Fri Mar 16 201212:47Rockets surprisingly waive Terrence Williams
Rockets waived G/F Terrence Williams.
This one came out of nowhere. Williams, the 11th overall pick from the 2009 draft, has been buried in Houston's rotation for the majority of the season and has played in just two games since March began. He was averaging just 4.5 points per game this season, and two teams have now given up on the 24-year-old. He'll likely get another shot elsewhere.

Sun Mar 11 201216:48T-Will out on Sunday
Terrance Williams will not play on Sunday due to a stomach problem.
The timing of this is interesting, especially after Williams spoke out recently about his lack of playing time. He's buried on the depth chart and not worth a look in fantasy leagues.

Sun Mar 11 201213:37Terrence Williams not w/ Rockets on Sat.?
Terrence Williams says he's still baffled by his lack of playing time for the Rockets, and he apparently wasn't even on the bench during Saturday's game.
"That's a mystery," T-Will said about his lack of playing time. "It went from playing to the next day not, so it's still a mystery." Kevin McHale said the team is simply overloaded with wing players, as the rotation already includes Kevin Martin, Chandler Parsons, Chase Budinger and Courtney Lee.

Tue Mar 6 201216:20Terrence Williams misses practice
Terrence Williams missed Monday's practice for an undisclosed reason.
It sounds like Williams may have simply overslept. When coach Kevin McHale was asked if the underutilized swingman will play Tuesday against the Celtics, he paused and said, "To be announced." Williams has appeared in just 11 games all season, but did log 14 minutes on Sunday.

Wed Jan 25 201216:33HOU won't pick up Terrence Williams option
The Rockets are not planning to exercise the fourth-year contract option on Terrence Williams.
Despite a new coaching regime in Houston, not much has changed for Williams, who hasn't been able to translate his considerable ability into consistent NBA playing time. He'll enter the summer as a restricted free agent.

Thu Jan 12 201208:17Terrence Williams not happy with benching
Terrence Williams has expressed frustration about his recent fall out of the rotation.
"I worry about what I can control," he said. "I've been great. I don't know what's going on." Kevin McHale said he plans to talk with Williams about it, but it's easy to understand Williams' frustration. He's picked up a DNP-Coach's Decision in each of his last two games and is best left on waiver wires.

Thu Jan 5 201201:54Terrence Williams plays 28 minutes Wednesday
As expected, Terrence Williams saw 28 minutes of action on Wednesday with Courtney Lee sidelined with a calf injury.
Despite the minutes, Williams struggled to hit just 3-of-10 shots for eight points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer. The talent is there, but he can't seem to find a way to put it to use when given opportunities. Lee is day-to-day and Williams will most likely go back to obscurity once Lee is back. Just keep an eye on him, in case he wins the favor of coach Kevin McHale.

Wed Jan 4 201201:43Terrence Williams could see a boost
Terrence Williams had just two points in 12 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers, but could be in line for a minutes boost after Courtney Lee left the game with a calf injury.
Lee had to be carried off the court and while Williams didn't do much tonight, he could replace Lee as Kevin Martin's backup if Lee will miss a lot of time with the injury. Williams is only worth grabbing in deeper leagues for now, but should be watched closely in all of them.

Tue Jan 3 201216:12Terrence Williams was a DNP-CD on
Terrence Williams took a DNP-CD in Saturday's win over the Hawks.
Williams was not injured. Instead, coach Kevin McHale shortened his rotation to eight men and left Williams out in the cold. With Chase Budinger starting to find his shot, there's not much reason for owners to hang on to T-Will.

Fri Dec 30 201123:03T-Willie does what T-Willie does on Friday
Terrence Williams did what Terrence Williams does on Friday, scoring no points with three rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes off the bench.
Just as he started to show that he was making a move on Chase Budinger (11 points), it didn't happen. It's what happens to players on the bench, though, and we'd be remiss if we use any one game to measure him at this time. For now, the SF position in Houston is one to be avoided but if/when one of the two players breaks out owners should be ready.

Fri Dec 30 201100:38Terrence Williams playing good minutes
Terrence Williams led the bench in minutes played with 22 on Thursday, and scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and one assist.
This game was ugly and slow during an entire second half's worth of garbage time, so we're not going to hold the low totals against Williams. The good news is that starter Chase Budinger is struggling, and Williams has been more productive coming off the bench. With triple-double potential under the right circumstance and plenty of risk, owners should watch T-Willie very closely over the next few days. If you're feeling lucky, we won't hold an add against you here.

Mon Dec 26 201122:42Terrence Williams plays well off the bench
Terrence Williams scored 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with six rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench on Monday.
We've been through the hype with Williams, and he has disappointed us thus far, but that doesn't mean that under a new coach and situation that he can't finally break out. Owners should look to add Williams as a near must-add player, but realize that beyond the upside is the chance that the knucklehead factor kicks in and he flames out.

Sat Dec 17 201122:57Terrence Williams solid off Houston's bench
Terrence Williams had 14 points, nine rebounds, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 26 minutes off Houston's bench on Saturday.
T-Will showed his versatility and promise, but also had a few very questionable decisions, lacks true 3-point range, and was 0-of-2 from the FT line. Houston's current roster isn't exactly brimming with talent, so keep a close eye on his role as the season gets underway.

Fri Mar 25 201116:30T-Will out w/ post-op issues
Terrence Williams is still experiencing post-operative issues following his abdominal surgery, and there is no timetable for his return.
He was only expected to miss a few days after surgery on the 15th, so hopefully this isn't a serious complication.

Sun Feb 27 201100:35Terrence Williams struggles in win
Terrence Williams played just 11 minutes and hit 2-of-7 shots for four points, two rebounds and two assists in Saturday's win.
He's going to get more run going forward as Chase Budinger's backup, but as long as Budinger is healthy, T-Will is likely going to struggle. Just keep an eye on him.
Tue Feb 22 201110:58Terrence Williams wants to play
Terrence Williams said he hopes to be somewhere he will get minutes by the end of the week.
For whatever reason, the mega-talented Williams couldn't crack the rotation in New Jersey or Houston. There's obviously more than meets the eye going on behind the scenes here. Even if Shane Battier is traded, it's unlikely Williams will be get a significant role.
