Tue Jul 27 201009:03Telfair won't play for Wolves
Sebastian Telfair is expected to be traded or bought out of the remaining $2.7 million on his contract.
It's cost-cutting time in Minnesota, where they traded for Telfair and Delonte West just so they could dump them cheaply. Look for the Wolves to sign a veteran point guard to a minimum contract so they're protected while Johnny Flynn (hip) is out.

Mon Jul 26 201021:55Wolves get another PG -- Sebastian Telfair
The Timberwolves acquired point guard Sebastian Telfair in Monday's trade with the Cavaliers.
Telfair has already played for Minnesota, from 2007-2009, and he'll join a muddled pool of PGs alongside Jonny Flynn and Luke Ridnour, with Ricky Rubio looking over all of their shoulders. Whatever goal Wolves GM David Kahn has in mind (Telfair may soon be trade again), there is little reason to like Telfair in fantasy leagues - he's a career 39% shooter who has never averaged 10+ ppg.
Sat May 29 201011:08Telfair picks up $2.7 million player option
Cavaliers guard Sebastian Telfair picked up his $2.7 million player option for 2010-11.
Telfair had to make a decision before the June deadline, and obviously didn't feel he could command more money as a free agent. He's unlikely to have fantasy value in Cleveland next season.

Thu Apr 15 201010:12Telfair back in action for Cavaliers
Cavaliers guard Sebastian Telfair returned from the flu on Wednesday with eight points and five assists in 24 minutes of action.
Telfair didn't travel with the team but was able to catch a commercial flight to Atlanta. He should only see spot minutes as Cleveland begins their playoff run vs. the Bulls in the first round.

Wed Apr 14 201018:56Telfair to play through flu on Wednesday
Sebastian Telfair is back from a bout with the flu and will play on Wednesday.
The Cavs and Hawks game may look more like a scrimmage than an NBA game, so Bassy could actually have a big night.

Tue Apr 13 201016:46Telfair may not play in season finale
Sebastian Telfair is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks because of an illness.
Telfair has proven that he's at least a backup caliber point guard, but he's not an option when Mo Williams and Delonte West are healthy.

Fri Apr 9 201022:19Telfair plays well again
Sebastian Telfair had 21 points, four assists, three rebounds and two treys off the bench in Friday's loss to the Pacers.
We're stunned that Telfair has been able to play so well after sitting out for nearly two months. Still, he only got real minutes because Mo Williams was resting and Delonte West was ejected in the third quarter. Leave Bassy alone.
Thu Apr 8 201023:54Telfair (groin) makes return Thursday
Sebastian Telfair (groin) returned to action for the first time since Jan. 20, and scored eight points on 4-of-7 shooting with no rebounds and three assists in 16 minutes off the bench.
Anything is possible if coach Mike Brown decides to play the end of his bench to finish out the string, but there's no way owners can use that as justification to own, let alone activate a guy like Telfair.
Thu Apr 8 201014:21Telfair will be active tonight
Sebastian Telfair will be active tonight for the first time as a Cavalier.
Telfair ruptured his groin and and then was traded to the Cavs as part of the Antawn Jamison deal. He gets his shot tonight with Delonte West and Daniel Gibson inactive.
