Sat Dec 8 201213:48Joel Freeland's eye OK after practice poke
Tests on Joel Freeland's eye were negative and Terry Stotts said he didn't think it was serious.
It appears Freeland will be good to go Saturday night against the Kings, but he is averaging just over 10 minutes in 11 appearances this season. He has no fantasy value as presently constituted and you should look elsewhere.

Fri Dec 7 201216:23Joel Freeland struck in eye at practice
Joel Freeland got hit in the eye by teammate Nolan Smith at practice Friday and was sent to an ophthalmologist.
Freeland's status for Saturday night's game against the Jazz is uncertain. Originally thought of as a potential dark horse candidate at center for fantasy owners, Freeland has struggled to live up to those expectations. He shouldn't be on your roster and we're labeling him as day-to-day for now.

Wed Nov 28 201209:03Joel Freeland frustrated by his development
Joel Freeland admitted to being frustrated by his development this season.
Freeland has gone from dark horse starting center candidate to an afterthought for the Blazers. "It's been slow," he said. "And to be honest, I've been frustrated with myself," he added. "I kind of expected to continue what I was doing in Spain." Freeland hasn't eclipsed 16.5 minutes in any contest this season and has appeared in just seven games.

Tue Oct 16 201202:05Freeland starts in enforcer role vs. Kings
Joel Freeland started for the Blazers on Monday against the Kings, scoring two points with four rebounds in 13 minutes.
Freeland was a surprise starter over Meyers Leonard, and maybe the Blazers didn't want DeMarcus Cousins sending the emotional rookie over a cliff early in the season. Like oil and water, Freeland wasted no time solidifying his rep as an enforcer, frequently making contact and getting into it with Cousins. Despite his moxie, he has no fantasy value buried on the depth chart.
