Sun Dec 30 201209:38Kyle Singler admits to lack of energy
Kyle Singler admitted on Saturday that he hasn't been playing with sufficient energy, but he felt better after posting 12 points and five rebounds vs. Miami on Friday.
Singler's numbers vs. the Heat aren't impressive, but he made plays when it mattered and sparked an improbable comeback win for Detroit. He was solid for much of November, when he made 50 percent of his FGs and shot 42 percent from downtown, but he's collapsed in December with just 7.6 points on 36 percent shooting, including 28 percent from downtown. He's still playing 30 minutes per game so we'll keep an eye on him.

Sat Dec 29 201201:50Singler scores 12 points against Miami
Kyle Singler scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 31 minutes on Friday.
Singler got some extra run and touches with Rodney Stuckey out and built on the style of line we've been accustomed to seeing from him. Unfortunately that style of line needs nights like these in order to be helpful, and we're not getting that out of Singler these days.

Sat Dec 22 201221:52Kyle Singler shoots 1-of-6 as slump continues
Pistons rookie Kyle Singler played under 30 minutes on Saturday, shooting 1-of-6 from the field to finish with two points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Singler was a stealthy fantasy option in November, but he's bottoming out at 37.3 percent from the field in December. The minutes are still there, but he can't be used in standard leagues until his shots start falling.

Mon Dec 17 201222:24Singler plays 39 minutes without Stuckey
Kyle Singler played 39 minutes against the Clippers on Monday and had 11 points, three rebounds and one 3-pointer.
It was his first game in double figures in his last eight games. Rodney Stuckey (back) didn't play, so Singler basically squandered an opportunity here with the heavy dose of minutes. Stuckey doesn't figure to be out too long, which means Singler belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Sat Dec 15 201200:27Singler scores eight points in 32 minutes
Kyle Singler shot 4-of-12 from the field for eight points with eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes against the Nets on Friday.
Friday marked the sixth game in a row in which he couldn't hit double-digit scoring and he's only made two 3-pointers in that span. Rodney Stuckey revitalizing his value has hurt Singler and we'd leave the Duke product on the wire in some standard formats.

Mon Dec 10 201222:07Singler plays 29 minutes, scores just five
Kyle Singler played 29 minutes and had just five points, two rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer against the Sixers on Monday.
Singler's value has really bottomed out lately with just 4.8 points per game in his last four contests. It's certainly not a coincidence that Rodney Stuckey is playing better, so the rookie's arrow is beginning to point down.

Sun Dec 9 201201:16Kyle Singler quiet in 35 minutes on Saturday
Kyle Singler logged 35 minutes in another start at SG vs. the Cavs, but he scored only nine points with two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Singler is challenging for the league lead in 'vanilla minutes,' where heavy playing time equals bland stats, but he's doing just enough for late-round value in eight- and nine-cat leagues. Give him a look if you need to fill out the end of your roster.

Sat Dec 8 201200:36Singler scores two points with three boards
Kyle Singler continued to struggle on Friday against the Bulls, scoring two points on 1-of-6 shooting with three rebounds in 24 minutes.
Singler had a couple of quick fouls and had no rhythm tonight, and for a guy who looked like a picture of consistency he has suddenly fallen off a cliff. It would be surprising for that type of player to lose his mojo like that, but then again we're not looking at a massive body of work for the rookie. And with Rodney Stuckey (24 points, seven assists) surging, owners shouldn't feel like they can't drop Singler for a hot free agent.

Wed Dec 5 201223:35Kyle Singler cools off on Wednesday night
Kyle Singler scored just three points and grabbed three rebounds in 32 minutes against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Singler was one of the hottest adds in fantasy hoops, but he played like a rookie tonight. If you took the plunge and added him, the appropriate move would likely be to cut him some slack for at least another game or two.

Mon Dec 3 201223:43Singler puts up another gem on Monday
Kyle Singler looked good in another start with 15 points, six rebounds, one block and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Cavs on Monday.
He lost his contact and went to the locker room, but quickly returned. You might be surprised to know that Singler put up second-round value last week in 8-cat leagues. He's making 1.8 treys per game and he should be owned in all leagues at this point.

Sun Dec 2 201200:40Kyle Singler has 12 points in an OK night
Kyle Singler had 12 points, four rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Mavericks on Saturday.
Singler has been cruising along with late-round value right now, but we're still waiting for him to have one of those lines that reverberates on a busy night. That said, he's still worth owning in most leagues.

Sat Dec 1 201201:03Singler scores nine points with six boards
Kyle Singler scored nine points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a whopping 39 minutes on Friday against the Grizzlies.
Singler is playing well enough to be started in all 8- and 9-cat formats right now, though he's not going to be a must-start player until he proves himself a little bit more. Don't let tonight's somewhat slow line fool you.

Wed Nov 28 201223:40Kyle Singler scores 12 in blowout win
Kyle Singler had 12 points, four boards and a 3-pointer on 5-of-12 shooting in 32 minutes of a blowout win over the Suns on Wednesday.
He's been a popular fantasy addition after his career night on Monday, but is still Kyle Singler. He'll have some good games as long as he's starting and is worth a flier, but his ceiling isn't all that high. He's simply not a must-start fantasy player, but should be owned in many leagues.

Mon Nov 26 201223:01Singler has career-night against the Blazers
Kyle Singler set or tied career-highs across the board in Monday's win over the Blazers, scoring 16 points with 10 rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 36 minutes.
Singler is enjoying life without a fully engaged Rodney Stuckey, but he is making the most of his minutes and it looks like he has secured a minimum 25-minute role. And if he keeps playing like this he could end up locked into starter's minutes. We've sat on the fence for long enough -- Singler should be owned in most 12-team formats.

Sun Nov 25 201216:01Kyle Singler goes for 16 points on Sunday
Kyle Singler matched his season high in scoring with 16 points, while adding three rebounds and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes on Sunday.
Singler was very efficient by shooting 5-of-7 from the field and also hitting 4-of-5 free throws. Rodney Stuckey injured his ankle towards the end of this game, so there could be more minutes for Singler. Owners in standard leagues can just keep an eye on him for now.

Mon Nov 19 201217:16Frank not sure if Singler will start for good
Lawrence Frank has yet to commit to Kyle Singler as a permanent starter.
Frank likely wants to reserve the right to return Rodney Stuckey to the starting five, but Singler is averaging 14.7 points as a starter, and the Pistons are 2-1 since the switch, so things are likely to stay the same in the near future. However, with modest averages of 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.3 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers as a starter, Singler's fantasy value looks to be limited to deeper formats. As for Stuckey, he had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists in 31 minutes on Sunday, a positive sign that he's starting to adjust to a bench role.

Sat Nov 17 201201:10Singler scores 14 points in starting role
Kyle Singler started at shooting guard in Friday's loss to the Magic, scoring 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 29 minutes.
Singler isn't a stat stuffer and he could give way to Rodney Stuckey and Corey Maggette at any time, but he could be worth a look if he can expand on this performance.

Fri Nov 16 201212:00Pistons change plan, to start Kyle Singler
Lawrence Frank says Kyle Singler will start over Rodney Stuckey at SG on Friday.
Frank said Stuckey suggested the Pistons go with Singler in a meeting with the coach. Stuckey has struggled shooting the ball this season while Singler was stellar in his first start. This definitely boosts Singler's fantasy value and he might be worth a speculative add at this point.

Wed Nov 14 201221:48Kyle Singler scores 16 in first start
Kyle Singler started for the Pistons on Wednesday and hit 7-of-14 shots and a 3-pointer for 16 points, four rebounds, one assist and a block
Singler was great tonight, but keep in mind that normal starter Rodney Stuckey was out with the flu tonight. Singler has played well all season and is the Pistons' sixth man, but keep in mind that Corey Maggette finally returned to action tonight, and could squash any potential fantasy value Singler has. Only consider him in very deep leagues for now.
