Wed Aug 22 2012 | 10:46 | Yanks considering demoting Joba Chamberlain |
According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, the Yankees are considering demoting Joba Chamberlain. |
Chamberlain has really struggled since returning from Tommy John surgery and a right ankle dislocation, posting a 9.35 ERA and 4/4 K/BB ratio over 6 2/3 innings. The Yankees need to make a move to activate CC Sabathia (elbow) from the disabled list, so sending Chamberlain down to the minors for 10 days might not be the worst idea. He would return when rosters expand in September. |
