Cadet (hamstring) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Ravens, the Saints' official site reports.
As is Pierre Thomas, which limits Cadet's upside Monday, with only so many pass plays out of the backfield to go around.

Cadet (hamstring) is probable for Monday's game.
He was a limited participant in Saturday's practice, but will likely be able to take the field against the Ravens. Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder) is also probable, so Cadet's workload could be scaled back.

Cadet (hamstring) was limited in Friday's practice.
Cadet's exact status for Monday's game against Baltimore is unclear, but the fact that he's practicing in advance of Saturday is a good sign. His workload might be scaled back if Pierre Thomas (shoulder) plays, however.

Cadet had four catches on five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
Cadet also carried the ball once, but was unable to gain a yard, as he did most of his damage through the air once again. Pierre Thomas was able to practice last week, albeit in a limited capacity, so it's possible Cadet's minor role as the Saints' primary receiving back may dissipate as early as next week in a a Monday night tilt against the Ravens.

Cadet carried twice for nine yards and caught three passes on five targets for 18 yards in Sunday's loss to the 49ers.
Despite the absence of Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson, Cadet was quiet for the Saints, as Mark Ingram once again dominated the backfield touches. Thomas or Robinson, or both, could be back as early as next week, so Cadet's run of limited fantasy usefulness could be coming to an end shortly. Up next is a Bengals' defense that is among the worst in the league defending both the run and the pass, but Cadet is nothing more than a deep-league flier, even if Thomas and Robinson are once again absent.

Cadet had three catches for 29 yards and two carries for one yard in Thursday's 28-10 win over the Panthers.
Cadet handled most of the passing downs and made a couple of nice plays, but with the Saints protecting a lead for the entire second half, Mark Ingram got 30 carries. Edwin Baker got one meaningless carry at the end of the game, showing no signs of being any threat to Ingram or Cadet. Of course, Cadet will eventually cede most of the passing-down snaps to Pierre Thomas (shoulder), who has not practiced since suffering an injury in Week 7. If Thomas does miss another game, the Saints' Week 10 matchup against San Francisco certainly seems to favor the passing game over Ingram's running.
Wed Oct 29 201417:41Cadet should again be involved in passing game
With Pierre Thomas (shoulder) ruled out for Thursday's game against the Panthers, Cadet should again be involved in the passing game. He caught four passes for 40 yards in Sunday night's rout of the Packers.
Though both Thomas and Khiry Robinson were sidelined against Green Bay, Cadet still only saw 14 snaps, as Mark Ingram received the lion's share of the playing time, setting a career high in rushing yards in the process. In Cadet's 14 snaps, however, he was targeted five times, filling Thomas' pass-catching shoes admirably. Carolina boasts much stronger run defense than Green Bay, so Ingram may struggle to find as much room to run. If that's the case, Cadet may find himself involved more often, as he remains the primary receiving threat out of the backfield in Thomas' absence.

Cadet gained 40 yards on four catches and seven yards on one carry in Sunday's 44-23 win over the Packers.
Mark Ingram essentially got all of the carries, rumbling 24 times for 172 yards and a touchdown. Cadet, meanwhile, had a fairly quiet game will working as the top back on passing downs, as Drew Brees was often able to connect with open receivers downfield. That said, Cadet's five targets were tied for third most on the team, so it's not as if he was an afterthought. With Pierre Thomas (shoulder) likely out for at least one more game, Cadet should play a similar role Thursday in Carolina.
Tue Oct 21 201415:12Cadet could see boost in playing time
With Pierre Thomas potentially sidelined for the next two or three weeks with a shoulder injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Lions, Cadet could see a boost in playing time.
Though Mark Ingram re-entered the backfield mix against Detroit, Cadet still saw 20 snaps and pulled down six of nine targets for 51 yards receiving. The Saints actually called a pass play on all 20 of those snaps, reports ESPN.com, and it was Cadet, not Ingram, who was on the field during the Saints' final drive, when Thomas was sidelined. Considering that Ingram is more of a between-the-tackles runner, Cadet is the most likely back on roster to inherit Thomas' pass-catcher role, putting him firmly on the PPR radar as long as Thomas is sidelined.

Though he didn't receive a single carry, Cadet caught six passes on nine targets for 51 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He took part of 20 of the team's 74 offensive snaps, compared to 27 snaps for Pierre Thomas, 25 snaps for Mark Ingram and five snaps for Khiry Robinson, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
With Detroit boasting one of the top run defenses in the league, it's no surprise the Saints looked to counter that advantage by utilizing their running backs on short passes to attack the edges. As such, the Saints' backfield, led by Cadet, combined for a whopping 13 receptions on 17 targets. With Thomas suffering a "minor" shoulder injury that forced him out in the second half, Cadet could see an increased workload if Thomas is unable to go in Week 8 against a Packers' defense that ranks last in the league against the run.

Cadet did not get a single carry but caught three passes on five targets for 19 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Buccaneers.
Cadet has proven to be a decent receiver out of the backfield in recent games, catching nine passes on 11 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in the last two weeks, but he could lose nearly all of his playing time after the team's Week 6 bye, as Mark Ingram is expected to return from a hand injury to play in Week 7, which would push Cadet to fourth on the depth chart behind Ingram, Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas.

Cadet took the field for 18 of the Saints' 61 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, reports ESPN.com, while Pierre Thomas took 23 snaps and Khiry Robinson had 18 snaps.
Cadet set a career high in snaps, receptions (six) and total yards (60) in Sunday's game, though he did lose a fumble as well. While Cadet's solid performance may garner him additional playing time going forward, his increase in snaps was likely largely the result of the blowout nature of last week's game, and Thomas - despite his underwhelming performance (four touches for 23 total yards) - should continue to see the majority of the snaps, as well as remain the primary backfield receiver in New Orleans, as long as Mark Ingram remains sidelined with a hand injury.

Cadet caught 6-of-6 targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 38-17 loss to the Saints. He gained one yard on his only carry.
Cadet, who previously had just two carries and one reception this season, surprisingly handled most of the work on passing downs, leaving just four touches for Pierre Thomas. If he holds on to the role, Cadet could pile up quite a few catches, as Thomas and Darren Sproles combined for 148 last year. While he mostly played well in Sunday's game, Cadet did lose a fumble during garbage time. There's some chance he won't be in next week's gameplan, but the same is essentially true of Thomas. With Khiry Robinson handling most of the early-down work in Mark Ingram's (hand) absence, Thomas and Cadet will need to pile up most of their points through the air.

Cadet carried twice for nine yards in the Saints' win against the Vikings on Sunday.
With Mark Ingram sidelined, Cadet moves into third in the Saints' running back pecking order. He will likely see a few carries or receptions here and there, as well as continue to return kicks - of which there were none this week - but his value is capped as long as Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson remain healthy.

Cadet did not record a carry or a catch in Sunday's loss to the Browns but he did return two kickoffs for a total of 35 yards. However, with ESPN.com reporting that Mark Ingram could miss at least a month with a hand injury suffered in Sunday's contest, Cadet could see an increased workload.
Cadet is unlikely to be the direct beneficiary of Ingram's absence, but if Pierre Thomas is pressed into more carries, Cadet, an adept receiver, could be used more frequently in passing situations, as Thomas is unlikely to be forced into a workhorse role at this point in his career. As such, Cadet could be worth a flier in deeper PPR leagues in the event he's handed a more substantial role with Ingram sidelined.
Wed Sep 10 201417:04Cadet caught Saints' first pass of year
Cadet caught the Saints' first pass of the year, but it was his only offensive touch in the team's season-opening loss in Atlanta on Sunday. In fact, Cadet was only on the field for 12 of the Saints' 75 offensive snaps, equaling Khiry Robinson's snap total, but far less than Mark Ingram (20 snaps) and Pierre Thomas (34 snaps), reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Cadet did, however, return one kickoff for 34 yards.
Barring injury, Cadet appears locked into his role as the Saints' fourth running back behind Thomas, Ingram and Robinson. As an adept pass catcher, if anything were to happen to Thomas, however, Cadet may be the most likely running back to benefit given the receiving role Thomas primarily occupies. As such, he may be worth a stash in deep PPR leagues and those rewarding points for return yardage, but he has little fantasy value as it stands now otherwise.

Cadet gained 16 yards on five carries and caught two passes for 22 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Titans. He also returned one kickoff for 26 yards.
Cadet appears locked in as the Saints' fourth running back. While he's unlikely to see much action on the ground - Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson are expected to carry much of that workload - he could see some opportunities as a third-down back when Pierre Thomas needs a breather. Still, absent injury, he doesn't project to be a significant fantasy contributor in standard leagues. Cadet does, however, appear to be the most likely candidate to fill the departed Darren Sproles' role as the Saints' primary kick returner, which could give him some sneaky value in leagues that reward return yardage.
Thu Jun 5 201422:59Travaris Cadet working as No. 4 tailback
Saints third-year RB Travaris Cadet is working as the No. 4 tailback at OTAs.
Versatile Cadet has practiced some in Darren Sproles' old role, but the Saints are more likely to lean on Brandin Cooks for those responsibilities. Cadet is behind Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram, and Khiry Robinson at tailback. Cadet's calling card is special teams, where he is a backup returner and can cover kicks.

Tue Mar 25 201420:22Payton: Cadet could pick up Sproles slack
Speaking Tuesday, Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Travaris Cadet is a candidate to pick up some of Darren Sproles' snaps.
Specifically, Payton said Cadet might take on "a little more of that role." Cadet was held without a rush attempt in 2013, and is still No. 4 on the depth chart. He is an excellent receiver, however, and much bigger than Sproles at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds. Always willing to get creative, Payton will find snaps for Cadet if he believes he's deserving of them.

Sat Mar 15 201413:45Travaris Cadet could see expanded role
ESPN.com's Mike Triplett believes Travaris Cadet is a candidate to replace Darren Sproles in the Saints' offense.
Cadet was held without a rushing attempt last year and is still fourth on the depth chart, but it's possible he could earn more playing time as a passing down back. He has a versatile skill-set and the potential to be the Saints' best receiving option out of the backfield. Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson remain the prime candidates to pick up Sproles' snaps.
