Wed Dec 1 201016:52Michael Jenkins limited on Wednesday
Michael Jenkins (quad) was limited in Falcons practice Wednesday.
Jenkins is expected to play against Tampa Bay, but is mostly a run-blocking wideout in a run-first offense. It's far from a recipe for fantasy success.

Sun Nov 28 201016:35Jenkins has 24 yards in Week 12 win
Michael Jenkins caught three passes for 24 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 win over the Packers.
Jenkins blocked well outside and make a few possession-type plays, which is his role in the Falcons' offense. He has one touchdown in his last 21 games.
Sun Nov 21 201020:00Jenkins reels in five passes
Michael Jenkins caught five passes for 58 yards in the Week 11 win over the Rams.
He was targeted eight times, which tied for second on the team with Tony Gonzalez. Jenkins remains an unexciting fantasy option that's 46.5 yards per game over the last four weeks. He should be owned only in deeper formats.
Fri Nov 12 201000:02Jenkins hauls in five passes for 48 yards
Michael Jenkins caught five passes for 48 yards against the Ravens in Week 10.
Jenkins came up huge with a 24-yard finger-tip catch on the sidelines on third down in the Falcons' game-winning drive. It was easy to see Jenkings caught the ball, which didn't stop NFL Network's Joe Theismann from cluelessly calling for a pointless replay review. Despite 10 targets Thursday, Jenkins isn't worth carrying in fantasy leagues.
Sun Nov 7 201017:21Michael Jenkins has 43-yard grab, little else
Michael Jenkins caught just two passes for 55 yards in the Falcons' Week 9 win over Tampa Bay.
If Roddy White somehow misses Thursday's game against Baltimore, Jenkins would be worth a look, but we don't see that happening. He's a great blocker, but his 43-yard reception is just his third 40+ grab in over two and a half seasons. It was an impressive play, as he burned Brent Grimes down the sideline, yet his four targets and lack of big-play ability severely hamper his fantasy potential.
Sun Oct 17 201018:15Jenkins has big day in loss
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) caught five passes for 99 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
What a 2010 debut for Jenkins. He started opposite Roddy White and piled up 11 targets while Harry Douglas saw just six passes come his way. Still, Jenkins' big play came on a quick slant pattern that strangely ended up going for 42 yards. Jenkins didn't have a single 100-yard game in all of 2009 and should not be picked up.
Wed Oct 13 201008:13Jenkins regains starting role
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) was listed as the starter opposite Roddy White on the Falcons' latest depth chart.
He will make his 2010 debut in Week 6 and, as expected, will regain his starting job. Harry Douglas had a chance to stake claim to the starting gig but didn't do enough. He'll be moved to a slot role.

Mon Oct 11 201015:22Michael Jenkins to resume starting
Falcons coach Mike Smith said Monday that Michael Jenkins (shoulder) will return to the lineup in Week 6.
Jenkins has been medically cleared for several weeks, but Smith wanted to be sure he's 100 percent before using him. "I haven't seen him this excited in a long time," said Smith. "Michael is a big receiver." With Harry Douglas making little impact, Jenkins figures to resume starting at Philadelphia.

Sun Oct 10 201012:03Falcons declare Week 5 inactives
Falcons declared WR Michael Jenkins, CB Dominique Franks, OG Mike Johnson, RB Gartrell Johnson, DT Trey Lewis, OT Garrett Reynolds, DE Lawrence Sidbury, and QB John Parker Wilson inactive for Week 5 at Cleveland.
Jenkins has been inactive for three straight weeks despite participating in practice. Harry Douglas will continue to start and can be used as a desperation flex play in PPR leagues.
Fri Oct 8 201018:31Michael Jenkins limited, questionable
Michael Jenkins (questionable, shoulder) was limited in Falcons practice Friday.
Jenkins has worn the "questionable/limited" designation three weeks running, and has been inactive the last two. We have no idea if he'll be activated against the Browns, but the blocking wideout isn't a fantasy option anyway.
Thu Oct 7 201016:18Jenkins limited in Thursday's practice
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
Jenkins is getting closer to returning to game action, but his status for this week remains uncertain.

Michael Jenkins (shoulder) was limited in Falcons practice Wednesday.
Jenkins has been "limited" in practice for the last two weeks, but still hasn't made his 2010 debut. His status for Week 5 against Cleveland is unclear.

Fri Oct 1 201015:41Michael Jenkins limited
Michael Jenkins (questionable, shoulder) was limited in Friday's practice.
The Falcons will make a decision on Jenkins' status just before game time against the 49ers. Either way, Jenkins shouldn't be on fantasy rosters.

Thu Sep 30 201015:22Jenkins limited in Thursday's practice

Jenkins' practice reps have increased this week, but doctors have yet to clear him for game action. The Falcons hope to gain clearance by the weekend.

Wed Sep 29 201015:52Michael Jenkins limited Wednesday
Falcons WR Michael Jenkins (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Jenkins is inching closer to a return, but isn't a passing game asset even when healthy. He'll work in a rotation if he plays Sunday against the 49ers.

Sun Sep 26 201010:56Jenkins out for Falcons
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) will not play against the Saints on Sunday.
This hurts the Falcons' running game more than anything as Jenkins is an elite blocker. Harry Douglas has failed to capitalize on Jenkins' elongated absence, so the fantasy impact is minimal.

Fri Sep 24 201016:26Michael Jenkins practices on Friday
Michael Jenkins (questionable, shoulder) practiced on a limited basis Friday.
Jenkins practiced in a limited manner each day this week. NFL Network's Steve Wyche reported that he may only be used on obvious running downs in his first game back. Jenkins is the Falcons' best run-blocking receiver.

Thu Sep 23 201016:29Jenkins limited in Thursday's practice
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) was limited in Falcons practice Thursday.
Jenkins, sidelined since early in training camp, is being worked back in slowly. He's not a good bet to start this week if he suits up against the Saints.

Wed Sep 22 201020:16Falcons to work Jenkins in slowly
Coach Mike Smith said Wednesday that the Falcons will work Michael Jenkins back into the offense "slowly" as he returns from a shoulder injury.
Jenkins didn't work with the starters in Wednesday's practice and figures to be used only as a blocker if he's active at New Orleans. Jenkins will rotate with Week 1 starter Harry Douglas and Week 2 starter Eric Weems.

Wed Sep 22 201015:22Michael Jenkins returns to practice
Michael Jenkins (shoulder) returned to Falcons practice Wednesday.
The Falcons never revealed the extent of Jenkins' injury, but it was severe enough to cost him the first two regular season games after a lost preseason. Harry Douglas didn't do enough to "win" the job opposite Roddy White in Weeks 1-2, so look for Jenkins to retake it if he plays at New Orleans.
