Fri Mar 7 2014 | 01:55 | Jordan Farmar a mess in Lakers disaster |
Jordan Farmar hit just 1-of-5 shots (a 3-pointer) for four points and three assists in 21 minutes of Thursday's 142-94 loss to the Clippers. |
This was the biggest win in Clippers history and the biggest loss in Lakers history. Farmar's five-game week, along with his teammates', has quickly disintegrated, but we can only hope things change on Friday against the Nuggets. After such an embarrassing loss, the fact the Lakers have to get on a plane and go to Denver is not a good thing, so it's anyone's guess as to whether things get better tomorrow night or not. For now, just hold onto Farmar and hope for the best. |

Thu Mar 6 2014 | 11:23 | Jordan Farmar could start for Lakers Thursday |
Jordan Farmar (calf) may start against the Clippers Thursday night. |
Despite posting 10 or more assists in three of his past four games, Kendall has been outplayed by Farmar as of late and could cede his starting spot to him Thursday night. "He could start. We'll talk about it," D'Antoni said of Farmar. "I like him playing 25-30 minutes whether he starts or not. Then whoever plays well will finish the game." Neither player should see much of a change to their recent stats, but Farmar owners certainly can't complain about this news. |

Wed Mar 5 2014 | 01:52 | Jordan Farmar starts second half, scores 20 |
Jordan Farmar started the second half of Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, finishing with 20 points, one board, eight assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes. |
Coach Mike D'Antoni said after the game that he will consider starting Farmar over Kendall Marshall for Thursday's game against the Clippers. Marshall has been beaten badly on defense all season, so perhaps it's a matchup-based decision against Chris Paul. Regardless, Farmar has done enough in his past four games to be picked up in all standard formats. |

Tue Mar 4 2014 | 00:38 | Farmar logs 22 minutes after breakout game |
Jordan Farmar logged just 22 minutes after Friday's breakout game, scoring nine points on 4-of-9 shooting with zero rebounds, six assists, two steals and a three. |
We were concerned about Farmar and Kendall Marshall (seven points, six boards, 11 assists, 25 minutes) sharing minutes out of just one point guard bucket and it happened again tonight. This means that Farmar is going to have a hard time eclipsing late round value without that changing and that's what we saw tonight. And as we said on Friday, look for a regression on his 3-point looks. He hit 1-of-3 from deep tonight after draining 19-of-32 before that. |

Sat Mar 1 2014 | 01:13 | Farmar scores career-high 30 pts w/ eight 3s |
Jordan Farmar hit a career-high eight 3-points and also set a career-mark in scoring with 30 points, seven assists and a steal in the Lakers' win over the Kings on Friday. |
Farmar has hit 19 of his last 32 shots from deep and there will likely be a nasty regression there, and he also shared a bucket of minutes with Kendall Marshall (19 min) tonight -- a pattern that has been in a place prior to tonight. Farmar needs to play about 25 mpg to hold late round value for owners and one way or another he'll be picked up after this effort. Owners may want to hedge their bets and assign him a early-late round ceiling to accommodate for Marshall's presence, but Farmar has the look of a guy that can get those minutes. |

Sat Mar 1 2014 | 00:38 | In progress: Farmar scorching hot with 30 pts |
Jordan Farmar has hit 8-of-9 threes and 30 points midway through the fourth quarter of Friday's game against the Kings. |
Farmar has hit 19 of his last 31 attempts from deep and the regression from that might be something nasty but it would be crazy if he hasn't earned a significant role moving forward. In a first-come, first-serve league you'll need to move fast to see if he can take on a major role for this Lakers squad going forward. |

Thu Feb 27 2014 | 00:42 | Jordan Farmar hits four 3-pointers |
Jordan Farmar scored 16 points vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday with one board, three assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers. |
He hit a couple late threes to make this line look a little better than it really was, but this is the type of upside Farmar was showing before his injury. It probably makes sense to swap out Kendall Marshall for Farmar right now. |

Tue Feb 25 2014 | 22:54 | Jordan Farmar quiet in 21 minutes off bench |
Jordan Farmar came off the bench for five points, seven assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 2-of-7 shooting in 21 minutes on Tuesday. |
He's essentially in a timeshare with Kendall Marshall right now, which is bad news for both of them. But if Farmar ends up starting over Marshall, things could easily shift in his favor quickly. Hold onto Farmar if you can. |

Mon Feb 24 2014 | 00:52 | Jordan Farmar scores just three points |
Jordan Farmar scored three points with one rebound, four assists two steals ad one 3-pointer in 25 minutes vs. the Nets on Sunday. |
He's starting off slow since his return from his calf and hamstring injuries, averaging 6.7 points, 4.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.0 triples in 23.3 minutes in his last three. The 2.0 treys do jump out there, but fantasy owners can probably leave him on the wire for now with the injury concerns and low demand for his services. |

Sat Feb 22 2014 | 10:11 | Jordan Farmar gets 25 minutes |
Jordan Farmar played 25 minutes against the Celtics on Friday with eight points, three boards, four assists and two 3-pointers. |
The Lakers second unit was phenomenal tonight and Farmar put up decent numbers considering he didn't have the ball too much. He is usually very active with the rock in his time with the Lakers and has turned in some nice per-minute averages. Kendall Marshall seems entrenched as the starter, but it's not too wild to think Farmar can score in the low double-digit points with enough treys, steals and assists to be relevant in standard leagues. |

Thu Feb 20 2014 | 02:39 | Jordan Farmar returns, plays 20 minutes |
Jordan Farmar returned from calf and hamstring injuries on Wednesday during an ugly 134-108 loss to the Rockets, playing 20 minutes for nine points, three boards, four assists and three 3-pointers. |
He was on a minutes cap tonight and the Lakers actually held him in check. They admitted they played him too many minutes in his return from a hamstring injury earlier this month and learned their lesson this time around. Farmar has been a per-minute dynamo in fantasy leagues for his production in points, steals, treys and dimes, so he's worth a look for owners in standard leagues. |

Wed Feb 19 2014 | 20:56 | Jordan Farmar to play limited minutes Wed. |
Jordan Farmar (hamstring) is expected to play limited minutes off the bench for the Lakers on Wednesday night. |
Kendall Marshall, Jodie Meeks, Wes Johnson, Ryan Kelly and Chris Kaman will start, meaning Steve Blaker will come off the bench with Farmar tonight. |

Wed Feb 19 2014 | 15:52 | Jordan Farmar is a game-time decision |
Jordan Farmar (calf) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. |
He is a little closer to doubtful for this game due to calf and hamstring issues. Farmar has really battled through injuries in the past few months, so the Lakers are likely handling him with some extra care. Originally, he was not expected to miss time when his calf injury occurred on Feb. 5 and the team also admitted they played him too many minutes off the bat. Kendall Marshall and Steve Blake should be busy tonight. |

Tue Feb 18 2014 | 17:28 | Jordan Farmar doubtful w/ calf, hamstring |
Jordan Farmar is doubtful for Wednesday's game due to lingering calf and hamstring injuries. |
Farmar aggravated his hamstring soon after returning in early February, so it makes sense for L.A. to rest him until the injury is completely behind him. Assuming he doesn't play vs. Houston, Steve Blake, Kendall Marshall and possibly Steve Nash (nerves) will each see a few extra minutes at PG. |

Mon Feb 10 2014 | 16:28 | Jordan Farmar to be re-evaluated after break |
Jordan Farmar (calf, hamstring) will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break. |
His hamstring injury seems to be the bigger consider while his calf injury is more about cramps suffered on Wednesday. Farmar was outstanding on Wednesday and has been a stat-stuffing machine in his limited playing time, so it's not a bad idea to stash him. Worst case, it makes sense to pick him up on Thursday and stash him through the break while there are no games being played. Kendall Marshall should be the main man in the second unit. |

Sun Feb 9 2014 | 14:00 | Jordan Farmar (hamstring) unlikely Sunday |
Jordan Farmar (hamstring, calf) is very unlikely to suit up for Sunday's game vs. Chicago. |
The starting lineup has been released and does not feature Farmar. Farmar has been dealing with his hamstring injury for most of the season and Mike D'Antoni was quoted saying he expects Farmar, Jodie Meeks, and Xavier Henry to be out of the lineup until after the All Star break. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 16:21 | Jordan Farmar (hamstring) doubtful Sunday |
Jordan Farmar (hamstring, calf) is day-to-day but he's doubtful to play on Sunday and Mike D'Antoni said he may not return until after the All-Star break. |
Farmar's hamstring has been a concern for most of the season and it makes sense for L.A. to play it safe, especially with Steve Nash playing well and guys like Steve Blake and Kendall Marshall available to pick up the slack. Farmar played well before his most recent injury and he's an interesting guy to keep on your bench if you can afford a few more DNPs. |

Sat Feb 8 2014 | 00:31 | Jordan Farmar unlikely to play on Sunday |
Jordan Farmar (hamstring, calf) will be re-evaluated on Saturday and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bulls. |
It sounds like he's a little closer to doubtful, according to sideline reporter Mike Trudell. Farmar and coach Mike D'Antoni both admitted the guard had played too many minutes on Wednesday, so it might cost him another game. He has really excelled while he's been on the court and it's not too bad of an idea to stash him for those who can afford it. |

Fri Feb 7 2014 | 18:08 | Jordan Farmar says he's still a little sore |
Jordan Farmar (calf) said on Friday he played a few too many minutes against the Cavs on Wednesday. |
In case you missed it, he will not play tonight. Farmar said his hamstring is still a bit tight from playing some much in his first game back. He will continue working out and the team will re-evaluate him in the next few days. The point guard should be considered questionable on Sunday vs. the Bulls and is worth stashing after his tremendous return to the lineup on Wednesday. |

Fri Feb 7 2014 | 11:45 | Farmer out, Nash in, Blake a game-time call |
Jordan Farmar (legs) will not play in Friday's game against the Sixers. |
Farmar has been battling calf and hamstring issues for much of the season. Coach Mike D'Antoni said he'll rest those legs Friday -- even though the Lakers are absolutely desperate for healthy bodies. Steve Nash will play, although we can't expect anything more than 24-28 minutes. Steve Blake (thigh bruise) is a game-time call. Owners need to monitor this situation leading up to tip as anyone getting 30+ minutes against the Sixers is worth a spot-start. |
