Wed Dec 18 201320:24Glen Davis (knee) starts the second half
Updating a previous item, Glen Davis started the second half after a leg injury.
He came back out on the court with a black wrap on his left knee. Davis looks to be fine and there is no need to worry.

Wed Dec 18 201320:05Glen Davis injures leg, goes to locker room
Glen Davis suffered an apparent left knee injury in the second quarter of Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
He limped under his own power to the locker room and it didn't look good. Davis has been banged up this season with foot and shoulder injuries, but this knee issue is new as far as this season goes. Tobias Harris would be in line for more minutes while Andrew Nicholson could also get more playing time.

Mon Dec 16 201318:55Glen Davis will play through hurt shoulder
Glen Davis (shoulder) said he's definitely playing on Monday night against the Bulls.
He went to the basket on Sunday night and crashed under the basket, which caused him a lot of pain and to remain down for a couple minutes. Davis actually took the Magic's last shot in the game after coming back -- and air-ball 3-point attempt. He has a low upside, so fantasy owners can use him like they normally would.

Mon Dec 16 201300:04Glen Davis returns after dislocating shoulder
Glen Davis dislocated his left shoulder during Sunday's game, but he was able to return and said afterward, "I'll be all right."
"I've been out of basketball too long to let a little boo-boo hurt me as long as I can use [the shoulder]," Davis said. "It's going to be sore. You don't play the game 100 percent [healthy] ... As long as I can move it and it doesn't stop my motion and I'm not going to hurt it even more by playing, I'll be fine." The return of Tobias Harris has already threatened Big Baby's playing time, but he finished Sunday's game with a productive line in 29 minutes. We're listing Davis as questionable for Monday's road game vs. the Bulls.

Sun Dec 15 201321:23Glen Davis leaves w/ apparent shoulder injury
Glen Davis exited Sunday's game with an apparent left shoulder injury after colliding with the basket stanchion.
We'll pass along more information as it becomes available. Guys like Andrew Nicholson, Tobias Harris and Moe Harkless will all have more breathing room if the injury costs Davis any games.

Fri Dec 13 201322:49Glen Davis quiet in loss to Cavaliers
Glen Davis played 23 minutes and had six points and four rebounds, as Tobias Harris finally returned from a high ankle sprain on Friday.
Davis came into this one hot, but couldn't get it going tonight. While the return of Harris is definitely a concern for Davis, he still got solid minutes and our guess is he bounces back in the next one. But if he struggles over his next couple games, it's possible that a timeshare with Harris could really put the clamps on his fantasy value going forward.

Wed Dec 11 201321:39Glen Davis posts big line in win over Cats
Glen Davis had 17 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 8-of-17 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Bobcats.
That's quite a line from Big Baby, who has played in just 11 games this season. It didn't take him long to round into form and it was nice to see him do this on the same night that center Nikola Vucevic also had a double-double. Maybe the eventual return of Tobias Harris will slow Davis down, but it doesn't appear likely to happen at this point.

Sun Dec 8 201322:11Glen Davis scores 18 points in 28 minutes
Glen Davis held his own vs. Dwight Howard and the Rockets on Sunday, notching 18 points with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and only one turnover in 28 minutes.
The bad news is that he needed 18 field goal attempts to get his points and he'll soon lose touches to Nikola Vucevic, who is day-to-day with a sprained ankle. Big Baby has been all over the place in December with point totals of two, 33, four and 18, but he should settle into late-middle round value until Tobias Harris (ankle) returns.

Sat Dec 7 201300:50Glen Davis struggles vs. Knicks
Glen Davis shot 1-of-7 from the field for four points with nine boards, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes against the Knicks on Friday.
The Magic got demolished tonight and lost 121-83 at MSG. Davis was coming off a career-high 33 points on Tuesday and was on the other end of the spectrum in his worst game of the year. He's never really been much of an efficient scorer with his career 7.5 field goal attempts only yielding 8.6 points per game. While tonight was terrible, Big Baby should maintain some value while Tobias Harris (ankle) is inactive.

Fri Dec 6 201309:54Glen Davis lightest he's been since 8th grade
Glen Davis is reportedly the lightest he's been since the 8th grade.
``Eighth grade. Yeah, really, it's the lightest I've been since the eighth grade,'' said Davis. With Tobias Harris still recovering from an ankle injury, Big Baby is set to get heavy minutes, and as he showed on Tuesday (33 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals) he can really rack up the points and is worth owning in all leagues.

Tue Dec 3 201322:48Glen Davis scores career-high 33 points
Glen Davis scored a career-high 33 points against the Sixers on Tuesday to go with three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer on 15-of-24 shooting in 50 minutes.
His 3-pointer was just the seventh of his career and it wasn't the prettiest shot you'll ever see. The Magic got the maximum effort out of Davis tonight with Nikola Vucevic (ankle) out of the lineup and it's hard to believe he logged 50 minutes after playing just 21 on Monday. His previous season high was 35 and he should continue to get minutes in the mid-30s until Tobias Harris (ankle) comes back. He's worth owning in all leagues.

Mon Dec 2 201321:56Big Baby has a terrible game vs. Wizards
Glen Davis shot 1-of-8 from the field for two points with two boards and one assist in 21 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.
He missed all six shots in the paint tonight and just could get anything to fall while battling foul trouble. Davis' big weak spot as a fantasy big man is his sub-par shooting from the floor and entering tonight shooting 50 percent from the field is well above his career average of just 44.5 percent. Big Baby is take 11 shots per game and should still be worth owning in standard leagues. His ceiling isn't very high, though.

Thu Nov 28 201311:40Glen Davis working way back into shape
Glen Davis (foot) is feeling better after two consecutive starts since his return from injury.
"I'm still trying to find my legs," Davis said. "It's a process. I'm not sitting out a whole lot. I'm really proud of myself." Big Baby is averaging 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in his two starts and should be able to improve upon those stats as he works his way back into playing shape. Davis should be owned in all fantasy leagues at this point.

Wed Nov 27 201322:08Glen Davis scores 19 points in win
Glen Davis made his second start of the season on Wednesday, scoring 19 points with five boards, one assist and one block in a season-high 35 minutes.
The Magic are going to be without Tobias Harris (ankle) for a little while since they declared him "out indefinitely." Davis has hit the ground running in his four games this season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.5 boards and 1.8 steals on 28.8 minutes. He's worth owning in all leagues.

Tue Nov 26 201323:44Glen Davis scores eight with eight boards
Glen Davis started on Tuesday night for the first time this season and had eight points, eight boards and three steals on 3-of-9 shooting in 32 minutes.
This is more or less the quintessential line from Big Baby. Davis doesn't shoot the ball well, isn't much of a shot blocker, but he can add some steals. Davis wasn't expected to start tonight, then Tobias Harris getting scratched changed that. He's worth owning in standard leagues.

Tue Nov 26 201318:27Glen Davis will start at PF on Tuesday
Glen Davis will start Tuesday's game alongside Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo, Moe Harkless and Nikola Vucevic.
Victor Oladipo heads to the bench as coach Jacque Vaughn wasted no time getting his veteran PF back into the lineup upon his return. Davis makes a decent speculative add in case he hangs onto the PF job.

Sat Nov 23 201322:32Glen Davis scores 20 points in debut
Glen Davis had a terrific start to his 2013-14 season on Saturday with 20 points, five boards, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes against the Heat.
It was his first game back since Jan. 30 and the Magic went to him more than expected tonight. He played 31.3 minutes per game last season, but he might have a tough time duplicating that total once Tobias Harris (ankle) comes back. The Magic could look to trade him, which wouldn't help his value on a contending team. He's still worth owning in standard leagues after this kind of game.

Glen Davis is active for Saturday's game against the Heat and is expected to make his season debut.

Wed Nov 20 201317:44Glen Davis still out of the lineup on Wed.
Glen Davis (foot) is not playing for the Magic on Wednesday.
He is getting closer and practiced on Monday and Tuesday, but he will need some more time on the sidelines. Davis' upside won't be too high with low field goal shooting and a lack of blocks, so he's not a must-stash guy.
