Wed Nov 9 201116:33Danario Alexander misses practice Wednesday
Danario Alexander (hamstring) was held out of Rams practice Wednesday.
Unless Alexander is able to return to full practice on Thursday, he's looking likely to miss his third straight game. With Mark Clayton now off the PUP list, Alexander's best fantasy days are behind him this season.

Mon Nov 7 201115:38Rams don't know Alexander's status yet
The Rams are taking a "wait and see" approach with Danario Alexander (hamstring) for Week 10 against Cleveland.
Alexander had to be ruled out for Week 9 after a setback in last Wednesday's practice. The Rams' likely starting flanker when healthy, Alexander was spelled by Brandon Gibson against the Cards. Gibson had 54 yards on five catches.

Fri Nov 4 201114:03Danario Alexander ruled out for Week 9
Danario Alexander (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 9.
The Rams confirmed that Alexander suffered a setback after trying to practice on Wednesday. Brandon Lloyd and rookie Greg Salas will be St. Louis' top fantasy receiver bets at Arizona. Brandon Gibson isn't much of an option.

Thu Nov 3 201115:58Danario Alexander downgraded to out
Danario Alexander (hamstring) missed Rams practice Thursday after being a limited participant on Wednesday.
Mid-week downgrades are never good news, but are especially bad for someone with Alexander's injury history. Alexander should now be considered doubtful for Sunday, paving the way for Brandon Gibson to make his second straight start opposite Brandon Lloyd. Alexander should remain quarantined to the waiver wire.

Wed Nov 2 201116:41Alexander practices in individual drills
Danario Alexander (hamstring) participated in Rams practice Wednesday, but only went through individual drills.
He'll likely need to progress to full team-drill work in order to be fully cleared to play against the Cardinals. Alexander has been injury prone enough early in his career that he won't be a fantasy option until he shows he's healthy.

Mon Oct 31 201115:34Rams WR Alexander to practice Wednesday
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo expects Danario Alexander (hamstring) to return to practice Wednesday.
Alexander was inactive in Week 8 after sitting out of practice all week, but sounds like he should be good to go against the Cardinals. On the brink of WR3 status before the Rams' acquisition of Brandon Lloyd, Alexander is likely off the standard-league radar with Lloyd sponging up 25 targets the past two weeks.

Sun Oct 30 201111:37Danario Alexander officially out vs. Saints
Rams declared WR Danario Alexander (hamstring) inactive for Week 8 against the Saints.
One week after being a healthy scratch, Brandon Gibson should take Alexander's place in the starting lineup opposite Brandon Lloyd. Greg Salas will man the slot. With QB Sam Bradford (ankle) inactive for the second straight week, Lloyd is the only Rams receiver worth starting with A.J. Feeley under center. Also inactive for the Rams are RT Jason Smith, DT Darell Scott, RB Jerious Norwood, CB Justin King and LB Brady Poppinga. Adam Goldberg will get the start at right tackle in Smith's absence.

Fri Oct 28 201114:19Danario Alexander misses Rams practice
Danario Alexander (hamstring) missed Rams practice again Friday and is not expected to play in Week 8.
Alexander's absence will leave Brandon Gibson, Austin Pettis, and Greg Salas as candidates for targets behind Brandon Lloyd at wide receiver. It's a situation to avoid in fantasy. Gibson was a healthy scratch in Week 7, so it's possible the Rams would turn to Salas at flanker (Alexander's position) with Pettis in the slot. Salas played a lot of Z receiver in preseason.

Thu Oct 27 201116:03Danario Alexander misses practice again
Danario Alexander (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday.
The Rams have yet to update DX's status since an early-week MRI. At this point, we would expect Brandon Gibson to draw the start opposite Brandon Lloyd against the Saints. With A.J. Feeley likely to start, Gibson isn't a recommended fantasy play.

Wed Oct 26 201116:20Danario Alexander misses practice
Danario Alexander (hamstring) missed Rams practice on Wednesday.
We suppose the good news is that Alexander isn't on the injury report due to his knee. He underwent an early-week MRI on his hamstring, but the Rams never released the results. Consider Alexander questionable to play in Week 8.

Mon Oct 24 201115:42Danario Alexander waiting for MRI results
Danario Alexander has undergone an MRI on his ailing hamstring.
It likely means Alexander is dealing with more than a simple tweak. Results should be available some time in the next 24 hours. Were Alexander to be unavailable for Week 8, it would likely mean a reprieve for former starter Brandon Gibson, who was a healthy scratch Sunday. One of the league's most injury prone players, Alexander will be safely droppable if he's staring at a multi-week absence.

Sun Oct 23 201120:18Danario Alexander has quiet afternoon
Danario Alexander was limited to two catches for nine yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Alexander found himself frozen out in favor of Brandon Lloyd, who drew twice as many looks from backup quarterback A.J. Feeley. Lloyd is now clearly the No. 1 option in St. Louis' passing game, but the target disparity should not be quite as large once Sam Bradford (ankle) finds himself back under center.

Sun Oct 16 201116:50Danario Alexander goes for 91 yards in loss
Starting in place of healthy scratch Mike Sims-Walker, Danario Alexander caught six passes for 91 yards in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
Alexander more than justified his insertion into the starting lineup, making multiple catches in traffic while often overpowering Packers defenders. He did make a critical mistake in the first quarter, dropping what might have been an 81-yard touchdown after getting behind the entire Green Bay secondary. It was the lone stain on an otherwise solid performance, however. He'll almost certainly again be in the starting lineup in Week 7.

Sun Oct 2 201117:31Danario Alexander has nice afternoon
Danario Alexander caught three passes for a team-leading 46 yards in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.
Alexander looked as healthy as he's ever been during his 11-game NFL career, showcasing impressive physicality while bouncing right back up after a number of big hits. He's still raw from an Xs and Os standpoint, but unlike seemingly every other Rams' pass catcher, can actually corral the ball. He remains St. Louis' highest upside wideout.

Sun Sep 25 201120:36Danario Alexander targeted eight times
Danario Alexander was targeted a team high eight times Sunday, but could make just two catches for 28 yards in St. Louis' blowout loss to the Ravens.
Alexander slipped on a route early in the second quarter, leading to a Sam Bradford interception. A highly frustrating day, but the real story is the Rams pledged to get Alexander more involved during the week and then followed through today. Perhaps the team's most talented receiver, his role could continue to grow if he keeps his troublesome knee healthy. He's still shown too little to be worth a look in standard sized leagues, but if you're hurting for receiver help in a deeper format, Alexander is about as high upside as you'll find on the wire.

Fri Sep 23 201108:26Rams WR Alexander earning more playing time
Rams OC Josh McDaniels backed coach Steve Spagnuolo's statement that Danario Alexander has earned more playing time going forward.
"Danario had a great game and he's had a good week in practice," McDaniels said. "He's earned the right to be out there more certainly. We're excited about what he can do." Spags and Alexander both acknowledge that the surgically repaired knee has to be "managed" and that he may never be a full-time player. "We try to only give him a certain amount of snaps during the week," Spagnuolo said. "I think you need to do right by your players, too."

Tue Sep 20 201116:40Danario Alexander's workload to increase
Coach Steve Spagnuolo indicated that Danario Alexander's workload will increase going forward, but the Rams are still mindful of his surgically repaired knee.
Alexander racked up 122 yards and a score while playing just 19-of-69 snaps against the Giants. His knee won't hold up to full-time work, but an increase of just 10-12 snaps would push him into WR3 consideration in plus matchups.

Tue Sep 20 201100:06Alexander grabs a touchdown in Week 2 vs. NYG
Danario Alexander caught three passes for 122 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Giants.
Giants CB Aaron Ross had no answer for Alexander, and it got so bad at one point that he was bench in favor of Michael Coe. Sam Bradford, recognizing the mismatch, lofted a 19-yard pass that Alexander reeled in at the highest point possible for a touchdown. Alexander saw seven targets on the night, but expectations need to be tempered. He's an injury prone niche player that can't be relied upon on a weekly basis. Plus, it was clear Mike Sims-Walker was Bradford's go-to target. Deep leaguers can give him a look, but don't expect much.
