The Clippers remain strong frontrunners to sign free agent Glen Davis (Achilles).

This one could be spotted from a mile away, but it's always nice to get some reinforcement. The Clippers are very thin behind DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin at their big spots and coach Doc Rivers is a Big Baby fan from back in their Celtics days. Davis has not looked comfortable on offense in his time with the Magic and has never been a per-minute stud, so the loss of playing time is a death blow to his fantasy value.

It wasnt a serious injury on the court, but the team may still proceed with caution and re-evaluate him on Thursday. Davis should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks. Kyle O'Quinn and Andrew Nicholson should get more playing time while Victor Oladipo could move back into the starting lineup.

He's had some better games with Jameer Nelson (knee) out of the lineup before, but we're not ready to say he's "back" after one game.

That's six straight games in single-figure scoring for Davis and he's not doing anything to support the claim of him being owned in even 14-team leagues right now. He's an inefficient scorer and doesn't provide much defense, so stubborn fantasy owners shouldn't feel too bad about cutting him after tonight.

If you thought he was bad without Nikola Vucevic around, he was even worse tonight. The only thing Big Baby has going for him right now is that he's starting over Tobias Harris. In case you're scoring at home, he hasn't scored in double figures in five straight games, hasn't hit double digits in rebounds in seven straight, and has blocked just one shot in his last 10 games. Yuck.

Davis wasn't even trying for rebounds and we're not sure if he's hurt or just had some bad pizza the night before. He has to be scoring and rebounding big to offset his many deficient areas in standard leagues, and even with Nikola Vucevic out right now he can be dropped for a hot free agent.

Unfortunately, his past-month averages of 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks are paired with lousy 42.8 percent FGs and 64.0 percent FTs, which has made him unplayable in typical 12-team leagues.

With Nikola Vucevic out indefinitely his low-end value is solidified, but as you can see the inefficiencies are a drag. Victor Oladipo scored 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting with one three, one board, three assists and a steal, and Jameer Nelson hit just 2-of-11 shots for six points, four rebounds and eight assists in the loss.

Glen Davis started at center against the Blazers on Wednesday with 16 points, six boards and two assists on 7-of-18 shooting in 36 minutes.

It was his sixth start at center and he's had some success there, averaging 17.0 points, 7.2 boards, 1.0 blocks and 1.2 steals in 36.2 minutes in those starts. Davis should be putting up better numbers while Nikola Vucevic (head) is out.

Vucevic's injury doesn't appear to be serious, so Davis' sudden rebounding prowess could be short lived.

On top of that, he shot 57.1 percent from the line in that span and he's really slowed down. Things might pick up for Davis with Nikola Vucevic (ankle) going down tonight, making Davis a hold in fantasy leagues.
