Jannero Pargo (abdominal) sat out of Saturday's practice.
Coach Randy Wittman said Pargo is "feeling better," reports Michael Lee. He needed an X-ray on Friday, so it appears there's nothing seriously wrong with him. Pargo may be a factor for minutes with John Wall (patella) possibly missing time.

Fri Oct 5 201212:05Jannero Pargo (ribs) to undergo x-rays Friday
Jannero Pargo (ribs) did not practice and will undergo X-rays on Friday.
Pargo said that he had a rib injury that was sustained while making a "routine pass," and the fact that he has to undergo X-rays is a sign that it could be a serious injury. If he has to miss a significant amount of time, A.J. Price and Shelvin Mack would battle it out for starting PG duties while John Wall (patella) is sidelined.

Thu Oct 4 201209:09Pargo, Price, Mack to compete for PG spot
Jannero Pargo, Shelvin Mack and A.J. Price will compete to start at PG while John Wall (patella) is out.
Mack is the only player that Randy Wittman had experience with prior to training camp starting, but it would be a surprise to see him get the nod as a starter for the regular season. Regardless of who winds up winning the battle, none are suitable replacements for Wall owners.

Wizards sign G Jannero Pargo.
It's a one-year contract. The team clearly felt compelled to bring in a veteran following John Wall's patella injury, and Pargo will provide them with experience in the backcourt.

Thu Sep 20 201213:03Jannero Pargo hopes to sign before camp
Jannero Pargo hopes to sign with a team before training camp begins.
Pargo is reportedly "in discussions" with a handful of teams, but that could be his agent simply stirring up a market for him. Mark Bartelstein, Pargo's agent, gave similar remarks back in July when free agency had just started.

Mon Jul 9 201214:21Jannero Pargo considers re-signing w/ Hawks
Free agent Jannero Pargo is still considering re-signing with the Hawks.
Pargo was close with Joe Johnson, so Atlanta's salary-dump trade couldn't have strengthened their case. His agent, Mark Bartelstein wrote in a text that he and Pargo are "talking to a number of teams ... Will know more in next few days."

Fri May 4 201222:40Pargo (back) plays in Game 3 vs. Celtics
Jannero Pargo (back) played in the Hawks' Game 3 loss on Friday, but did not score on four shot attempts and posted just one rebound, two assists, and a steal in 11 minutes.
With Josh Smith out, guys like Pargo and Willie Green (five points, 2-of-5 FGs) needed to step up with a sizable contribution and it just didn't happen tonight.

Sat Apr 28 201213:46Jannero Pargo (back) will be ready for Game 1
Jannero Pargo (back) returned to practice on Saturday and said that he'll be ready to play in Game 1 vs. the Celtics.
Pargo will have a role in the Hawks' rotation, but isn't likely to raise many eyebrows -- he averaged 5.6 points and 1.9 assists this season, logging 13 minutes per game. His return takes some pressure off Jeff Teague and Kirk Hinrich.

Thu Apr 26 201212:42Jannero Pargo doubtful with sore back
Jannero Pargo (back) is technically a game-time decision, but Larry Drew said he was doubtful to play on Thursday.
Pargo will need to get healthy in advance of game one against the Celtics, so we don't expect him to play in this one. Look for Kirk Hinrich to see an increase in minutes with Pargo sidelined.

Fri Apr 13 201223:41Pargo scores 17 points off the bench
Jannero Pargo hit five 3-point shots off the bench on Friday, scoring 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting overall with three rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 29 minutes.
Pargo benefited from a lopsided game against a reeling Magic squad, but since returning from an appendectomy he has produced decent value with 8.8 points, 1.8 threes, 3.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game with a 46.7 percent mark from the field. Give him a look if those numbers can work for you.

Wed Apr 4 201222:55Jannero Pargo returns for Hawks
Jannero Pargo returned from a 10-game absence (appendectomy) and had 12 points, six dimes and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes.
Jeff Teague has been run ragged by the Hawks and could use a break, and the return of Pargo should provide him with some relief, without limiting Teague in the process.

Tue Apr 3 201213:05Jannero Pargo set to return on Wednesday
Jannero Pargo (appendectomy) is listed as probable to play on Wednesday.
Pargo has been sidelined since March 18 after undergoing an appendectomy. He was averaging just 15 minutes per game in March, and with numbers of 7.6 points and 1.7 treys over that span, Pargo will need to do much more to be worthy of fantasy consideration in standard-sized leagues.

Mon Mar 26 201223:53Pargo says he will return in no time
Jannero Pargo (appendectomy) said that he would return "in no time" after leaving his doctor's office on Monday.
Pargo has put up some interesting lines coming off the bench, but predicting when they will come has been difficult. We're taking a wait-and-see approach with Pargo, whose upside isn't tremendous, anyway.

Jannero Pargo will miss at least one month after having appendix surgery on Sunday.
Pargo sat out with 'stomach flu', but fortunately he was taken the the Cleveland Clinic and properly diagnosed. He had been playing minutes at backup PG with Kirk Hinrich primarily at SG, so we'll keep an eye on the Hawks' backcourt this week.

Sun Mar 18 201215:25Jannero Pargo (flu) misses game Sunday
Jannero Pargo missed Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to a stomach flu.
Pargo was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for further testing, and it's unclear at this point whether or not he will be able to fly home with the team. Pargo is averaging 5.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game on the season.

Sat Mar 10 201207:01Pargo scores three points on Friday
Jannero Pargo scored just three points on 1-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and zero assists in 11 minutes off the bench on Friday.
With Joe Johnson (knee) back in the fold, Pargo has no real fantasy value despite the fact that he will likely post a usable fantasy line from time to time.

Tue Mar 6 201222:32Jannero Pargo scores 16 in Hawks win
Jannero Pargo came off the bench and hit four 3-pointers on his way to 16 points in 24 minutes for the Hawks on Tuesday.
There's no doubt Pargo can score if he gets minutes, and he got run tonight because Joe Johnson remains out with knee tendinitis. However, with Tracy McGrady and Kirk Hinrich both healthy, Pargo should be real inconsistent until Johnson's return. Hinrich started tonight, but had just two points in 18 minutes, clearing the way for Pargo's success.

Fri Mar 2 201223:57Pargo sees the floor during crunch time
Jannero Pargo played during crunch time and finished with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting with one rebound, two assists, and a 3-point shot in 18 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Pargo has been used in a closing role in a handful of games whenever Larry Drew doesn't like what he's getting from his starting backcourt. There's not enough here to make an add in most cases, but if Joe Johnson's knee injury is serious he'll be a guy to watch. Willie Green's return will only complicate matters.

Thu Feb 23 201223:03Jannero Pargo scores 15 points in win
Jannero Pargo scored 15 points off the bench on Thursday, hitting 6-of-9 shots from the field (including three treys) with three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 19 minutes.
Pargo will struggle for value if/when Joe Johnson (knee) returns after the break, so there's no reason to get too excited over this line.
