Sun Dec 5 201000:32MiIller scores 20 points, hits four threes
Brad Miller hit a number of big shots on his way to 20 points on Saturday, going 6-of-13 from the field (4-of-9 from downtown) with no rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in 24 minutes off the bench.
Unfortunately, he also missed a free throw that allowed Derrick Rose to tie the game on a three late, and also couldn't convert the game-tying three in overtime, either. That said, it was still a nice game even if the big guy couldn't get a rebound.
Tue Nov 30 201000:42Miller posts versatile line off the bench
Brad Miller posted a versatile line off the bench on Monday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks in 24 minutes.
He loses time every now and again due to matchups, and gets dinged up pretty easily, but his per-minute stats when healthy are nice. At least until Yao Ming returns, he is worth a look if you need help at center.
Thu Nov 25 201012:05Miller limited due to matchups?
Coach Rick Adelman hinted that the Warriors' unconventional style led to Brad Miller's three minutes Wednesday night.
The more athletic Chuck Hayes got the start and then the Rockets went small to match up with the Warriors. Even though Miller will play more most nights, his declining skills and Yao's eventual return make him an uninspiring fantasy play.

Fri Nov 19 201020:38Brad Miller likely getting stitches in head
Brad Miller took a DeMar Derozan elbow above the right eye and has left the game.
The blow opened a gash and we're guessing he's getting it stitched up and will return to the game.

Wed Nov 17 201001:28Brad Miller scores 21 in 39 minutes Tuesday
Brad Miller, who was invisible early in the season, had 21 points, five rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's loss.
He is averaging 17 points, five boards and more than a three over his last three games, and when you add in the fact that the Rockets are unsure of when Yao Ming will play again, Miller makes sense for a pick up. He won't block many shots and may be inconsistent, but as long as he's healthy, he should be in line for the most minutes at center of all of the Rockets big men going forward.
Sun Nov 14 201022:20Brad Miller quiet in Sunday's victory
Rockets veteran Brad Miller started again at center on Sunday, but had just eight points and there rebounds in 13 minutes.
Miller posted a huge line in Houston's last game, and typically he'll produce numbers in between these two extremes. He should be a worthwhile fantasy center with Yao Ming injured, but prepare yourself for the occasional dud.
Fri Nov 12 201022:40Brad Miller torches ex-team for 23 & 8
Brad Miller started in place of injured Yao Ming and had 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and a steal on 9-of-16 shooting Friday to beat the Pacers.
He torched his former team and these were the type of lines we were expecting to see out of the gate. He got off to a terrible start, but may be locked and loaded going forward. He also hit 3-of-3 3-pointers tonight and if you want to pick him up, you might want to do it sooner than later.
Fri Nov 12 201019:12Brad Miller starts for Rockets
Brad Miller started for the Rockets against the Pacers on Friday.
Miller is a super-sleeper right now with Yao Ming out with a leg injury. Add in the fact that Miller's facing his former team and he could have a nice game tonight.
Wed Nov 10 201022:25Miller, Hill both struggle in Yao's absence
Brad Miller played 13 minutes and had seven points and three rebounds Wednesday after Yao Ming left with a leg injury.
Jordan Hill played just nine minutes for four points and three rebounds, making both of them tough guys to grab in lieu of an injured Yao. DeAndre Jordan or Amire Johnson appear to be safer bets.
Wed Nov 10 201020:36Brad Miller starts second half for Yao Ming
Brad Miller started the second half in place of Yao Ming, who will not return with a tendon injury in his left leg.
Miller, and especially Jordan Hill, should be watched closely going forward, as both players will see heavy minutes if Yao's injury is a big one.
Sun Nov 7 201000:37Miller (ankle) still getting limited minutes
Brad Miller (ankle) played 18 minutes on Saturday, scoring eight points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal with Yao Ming (foot) out.
He hasn't taken advantage of the playing time opportunities opposite Yao this year, and while we'd like to think he can get it together, it may not be in the cards for the aging Miller. He's not worth owning until he shows he can play 25-plus minutes per game.
Thu Nov 4 201019:03Brad Miller's ankle is an issue
Coach Rick Adelman cited Brad Miller's troublesome ankle as the reason he used Jordan Hill on Wednesday.
Adelman said that Hill is going to keep getting playing time, which leads us to believe that Miller's ankle issue could be chronic. Go ahead and drop Miller, his playing time is too sporadic. Hill is now worth monitoring in games that we know Yao won't play.

Thu Nov 4 201001:36Brad Miller gets a DNP-CD, Hill emerges
Brad Miller didn't play Wednesday, reportedly due to a coach's decision.
We're not sure what's going on with Miller, who also played just three minutes a week ago. With Yao Ming on a strict minute limit, we really thought Miller would have some value. Maybe he's injured, or maybe he just isn't good enough for play for the Rockets. But Jordan Hill was the first big off the bench tonight, finishing with four points, nine rebounds, a steal and three blocks. If you're in a very deep league, this is your sign to start keeping an eye on Hill.
Tue Oct 19 201011:55Miller back for Rockets
Brad Miller (ankle) saw his first action of the preseason Sunday.
Miller had 11 points in 26 minutes during a win over the Nets. That's about what we would expect on a nightly basis out of the veteran big man. Note that he will get heavy minutes on the nights that Yao Ming rests, but those will be tough to predict.

Fri Oct 15 201003:29Miller (ankle) hopes to play Saturday
Brad Miller (ankle) hopes to play in Saturday's game against the Nets as the Rockets continue their China road trip.
"We'll see how it does," Miller said. "I'm not going to play a lot of minutes - that's for sure." He looks on track to be healthy for the season opener, and though he's behind Yao Ming who will be limited to 24 minutes per game, he could have some value in deeper leagues.

Tue Oct 12 201012:48Miller expects to play in preseason finale
Brad Miller (ankle) expects to play in the final two preseason games.
Barring a setback, Miller is on track to be ready for the season. He'll be a weak fantasy option while splitting time with Yao Ming.

Thu Oct 7 201010:49Brad Miller hoping to play next week
Brad Miller, recovering from a severely sprained ankle, hopes to be ready to play when the Rockets travel to China next week.
There's still no guarantee he'll be ready to go by next week, but there is a chance. And given Yao Ming's minutes limit and early struggles, they're going to need Miller this year.

Thu Sep 30 201020:51Brad Miller still out with sprained ankle
Brad Miller remains sidelined for the Rockets in training camp after suffering a severely sprained ankle a week ago.
He's still experiencing some swelling in his left ankle, so no return date has been set. But you have to think he'll be ready for the start of the season.

Thu Sep 23 201021:45Brad Miller to miss a couple weeks with ankle
Brad Miller suffered a sprained left ankle in practice on Thursday.
It was fairly severe, as he's expected to miss at least 10 days to two weeks. However, he should have plenty of time to get healthy for the regular season, where he's going to see a heavy role backing up (or possibly starting in front of) a fragile Yao Ming.

Wed Jul 21 201009:59Brad Miller officially signs w/ Rockets
Brad Miller officially signed with the Rockets on Tuesday.
He'll play back up center to Yao Ming, which could mean he starts in 60 or so games this season. There are conflicting reports on just how healthy Yao will be to start the season, but the odds say there's a good chance he won't finish the season in one piece either way. Miller is worth a late-round flier in most leagues.
