Updating a previous item, the Clippers officially sign F/C Ronny Turiaf to a one-year contract.

Thu Jul 26 201201:07Big man Ronny Turiaf signs with Clippers
Clippers sign F/C Ronny Turiaf to one-year contract.
Turiaf, who is coming off a groin injury, will help back up center DeAndre Jordan, but it's tough to have fantasy value when you have no offensive game and are best known for overcoming heart surgery and waving a towel on the bench.

Mon Jul 23 201208:06Turiaf drawing interest from Real Madrid
Unrestricted FA Ronny Turiaf is drawing interest from Real Madrid.
Turiaf surprisingly declined his player option for next season with the Heat, and we haven't heard much about how his market has developed since. It's possible Turiaf could look to explore an expanded role overseas, but our guess is that he looks to stick in the NBA before seriously considering that possibility.

Sat Jun 30 201212:28Ronny Turiaf declines 2012-13 player option
Ronny Turiaf has declined his player option for 2012-13, making him an unrestricted FA.
The Heat already picked up Dexter Pittman's option for next season and losing Turiaf won't sting too badly. He should find a low-end, multi-year deal without too much trouble.

Ronny Turiaf will make a decision on his $1.2 million player option for next season on Saturday.
Agent Mark Bartelstein said that Turiaf will submit his decision to the team by the weekend. Miami has until Saturday to decide whether or not to guarantee Pittman's salary for next season.

Heat big man Ronny Turiaf, who missed Game 5 due to a strained right groin, is fully expected to play in Game 6 on Thursday.
Chris Bosh sounds like the starting center for the Heat tonight, but that is not official. Either way, it sounds like Turiaf will play some minutes in tonight's crucial game.

Wed Jun 6 201215:35Ronny Turiaf day-to-day w/ strained groin
Ronny Turiaf did not play in Game 5 due to a strained right groin, and he is considered day-to-day.
Chris Bosh couldn't have returned at a better time for the Heat and will likely have a bigger role in Game 6, especially if Turiaf remains sidelined. Groin injuries are easily aggravated, so don't be surprised if Miami exercises caution and rests their veteran PF/C.

Thu May 17 201221:47Turiaf starts second half for Pittman
Ronny Turiaf started the second half for Dexter Pittman, who only lasted three minutes before being yanked in his first career playoff start.
Turiaf put up a somewhat respectable five points, eight boards, and a block in 17 minutes, and as for Pittman we don't really know what to make of his one foul and two blocked shot attempts. Throwing the kid in the fire after riding the pine all season was unconventional to say the least.

Tue May 15 201218:17Ronny Turiaf starting in place of Chris Bosh
Ronny Turiaf will start in Tuesday's Game 2 against the Pacers.
With Chris Bosh (abdominal) out indefinitely, the Heat are announcing their starting lineup on a game-to-game basis. Starter Udonis Haslem will see a boost in minutes along with Joel Anthony. LeBron James will also spend plenty of time as a power forward when the Heat go small. In five starts during the regular season, Turiaf averaged 4.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

Mon May 14 201215:49Ronny Turiaf to start in place of Bosh?
Coach Erik Spoelstra said he hasn't decided who will start in place of Chris Bosh (abdominal) in Game 2 against the Pacers.
Ronny Turiaf seems like the logical choice after he started the second half of Game 1. But no matter who starts, LeBron James is going to see plenty of time at power forward as part of a small lineup. Udonis Haslem and Joel Anthony also project to see a boost in minutes.

Wed May 9 201217:40Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) close to 100%
Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) is "close to 100 percent," according to coach Erik Spoelstra.
Turiaf logged seven minutes in Game 1 but hasn't played since, and apparently it's not due to the injury. He's unlikely to earn a bigger role while Joel Anthony, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem are all healthy.

Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) returned to action on Thursday, playing 18 minutes on his way to five points, five boards, three steals, and one block.
Turiaf won't play in loose games like this every time out, so playoff owners shouldn't get overly excited about this line. He will, however, provide some much-needed toughness and we wouldn't be surprised to see him in the game during some key moments.

Fri Apr 13 201219:00Ronny Turiaf (hand) out Friday vs. Bobcats
Ronny Turiaf (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's Heat game against the Bobcats.
With Turiaf, Udonis Haslem (stomach virus) and Wade (rest) all out, Joel Anthony is getting the start for Miami and is a decent last-minute plug-and-play if you need rebounds in a deeper league.

Sun Apr 8 201221:57Ronny Turiaf nearly double-doubles
Ronny Turiaf had eight points, nine rebounds, a steal and two blocks in Sunday's win.
The nine boards were his most with Miami and he is starting to come on a bit. If you're in a deep league and are desperate at center, give him a look.

Wed Apr 4 201208:26Turiaf's move to starting five not permanent?
Erik Spoelstra said that Ronny Turiaf's move to the starting lineup was not "set in stone."
Turiaf is worth keeping an eye on for as long as he's starting over Joel Anthony, but regardless of who is starting, neither big man offers upside in the majority of fantasy formats.

Tue Apr 3 201218:47Ronny Turiaf starting in place of Anthony
Ronny Turiaf, not Joel Anthony, will start at center in Tuesday's game against the Sixers.
Anthony is not known to be injured, so it's a strange move considering he's started 50 games for the Heat this season. It's unclear if this is a permanent move or if coach Erik Spoelstra is just shaking things up with Dwyane Wade (knee) out of the lineup. Turiaf does have elite shot-blocking ability, so extreme deep-leaguers should be monitoring the situation.
