Fri Jul 20 2012 | 08:45 | Grant Hill undergoes Orthokine knee treatment |
Grant Hill traveled to Germany this summer to receive Orthokine treatment. |
Kobe Bryant has made the treatment popular among NBA players with knee issues, and Hill called the procedure "icing on the cake," also saying that he's now feeling the best he's felt "in a while." Hill signed a two-year contract with the Clippers in free agency and will serve as Caron Butler's backup at small forward. |

Wed Jul 18 2012 | 15:26 | Clippers officially sign G/F Grant Hill |
The Clippers officially signed G/F Grant Hill on Wednesday. |
Per team policy, details were not released, but it has been reported that it is a two-year deal. Hill spent the last five seasons with the Phoenix Suns, averaging 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 28.1 minutes in 49 games played during the 2011-12 campaign in which he also received five All-NBA Defensive Team votes and received multiple Defensive Player of the Year votes. The Suns' superb medical staff has been credited for Hill's resurgence, we will have to wait and see how Hill, who will be 40 when the season begins, can hold up in L.A. He will initially back up Caron Butler next season. |

Tue Jul 17 2012 | 12:20 | Report: Grant Hill heading to the Clippers |
Grant Hill "is going to the Clippers," according to Phoenix sports radio host John Gambadoro. |
Gambadoro was first to have the news on Steve Nash heading to the Lakers, so we're inclined to believe that Hill may have an agreement in place with Los Angeles. Although he was rumored to be joining the Lakers, it appears as if Hill has opted for the other Los Angeles team instead. |

Tue Jul 17 2012 | 09:43 | Report: Clippers enter the mix for Grant Hill |
The Clippers have "made contact" with unrestricted free agent Grant Hill. |
An ESPN report stated that the team had interest in Hill, while the Los Angeles Times reports that Hill is "less likely" to join the Lakers despite having conversations with both Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. Hill was known to have the Lakers, Knicks and Heat on his radar, but it sounds as if the Clippers are now under consideration as well. |

Mon Jul 16 2012 | 12:06 | Report: FA Grant Hill leaning toward Lakers |
Unrestricted free agent Grant Hill is "leaning towards" signing with the Lakers. |
This news comes from the same source who broke the Steve Nash to Lakers deal, so we're inclined to take it seriously. Hill has reportedly received convincing recruiting pitches from Nash and Kobe Bryant, and those are two guys who can be awfully hard to turn down. If signed, Hill would be a savvy pickup for Los Angeles. |

Sun Jul 15 2012 | 09:15 | Grant Hill meets with Knicks |

Tue Jul 10 2012 | 15:34 | Free agent Grant Hill says he won't retire |
Grant Hill said at Team USA practice on Tuesday that he is not retiring from the NBA. |
This is not really news, as it became pretty clear he was coming back after the treatment he received on his knee this summer. He also mentioned one team - the Lakers, after an earlier report suggested he was also looking at the Heat and Thunder. If we had to guess, he'll be teammates with Steve Nash again next season. |

Wed Jul 4 2012 | 22:17 | Will Grant Hill join Steve Nash in L.A.? |
Twitter is full of information suggesting Suns swingman and unrestricted free agent Grant Hill might be preparing to join Steve Nash and the Lakers next season. |
Hill still has some gas left in the tank, although the Lakers would have to plan on limiting his minutes throughout the regular season. Hill, Nash and Kobe are certainly not a young core, but are all still good enough to make the Lakers a serious contender. Stay tuned. |

Mon Jul 2 2012 | 01:58 | Hill has Kobe knee treatment, LAL interested |
Unrestricted free agent Grant Hill reportedly underwent the same blood-spinning treatment that Kobe Bryant had over a year ago, and Ric Bucher reported Sunday that the Lakers, Suns, Raptors, and Knicks are interested in him. |
Regardless of its effectiveness, the Kobe knee treatment has jumped the shark as a marketing pitch by agents, surrogates, etc. That said, even at 39 years old, we expect Hill to contribute for a contender next season. |

Fri May 25 2012 | 10:11 | Grant Hill reiterates that he's not retiring |
Grant Hill reiterated that he's not prepared to retire. |
"I'm just focusing on being healthy," he said. The 39-year-old wants to continue playing despite dealing with a knee injury that hampered him down the stretch this season. The Suns have already expressed an openness for Hill to return, but he'll likely have to take a major pay cut from the $6.5 million he made this year. |

Wed May 2 2012 | 21:05 | Grant Hill's knee injury could end career |
Suns president Lon Babby said Grant Hill's return to the Suns will have more to do with his knee injury than free agency. |
It's quite possible that Hill's latest knee injury/surgery could be a career-ender. Hill has said he wants to return to play next season and it could happen with the Suns, but only if his knee is healthy enough for him to squeeze an 18th season out of his body. |

Mon Apr 30 2012 | 10:49 | Grant Hill wants to keep playing |
Impending free agent Grant Hill said he wants to return for the 2012-13 season. |
Hill will be 40 in October, but played at a surprisingly solid level this season. He was the Suns' perimeter stopper on defense and also averaged 10.2 points. Of course, Hill missed 17 games and the rebuilding Suns can't afford to tie up a lot of cap space in him. |

Wed Apr 25 2012 | 00:06 | Grant Hill leaves with sore knee |
Grant Hill left Tuesday's game in the first half and will not return due to a sore knee. |
He just came back from the injury but only lasted three minutes. This probably assures his regular season is over. |

Tue Apr 24 2012 | 21:26 | Grant Hill still a game-time decision |
Grant Hill is still a game-time decision for the Suns, per coach Alvin Gentry. |
This contradicts an earlier report we got on Hill, so we're guessing he'll play in the Suns most important game of the season. |

Tue Apr 24 2012 | 14:56 | Grant Hill optimisitic on status |
Grant Hill (knee) is optimistic that he'll be able to play in Tuesday's showdown with the Jazz. |
Hill has had his knee drained multiple times and clearly wants to help his team in this must-win spot. Still, we wouldn't expect him to cut into Shannon Brown's role severely. Brown has started 15 straight games and is coming off a 28-point performance. |

Mon Apr 23 2012 | 14:34 | Grant Hill gets knee drained |
Grant Hill (knee) did not practice Monday. |
Hill had his knee drained and remains very questionable for Tuesday's must-win against the Jazz. Even if the veteran plays, he'll likely come off the bench behind Shannon Brown, who has started 15 straight games. Brown is averaging 14.7 points, 1.9 3-pointers and 1.0 steals in April. |

Sat Apr 21 2012 | 17:04 | Grant Hill (knee) will sit out again Saturday |
Grant Hill (knee) will sit out Saturday's game vs. the Nuggets. |
Hill is still having trouble with lateral movement, but he's day-to-day and could return for at least one of the Suns' final games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Phoenix is currently decimal points ahead of the Jazz for the final playoff spot out West. |

Fri Apr 20 2012 | 07:54 | Grant Hill had fluid drained from his knee |
Grant Hill had fluid drained from his knee earlier this week. |
Maybe Hill shouldn't have returned just two weeks after his arthroscopic surgery? He's now missed three straight games after returning to action, but the veteran is expected to play on Saturday against the Nuggets. "He's just not quite there," said Alvin Gentry. Shannon Brown had eight points and four steals in 31 minutes starting in his place on Thursday. |

Thu Apr 19 2012 | 21:18 | Reversal: Grant Hill (knee) out on Thursday |
Grant Hill (knee) will not play on Thursday against the Clippers, but coach Alvin Gentry said that there is a "good chance" he will play on Saturday against the Nuggets. |
Hill was tentatively expected to play, but this clearly shows that he is not really ready for NBA action at this time. The Suns are in a fight for the No. 8 seed with the Rockets and Jazz, each separated by a half-game before tonight. Shannon Brown has typically performed well without Hill, but last night he put up an empty seven-point line. |

Thu Apr 19 2012 | 14:32 | Grant Hill could play Thursday |
Grant Hill (knee) is tentatively expected to return for Thursday's game against the Clippers. |
The Suns probably have to win out to make the playoffs, so there's no reason to keep anything in the tank. Hill figures to play off the bench behind Shannon Brown and his minute count will depend on how that knee responds to game action. |
