Tue Feb 1 201111:19Williams nowhere near Rockets' rotation
Coach Rick Adelman said that he would shorten his rotation rather than give Terrence Williams minutes.
The issue came up because Courtney Lee (flu) is questionable for tonight's game against the Lakers. Williams couldn't get any minutes in New Jersey and now can't get off the bench for the Rockets. Perhaps there is more than meets the eye here, because Williams' talent is glaring.

Fri Jan 7 201123:21T-Will quietly making strides in Houston
Terrence Williams played 22 minutes and had 11 points and a 3-pointer on 4-of-11 shooting Friday.
He's slowly making progress and earning more playing time from Rick Adelman, but unless he cracks the starting lineup, he's going to be a tough player to own in fantasy. Just keep an eye on him.
Tue Jan 4 201101:55T-Willie back to DNPs after debut on Sunday
Terrence Williams made his Rockets debut on Sunday with four points in eight minutes, but found himself with another DNP-CD in Monday's game against the Nuggets.
It's a small step backward but an important one. Owners who have been stashing him have waited this long under the assumption that this time off was a function of him getting to know the system. The one step forward, one step back routine isn't going to work here. It's time to drop him if you haven't already.
Sun Jan 2 201123:36T-Will makes Rockets debut on Sunday
Terrence Williams made his Rockets debut on Sunday, scoring four points in eight minutes.
T-Will checked in with the game out of reach and still has a long way to go before he'll offer reliable fantasy value.
Tue Dec 28 201009:45Williams still outside Rockets' rotation
Coach Rick Adelman said that he will use this week's practices to see where Terrence Williams might fit in his rotation.
Williams has been with the team for five games, been a healthy scratch in all five and the Rockets are 5-0 over that stretch. In other words, there's no rush to get T-Will into the mix. Adelman admitted that he is having enough problems getting Aaron Brooks (ankle) back in the rotation without thinking about Williams. Only deep leaguers can afford to stash the talented ex-Net at this point.

Wed Dec 22 201009:45T-Will yet to play for Rockets
Terrence Williams has yet to make his Rockets debut.
Williams has recorded three straight DNP-CDs since the Rockets acquired him from the Nets. The Rockets have won all three of those games. After tonight's game against the Clippers, the team has four full days off. Coach Rick Adelman will likely use that time to get T-Will up to speed, but there's no guarantee of a major role here. Williams is going to be eased in very slowly.
Sun Dec 19 201020:49T-Will gets another DNP-CD on Sunday
Terrence Williams picked up another DNP-CD for the Rockets on Sunday.
Head coach Rick Adelman is apparently still deciding how to deploy T-Will, leaving fantasy owners in limbo. He's facing stiff competition for minutes behind Kevin Martin and Shane Battier, and remains an extremely promising player with an uncertain short-term outlook.
Fri Dec 17 201021:08Terrence Williams on inactive list
Terrence Williams is on the inactive list for the Rockets on Friday.
Rick Adelman wants him to practice with the team as they figure out what his role will be. While we still think T-Will will eventually play well in Houston, it could be a minute. If you want to drop him for a hot player like Spencer Hawes, feel free.

Thu Dec 16 201009:17Adelman admits T-Will will have to battle
Coach Rick Adelman admitted that he is going to take it slow with newly acquired Terrence Williams.
Williams is not going to start over Shane Battier and will be battling Chase Budinger for burn off the bench. "Right now, there's not obvious minutes," Adelman said. "We're going to have to wait and see how all that works out." Still, the Rockets didn't give up those picks for nothing. Eventually, Williams will be a significant part of the rotation.

Wed Dec 15 201011:46It's official: Nets trade T-Will to Rockets
Rockets acquired G/F Terrence Williams in exchange for draft picks.
In terms of role, Williams is in a similar situation as he was in New Jersey -- he'll come off the bench behind Kevin Martin and Shane Battier. The difference in Houston is that he's on a team with a coach that actually wants him and one gave up significant considerations to get him. Now that he has been served a wakeup call, we expect his immense talent to shine through. Look for T-Will to eventually settle into a 22-28 minute a night role, making the swingman well worth a speculative add in most formats.
Tue Dec 14 201018:16T-Will headed to Rockets in three-team trade
Terrence Williams is reportedly being dealt from the Nets to the Rockets in a three-team deal that also involves the Lakers.
New Jersey will get Sasha Vujacic and a 2011 first-round pick from L.A., as well asnd a 2012 first-round pick from the Rockets, while the Lakers get veteran Joe Smith (and rid themselves of Vujacic). Smith can't officially be dealt until the 15th so the deal isn't likely to be official until Wednesday, and more elements could surface. T-Will gives Houston some much-needed firepower and will at least have more regular minutes than he had in NJ -- scoop him up if he's still available.

Tue Dec 14 201017:50T-Will told to stay home -- trade imminent?
Terrence Williams has been de-activated by the Nets and told not to report to the Prudential Center on Tuesday, possibly indicating that a trade is imminent.
This is the first we've heard of any trades involving T-Will, though it's not at all surprising since he's been in conflict with coach Avery Johnson all year. Stay tuned for the latest -- and if you have a likely roster spot, go ahead and add him just in case.

Sun Dec 12 201015:54Terrence Williams plays 21 minutes on Sunday
Terrence Williams played 21 minutes off the bench and had seven points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal on 3-of-7 shooting in Sunday's loss.
With Damion Jones getting ready for foot surgery, Williams is going to see an increase in minutes going forward. Or, at least he should. If he ever gets into the starting lineup, he's a must-start player, but for now, owning him and keeping a close eye on him on your bench are the way to go. Former starter Travis Outlaw played just five minutes and can be dropped from fantasy teams.
Fri Dec 10 201011:32Terrence Williams scores six points for Nets
Terrence Williams played 26 minutes and had six points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals in Thursday's loss to Dallas.
Baby steps. At least he got into the game and played solid minutes after a stint in the D-League. If Avery Johnson and his ego turn Williams loose he could go on a tear, but that's a big 'if.' If you like gambling, T-Will is a fun prospect to pick up right now, but know that his fate rests solely in the hands of the Little General.
Wed Dec 8 201015:40T-Will confident at Nets practice Wednesday
Terrence Williams declared at Nets practice on Wednesday that "I got my game back."
Averaging 28.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 10.7 assists in three D-League games clearly helped Williams rediscover his confidence. No official word yet on whether or not he'll be active for Thursday's game against Dallas, but it's a possibility. And given the lack of high-upside options on the waiver wire in many leagues, T-Will is certainly worth a look in most formats.

Tue Dec 7 201011:56Nets recall Terrence Williams from D-League
Nets recalled Terrence Williams from the Springfield Armor of the NBADL.
Williams will meet the Nets in Dallas on Wednesday and could play as soon as Friday. His stint in the minors was almost laughable as he averaged 28.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 10.7 assists in three games. There are no guarantees of playing time under Avery Johnson, but if Williams can get to practices and meetings on time, he should eventually be the team's sixth man. Add the versatile talent in all formats while he builds trust. We suspect the demotion will be the wakeup call T-Will needed.

Tue Dec 7 201009:25Williams coming back to Nets soon?
Nets GM Billy King did not rule out the possibility of Terrence Williams returning to the major league club for Thursday's game in Dallas.
Since Williams has been sent to the Springfield Armor of the D-League, he has two games with 30-plus points and two triple-doubles. It's not really fair to Williams or the D-League to have a player of his caliber down there. King said he plans on speaking to coach Avery Johnson about the situation Tuesday. There is no guarantee of minutes once T-Will returns, but he's worth a stash now if you have room.

Mon Dec 6 201000:17T-Will still destroying in the D-League
Terrence Williams scored 36 points in another D-League game on Sunday, adding five 3-pointers, nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block.
This is starting to get ridiculous, as T-Will is clearly playing at a different level than most of his D-League counterparts. He posted two straight triple-doubles before this eruption, and Avery Johnson might (emphasis on might) be forced to recall him very soon.
Fri Dec 3 201012:58T-Will triple-doubles in D-League debut
Terrence Williams triple-doubled in his D-League debut on Thursday, posting 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists.
This is salt in the wound of T-Will's fantasy owners, as his versatility has never been in doubt. He is a clear star in the D-League and our only hope is that stellar play like this will force Avery Johnson to recall him -- and actually use him.

Thu Dec 2 201010:46Williams staying in D-League
Terrence Williams will not be recalled from the NBADL despite Devin Harris' knee injury.
It's a sign that Harris' knee injury is clearly not serious and also tells us that Avery Johnson plans to stick with his punishment for Williams. Most fantasy owners can't afford to carry Williams while we wait.
