Wed Apr 18 201214:26Grant Hill (knee) doubtful for Wednesday
Grant Hill (knee) is not expected to play on Wednesday, but he hopes to return for Thursday's game vs. the Clippers.
The veteran SF struggled after trying to play in back-to-back games last weekend, so it's not surprising that he would choose to rest on Wednesday. Shannon Brown gets a nice boost in production with Hill out of the lineup.

Mon Apr 16 201221:11Grant Hill (knee) out on Monday vs. Blazers
Grant Hill (knee) will not play on Monday against the Blazers.
Josh Childress will join the rotation, but the fantasy winner is Shannon Brown, whose play see-sawed with Hill's presence over the past week. We don't want to summarily dismiss the fantasy prospects of Channing Frye and Jared Dudley, but Brown's presence as a heavy-minute guy certainly corresponded with substandard play from both players.

Mon Apr 16 201214:16Grant Hill's status for Monday is unclear
Grant Hill (knee) is calling himself a game-time decision for Monday's matchup with the Blazers.
Hill's knee predictably didn't respond well to playing in a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. If he does end up active Monday, he'll likely come off the bench for limited minutes behind Shannon Brown.

Sun Apr 15 201211:26Grant Hill dealing with some knee soreness
Grant Hill (knee) logged only eight minutes on Saturday because playing in a back-to-back was "not great."
I'll get a day of rest and hopefully be ready for Monday," Hill said. "I felt OK. It was such a big deficit that it was smart to save it." Expect Hill to be back in the swing of things on Monday, but this is a reminder that he's less than three weeks removed from his knee surgery.

Grant Hill will play again on Saturday, coming off the bench for the Suns.
He's coming off knee surgery but won't be on a minutes limit tonight, which will cut into the playing time of both Shannon Brown and Jared Dudley.

Sat Apr 14 201201:31Hill (knee) returns to action on Friday
Grant Hill (knee) returned to action on Friday, scoring four points on 2-of-7 shooting with six rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes off the bench.
Hill's return is likely going to do more to hurt Shannon Brown's value than it will for Hill, who should remain on waivers unless he can show us something real quick.

Fri Apr 13 201214:12Grant Hill (knee) to return Friday vs. HOU
Grant Hill (knee) has been cleared to play Friday night against the Rockets.
Hill was wearing a white jersey at Suns shootaround on Friday, which signifies he is running with the second unit and will come off the bench in his first game back since his minor knee surgery two weeks ago. It looks like Shannon Brown will turn back into a pumpkin for the last scoring period of the fantasy season, making him a very iffy start going foward.

Grant Hill (knee) remains on track to play Friday against the Rockets.
Hill completed a third day of "intensive" workouts and has had no setbacks as he looks to return just two weeks after his arthroscopic surgery. "I worked hard," Hill said. It remains unclear if Hill will resume his role in the starting lineup, but the Suns figure to ease in the 39-year-old veteran.

Grant Hill (knee) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Rockets.
Starting Tuesday, all medical restrictions on Hill have been lifted. However, it's unclear if the veteran will immediately regain his starting role. Tue Apr 10 201208:04Grant Hill (knee) could return by Monday
Grant Hill (knee) could return by Monday's game against the Blazers.
If Hill did return on Monday, it would be just 17 days after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. "I think I could be back really soon," Hill said. He's reported no swelling or discomfort in the area, so it's conceivable the veteran could be back sooner rather than later.

Sat Apr 7 201211:46Grant Hill on pace for mid-April return
Grant Hill ran on a treadmill on Friday for the first time since having arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
Hill also did some spot-shooting, and he seems on pace to return this season. The Suns are two games out of the playoff picture -- Shannon Brown and Michael Redd are playing admirably in Hill's absence, but the team can't wait to get their stalwart veteran back in the lineup.

Thu Apr 5 201214:31Grant Hill targeting the middle of the month
The Suns are hoping Grant Hill (knee surgery) can return to action in the middle of April.
Hill shot free-throws Wednesday for the first time since his surgery. He's doing treatment and rehab at least two times a day, proving he fully intends to return before the regular season is over. Still, Shannon Brown's role is safe for at least another week.

Grant Hill (knee) is already off crutches following Friday's surgery.
The swelling in Hill's knee is already down and he's confident he can return at some point before the regular season ends. He'll travel with the Suns so he can rehab under the watchful eyes of team trainers. Hill's original timetable was set at two weeks, with high-flying Shannon Brown filling in. Brown is averaging 18.4 points and 2.2 3-pointers in his five starts this season.

Fri Mar 30 201212:09Grant Hill undergoes successful knee surgery
Grant Hill (knee) underwent successful surgery on Friday and hopes to be back in two weeks.
Hill can hope he'll be back in two weeks, but it's hard to imagine him actually returning in such a short amount of time. Beat writer Paul Coro wrote that Hill was in danger of missing the remainder of the regular season. There is no reason to hold onto Hill in the majority of fantasy formats.

Fri Mar 30 201203:07Grant Hill to have surgery; season threatened
Grant Hill will undergo minor right knee surgery on Friday, putting the rest of his regular season at risk.
It's possible that the Suns decide to start Josh Childress in order to keep their bench rotation intact, but the fantasy add here is Shannon Brown. Brown isn't the most versatile player, but he'll score and hit threes and is worth owning in 12-team formats. From there, Markieff Morris could be in line for a bigger role and offers a more versatile game. Childress is only worth a look in deep formats, and comes with plenty of question marks.

Grant Hill (knee) was held out as a precaution Wednesday night.
Hill was very close to playing, but he was still feeling a little soreness and having trouble moving laterally. The Suns decided to take no chances. It sounds like Hill is a strong bet to start on Sunday, kicking Shannon Brown back to a bench role.

Wed Mar 28 201201:47Grant Hill (knee) hoping to play Wednesday
Grant Hill is hoping to play through his right knee inflammation on Wednesday at the Clippers.
He was a late scratch for Tuesday's game and Shannon Brown went nuts and dropped a career-high 32 points in Hill's absence, which could give Hill a little more determination to play on Wednesday. Consider him a game-time decision for now.
