Thu Nov 28 201320:49Dunbar makes most of 13 touches vs. Oakland
Lance Dunbar rushed 12 times for 82 yards and caught a 12-yard pass in Dallas' Week 13 win over Oakland.
Dunbar has more burst and wiggle than DeMarco Murray, although Dallas' change-of-pace back is not a realistic threat to Murray's starting job. The Cowboys fancy Dunbar a speedy change-up back while Murray does the heavylifting. And there's no question Murray is superior in pass protection. Dunbar will be a weak flex option when Dallas takes on Chicago in Week 14.

Sun Oct 27 201317:27Lance Dunbar rushes for 16 yards in loss
Backing up Joseph Randle in the absence of DeMarco Murray, Lance Dunbar carried the ball five times for 16 yards in Dallas' Week 8 loss to the Lions.
Active for the first time since Week 5, Dunbar (hamstring) wasn't targeted in the passing game. It's possible Dunbar will be in for a bigger role behind Randle in Week 9 if Murray isn't ready to return, but the early signs suggest Murray will suit up against the Vikings. Dunbar is off the 12-team league radar.

Dunbar is going to be active for Week 8. The question is whether he'll be Dallas' No. 2 or 3 running back. The answer depends on DeMarco Murray's (knee) status. For now, it appears Murray will play, bumping Dunbar down to No. 3 status behind rookie Joseph Randle.
