health has always been an obstacle. Now 100 percent with a starting role, he'll be worth an add ahead of next week's game in Denver.

Sun Nov 11 201212:27Danario Alexander starting ahead of Meachem
Danario Alexander is expected to start ahead of Robert Meachem in Sunday's game against the Bucs.
Meachem's hamstring is fine, but the Chargers are wise to reduce his role. In seven starts earlier this year, the ex-Saint never got on the same page as Philip Rivers while compiling a brutal 12/189/2 line. Alexander and Meachem will rotate Sunday, leaving them both off the fantasy radar despite a matchup with the league's worst pass defense.

Fri Nov 2 201219:38Norv: Danario Alexander has earned 'big' role
Coach Norv Turner promised Friday that Danario Alexander will maintain a "big" role in the Chargers' offense moving forward.
Alexander played 34-of-48 snaps on Thursday night and came away with three catches for 61 yards, securing all three of his targets. "Danario's going to play," Turner said. "He's going to be a big part of what we do. He earned that right last night. It gives us another guy, and we can roll them and keep them fresh and use all the guys we have." Look for Alexander to rotate with Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal behind Malcom Floyd moving forward.

Fri Nov 2 201209:11Alexander used heavily in first start
Danario Alexander tied Malcom Floyd for the team lead with 21 pass routes versus the Chiefs Thursday night.
Alexander played 37-of-53 snaps (70 percent), second to Floyd's 45 snaps, while third receiver Seyi Ajirotutu played 22. "Danario was big and he was great," said Philip Rivers. "He was good, he was comfortable." We have no doubt that Alexander can outproduce Robert Meachem if given the opportunity and good luck on injuries going forward.

Fri Nov 2 201200:34Alexander leads SD in receiving yards in win
Danario Alexander caught three passes for 61 yards in San Diego's Week 9 win over the Chiefs.
Alexander got the start in place of the injured Robert Meachem (hamstring) and caught all three of his targets. DX has always been high on talent, but it remains to be seen if he can stay healthy for extended periods of time. He impressed on Thursday night, and even when Meachem returns, Alexander could see action in three-wide sets.

Thu Nov 1 201219:18Danario to get the start in place of Meachem
Danario Alexander will start in place of the injured Robert Meachem (hamstring) on Thursday night.
Alexander will line up opposite Malcom Floyd, with Seyi Ajirotutu as the Chargers' lone back-up at receiver. DX has the size working for him at 6-foot-5, 217 pounds, but his knock has been lack of health throughout his short career. He's not a bad deep league flier pick-up for receiver-needy teams. Philip Rivers could target Alexander on a few deep balls.

Thu Oct 18 201217:55Chargers bring aboard WR Danario Alexander
Chargers signed WR Danario Alexander, formerly of the Rams.
Released by the Rams in camp, Alexander worked out for the Bills last month. A towering 6-foot-5, 217 pounds, Alexander is long on athleticism when healthy, but has rarely been anywhere close to 100 percent during his three-year career. He's a high-upside depth signing for a club with an unimpressive receiver corps, but it's doubtful Alexander's knees will cooperate as he attempts to stick in San Diego.

Mon Sep 24 201213:51Danario Alexander works out for the Bills
Free agent WR Danario Alexander worked out for the Bills on Monday.
Per The Sideline View's Adam Caplan, Alexander is "fully recovered" from the hamstring injury that cost him the entire preseason with the Rams. Alexander would be an intriguing flier for the receiver-needy Bills, but intrigue is typically what came before injury with one of the league's most brittle players in St. Louis.

Wed Aug 29 201217:45Rams release Danario Alexander
Rams released WR Danario Alexander with an injury settlement.
Alexander fell out of the 2010 draft due to major knee issues, and he missed virtually all of training camp with a hamstring injury. The Rams decided to part ways with the talented yet brittle receiver instead of giving him a year away and seeing what happens in 2013. "DX" was signed for minimum base salaries.

Mon Aug 27 201216:05Rams waive injury-prone Danario Alexander
Rams waived/injured WR Danario Alexander.
Alexander will revert to injured reserve if he goes unclaimed on waivers. The 6-foot-5, 217-pound third-year pro is long on talent, but even longer on injuries, and had been sidelined the majority of camp by a hamstring ailment. "DX" has been productive in 18 career games, snagging 46 passes for 737 yards and three touchdowns, but has rarely been able to practice. DX's size and athleticism could keep him on the NFL radar, but his career is just about through if he can't get and stay healthy in the very near future.

Sat Aug 25 201212:29Rams unlikely to keep Danario Alexander?
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch doesn't project WR Danario Alexander as part of the Rams' 53-man roster.
One of the most injury-prone players in the league, Alexander has missed nearly all of training camp with a hamstring injury after being limited throughout the offseason program. "DX" has incredible raw athleticism to go along with his 6-foot-5, 217-pound frame, but it's doubtful he'll ever get healthy enough to be a regular NFL contributor.

Thu Aug 9 201208:46Danario Alexander 'still struggling'
Coach Jeff Fisher admitted that Danario Alexander (hamstring) is "still struggling."
The talented Alexander simply hasn't been able get over the hump with his various injuries. After returning to practice on Tuesday, he sat out Wednesday's session. Alexander is no lock to make the final roster in the Rams' crowded receiving corps.
