Sun Oct 14 201220:36Turbin totals 48 yards in win over Patriots
Robert Turbin rushed five times for 27 yards in Seattle's Week 6 win over the Patriots, adding two catches for 21 yards.
Turbin ran well behind a struggling Marshawn Lynch, but today was just the second time in six contests he's tallied more than 15 rushing yards. He remains a pure handcuff.

Wed Sep 5 201210:24Turbin will start if Lynch can't go
Beat writer Danny O'Neil confirms that Robert Turbin will start if Marshawn Lynch (back) can't play Sunday.
Per O'Neil, Turbin "was drafted for this." When Lynch missed Week 7 last season, the Seahawks split the rushing load between scatbacks Leon Washington and Justin Forsett. It didn't work as they combined for 62 yards and the team scored three total points in the game. Turbin projects as the early-down workhorse should Lynch sit against the Cardinals.

Sat Aug 25 201213:08Pete Carroll 'so happy' with Robert Turbin
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is "so happy" with rookie RB Robert Turbin.
"He's a really good football player," Carroll said after Turbin rushed for 93 yards on 14 carries against the Chiefs Friday. "I'm so happy with the draft pick. We went out to get a guy who could complement Marshawn (Lynch) and could give us good, hard-nosed running, and he's shown exactly that." Lynch carried a bruising load last season, and could cede a handful of carries per game to a player who has put a stranglehold on No. 2 duties.

Fri Aug 24 201223:41Robert Turbin has big preseason game vs KC
Rookie Robert Turbin rushed 14 times for 93 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for no yards in the Seahawks' third preseason game Friday night.
Turbin started this game for late-scratch Marshawn Lynch and was part of a dominant effort against Kansas City's first-team defense. Clearly a solid scheme fit in Seattle and emerging as a must-have handcuff for Lynch fantasy owners, Turbin has 34 carries for 151 yards (4.44 YPC) and the score through three preseason games on the ground. He's also caught six passes, gaining 19 yards.

Sat Aug 18 201223:28Turbin mixed in with first-team offense
Robert Turbin rushed for 34 yards on 10 carries in the Seahawks' second preseason game.
Turbin received more carries than Leon Washington, and was mixed in with the starting offense. Even if Marshawn Lynch avoids suspension, Turbin's power-running style is an ideal fit for Seattle's run-heavy, West Coast offense. Turbin has the size and speed to excel at the NFL level, but his vision and durability are question marks.

Sun Jul 29 201222:02King: Turbin most impressive rookie in camp
According to SI.com's Peter King, fourth-round RB Robert Turbin has been the most impressive rookie early in Seahawks camp.
King adds that Turbin may be needed "early and often" if commissioner Roger Goodell opts to take unilateral action on Marshawn Lynch before his trial is resolved. Turbin would get the bulk of the workload as a potential RB2 if Lynch misses time.

Sun Jul 22 201213:23Turbin expected to start if Lynch suspended
The Sports Xchange's Len Pasquarelli calls fourth-round pick Robert Turbin the Seahawks' "presumptive" starter should Marshawn Lynch face suspension following his DUI arrest.
Turbin reportedly showed "some toughness" in OTAs, though we're not quite sure how that's possible in non-contact practices. A 5-foot-10, 222-pound power back, Turbin will be a player to monitor closely in preseason games. He could be an in-season fantasy starter were Lynch hit with a lengthy suspension. One team exec told Pasquarelli that the Seahawks are "holding their breath" on possible Lynch discipline. We fully expect him to miss time.
