Bullock converted one field goal and two extra points in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Giants.
Any kicker's value is tied to how well the team's offense performs and Bullock was held to five points after quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three picks and the offense converted just 2-of-12 third down attempts. Bullock has scored just five points in two out of three games so far.

Bullock made three of four field-goal attempts and converted three extra points, accumulating 12 points in Sunday's win over Oakland. He had made 15 consecutive field goals dating back to last season until his final attempt Sunday was blocked.
A nice bounce back for Bullock, who had just five points in the season-opening victory over Washington last week. The Houston offense set him for several opportunities this week, though it may not always come as easy as it did in Week 2 against the Raiders.

Bullock booted a 42-yard field goal and two extra-points in Houston's win over Washington in Week 1.
It's a modest, yet encouraging, start to the season for Bullock, who missed several kicks as a rookie in 2013. Bullock's fantasy prospects are in a wait-and-see mode. We need to see the offense bounce back from a miserable 2013 season.
Fri Aug 29 201414:21Bullock remains Texans' top kicker
Bullock remains the Texans' top kicker, following the release of Chris Boswell, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Bullock, who recorded 104 points last season, isn't likely to be heavily targeted by fantasy owners out of the gate, but he could emerge as an in-season pickup candidate if the Texans' offense bounces back to any extent this season.

Bullock hit his only field-goal attempt Thursday night, converting on a 52-yarder in Houston's preseason loss to the 49ers. He also booted Houston's lone extra point.
Neither Bullock nor rookie Chris Boswell (1-for-1, 43 yards) did anything to change the perception coaches held entering the game. Bullock entered the game as the leader and it should be confirmed soon that he will open the season as the team's kicker.

Bullock is ahead of rookie Chris Boswell in the competition to become the team's starting placekicker, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, the Houston Chronicle reports. "Randy is in the lead," O'Brien said. "Randy has made some good kicks."
This makes perfect sense after Boswell missed two extra-point attempts in last week's preseason win over Atlanta. Bullock has been sharp throughout training camp and kicked a "game-winning" field goal in Wednesday's workout with the Broncos.

Bullock was successful on a 40-yard field goal and made two extra points in Saturday night's preseason win over Atlanta.
He's locked in a battle with rookie Chris Boswell, but the rookie shanked a couple of 33-yard extra-point attempts. The competition will continue, but Bullock clearly moved ahead of Boswell after Saturday's outing.

Bullock and Chris Boswell remain in competition for Houston's placekicking job, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Head coach Bill O'Brien said the job remains wide open as the Texans head into Saturday's preseason game against the Falcons.
Wed Jul 30 201407:34Bullock impressive during Monday's training camp session
Bullock was impressive during Monday's training camp session, bombing a few field goal attempts form 40 yards out and another one from 50-55 yards out, the Texans' official site reports.
Bullock, who had some inconsistent stretches in 2013, is being challenged in camp by rookie Chris Boswell. Both have kicked well, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, who was quick to point out neither kicker has faced a rush yet.
Fri Apr 25 201413:05Randy Bullock 1-of-4 from 50-plus in 2013
Texans K Randy Bullock was 1-of-4 on field goal attempts from beyond 50 yards in 2013.
Bullock's three misses came in the first two games. His only other attempt from 50-plus came against Oakland in Week 11 when he connected on a 51-yard kick. Bullock was just 26-of-35 last season, but he did make his final 12 attempts.

Wed Nov 6 201310:44Texans sticking with Bullock for now
The Texans are sticking with K Randy Bullock for now.
With Bullock 13-of-21 (61.9 percent) on the season, the Texans tried out Neil Rackers, Shayne Graham and Justin Medlock Tuesday. Surprisingly, none were signed. When you're a fifth-round pick as Bullock was, you get more leash than most. Bullock is clearly not a fantasy option while mired in this slump.

Mon Nov 4 201309:23Randy Bullock continues to struggle
Texans K Randy Bullock is 13-of-21 on field goals this season.
Bullock's 61.9 conversion rate ranks 32nd in the NFL. He's 0-of-4 from 50+, including an ugly miss from 55 yards out that could have sent Sunday night's game into overtime. The Texans burned a fifth-round pick on Bullock in 2012, but he's killing his team right now. They need to move on.

Tue Sep 17 201309:07Randy Bullock starts off career slow
Texans K Randy Bullock is 1-of-5 on field goals to start the season.
In Bullock's defense, three of the misses have come from 50+ yards out and the fourth was from 46 yards away. But it's not a good start to the on-field career of a guy that missed his entire rookie season with a groin tear. The Texans are sticking with Bullock, but fantasy owners should look for a kicker with more confidence right now.

Wed Aug 28 201310:15Randy Bullock kicking well for Texans
Texans K Randy Bullock is 6-of-7 on field goals this preseason.
That includes a 55-yarder against the Saints last week. Bullock, the 2011 Lou Groza Award winner as a senior at Texas A&M, missed his entire rookie year due to a groin tear. Fully healthy since December, he's a reasonable fantasy kicking option heading into Week 1. Shayne Graham's 38 attempts with the Texans in 2012 tied for third in the league.

Wed May 15 201318:17Randy Bullock recovered from groin tear
Texans K Randy Bullock confirmed he's 100 percent recovered from the groin tear that cost him his entire rookie season.
Houston's fifth-round pick in 2012, Bullock suffered the injury in a preseason game. "I feel great," he said. "I've been cleared ... (I'm) working out and doing everything normal. It feels good." The 2011 Lou Groza Award winner as college's top kicker, Bullock will be on the fantasy kicking radar this season.

Sun Mar 17 201309:59Randy Bullock to return as Texans' kicker
CSN Houston reports Randy Bullock is expected to be the Texans' kicker in 2013.
Shayne Graham is a free agent, and Houston isn't expected to re-sign him. Bullock, a fifth-round pick last year, tore his groin in training camp and missed his entire rookie season. He has a strong leg, connecting on 13-of-16 from 40-plus yards as a senior at Texas A&M.

Sun Aug 26 201216:41Texans place Bullock on injured reserve
Texans placed K Randy Bullock on injured reserve with a torn groin, ending his season.
It looks like veteran Shayne Graham will win Houston's kicking job by default. A fifth-round rookie out of Texas A&M, Bullock had been 3-of-4 on field goals in the preseason. The Texans likely still hope he can be their kicker of the future. Short-term stopgap Graham has been a perfect 5-of-5 this August.

Tue Aug 21 201213:36Report: Rookie K Bullock remains favorite
SI's Peter King confirms rookie Randy Bullock remains the favorite to beat out veteran Shayne Graham for Texans' kicking duties.
Bullock has had some "shaky moments" in training camp, and missed a 51-yard field goal versus the 49ers. Unless he stubs his toe in the next two weeks, though, the fifth-round investment will likely be the deciding factor in this competition.

Wed May 16 201209:34No favorite in Texans kicking battle
Texans special teams coordinator Joe Marciano insists there is no early favorite in the kicking competition between fifth-rounder Randy Bullock and veteran Shayne Graham.
"Over the long haul through the OTAs and training camp, there'll be somewhere in the vicinity of 130-150 kicks that we've charted," said Marciano, "and let the best man win." The Texans brass would prefer to have Bullock win the job outright, and Marciano praised the rookie as "almost unflappable, almost unbreakable."
