Mon Jul 30 201210:14Danario Alexander not ready to go yet
Danario Alexander (hamstring) did not practice as training camp opened.
It's notable due to Alexander's long and troubled injury history. He battled hamstring issues for much of 2011 and has never been able to get over the hump with his multiple knee injuries. Alexander is no lock to make the roster.

Wed May 16 201216:18Danario Alexander missing OTA practices
Rams WR Danario Alexander is missing time at OTAs with a hamstring injury.
Alexander's injury isn't known to be significant, but he battled hamstring woes for much of 2011 and needs to make a positive impression on a new coaching staff. The new regime may not be as forgiving with Alexander's durability woes.

Sun Jan 1 201217:53Danario Alexander has three-catch day
Danario Alexander caught three passes for 36 yards in St. Louis' Week 17 loss to the 49ers.
Limited to 10 games by injury this season, Alexander committed his seventh drop of the year in the second half, costing the Rams a first down. Alexander has proven to have NFL-level athleticism, but his questionable hands and proneness to injury make a 2012 breakout unlikely.

Tue Dec 13 201101:01Danario Alexander has one-catch night
Danario Alexander was held to one catch for 12 yards in St. Louis' Week 14 loss to the Seahawks.
Alexander did manage to draw two defensive penalties, including one in the end zone, but was targeted only four times on a night where Sam Bradford completed just 12 passes. The good news is DX looked as healthy as he has in weeks, and did good battle with Seattle's oversized cornerbacks. He just can't be counted on as a fantasy option in St. Louis' pop-gun offense.

Sun Dec 4 201114:48Danario Alexander returning after five weeks
Danario Alexander (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Alexander is finally ready to return after a five-game absence, and should get the start at receiver opposite Brandon Lloyd. Averaging 3.2 catches for 59.2 yards before going down, Alexander shouldn't be considered a viable WR4/5 for the fantasy playoffs until he strings together a few solid efforts in a row.

Wed Nov 30 201116:21Danario Alexander expects to return vs. SF
Danario Alexander (hamstring) was a full participant in Rams practice Wednesday, and said he expects to return against the 49ers.
Alexander is finally over the hump after missing St. Louis' past five games. It's good news for an extremely thin receiver corps, but Alexander can't be counted on in fantasy leagues until he's able to stay healthy and reel off a few productive games in a row.

Mon Nov 28 201115:34Spags: Alexander will play in Week 13
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that he expects Danario Alexander (hamstring) to rejoin the lineup in Week 13.
Alexander was close to playing against the Cardinals, but it sounds like the Rams held him out one more game just to err on the side of caution. Alexander was St. Louis' starting flanker before the hamstring injury, playing ahead of Brandon Gibson. The Rams head to San Francisco in Week 13.

Sun Nov 27 201111:38Alexander out for fifth straight game
Danario Alexander (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Austin Pettis (knee) and Lance Kendricks (concussion) are both active. The absence will be Alexander's fifth straight, though it should likely be his last after he reportedly came close to playing today. Brandon Gibson will again make the start opposite Brandon Lloyd at receiver. Also inactive for the Rams are OT Mark LeVoir, G Bryan Mattison, RB Cadillac Williams, LB Josh Hull, LB Ben Leber and DT Justin Bannan.

Danario Alexander (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 12 after being limited in Friday's practice.
Howard Balzer of ESPN St. Louis reports that Alexander has a "chance" to play against the Cardinals. Alexander won't be remotely a fantasy option until he strings together a stretch of full health, but it's good news for the Rams.

Wed Nov 23 201117:22Danario Alexander again limited in practice

Mon Nov 21 201116:18Danario Alexander likely out for Week 12
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "early indications" are that Danario Alexander (hamstring) will not play in Week 12.
Alexander can't get into a groove running without experiencing pulling in the hamstring, and he still has no timetable to return. Austin Pettis and Mark Clayton both emerged from Sunday's loss to Seattle with knee soreness, so the Rams are thinning quickly at wideout. Brandon Gibson, playing through a groin strain, managed 37 yards on four receptions in Week 11.

Sun Nov 20 201114:39Alexander again leads Rams inactives
Rams declared WR Danario Alexander, RB Cadillac Williams, OT Jason Smith, CB Nate Ness, LB Justin Cole, LB Ben Leber and DT Darell Scott inactive for Week 11 against the Seahawks.
Brandon Gibson will make his fourth straight start in Alexander's place, though Mark Clayton should see an increase in snaps after being on the field for only a handful of plays in his 2011 debut last Sunday. With Williams out, Jerious Norwood is active for the first time since Week 3. CB Justin King is active after missing practice on Thursday and Friday with an ankle injury.

Fri Nov 18 201114:19Danario Alexander not expected to play
Danario Alexander (hamstring) is expected to sit out a fourth straight game after missing Rams practice Friday.
Alexander practiced on a "limited" basis both Wednesday and Thursday, so it's fair to wonder if the brittle second-year wideout sustained a setback. The Rams may be forced to start Mark Clayton at flanker Sunday against the Seahawks.

Danario Alexander (hamstring) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
The Rams official Twitter account notes that DX is "not quite back to speed yet" while beat writer Jim Thomas believes he "may not be ready" for the Seahawks this Sunday. It looks like Brandon Gibson and Mark Clayton will continue to see the majority of the snaps opposite Brandon Lloyd.

Sun Nov 13 201111:49Alexander, Kendricks inactive for St. Louis
Rams declared WR Danario Alexander and TE Lance Kendricks inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Neither were expected to play after failing to practice all week. Brandon Gibson will make his third consecutive start in Alexander's place, but could split snaps with Mark Clayton, who is making his 2011 debut today. Kendricks will be spelled by a combination of Michael Hoomanawanui and Billy Bajema. Also inactive for the Rams are RB Jerious Norwood, RT Jason Smith, LB Josh Hull, LB Bryan Kehl and CB Rod Hood.

Fri Nov 11 201115:12Danario Alexander ruled out for Week 10
Danario Alexander (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 10.
Brandon Gibson, who caught five passes on dump-off plays last week, will get another start. We'd take our chances with Austin Pettis if we were looking for a Rams wide receiver to play behind clear No. 1 option Brandon Lloyd.

Thu Nov 10 201116:35Danario Alexander again held out of practice
Danario Alexander (hamstring) was held out of Rams practice for the second consecutive day Thursday.
Alexander's now a near lock to miss his third straight game. It's possible he'll be worth a look in deeper leagues once he finally gets back on the field, but for now he's purely waiver wire fodder.
