Sun Mar 11 2012 | 20:24 | Ivan Johnson leaves team for funeral |
Ivan Johnson is not with the Hawks on Sunday, as he traveled to San Antonio to attend a funeral and await the birth of his first child. |
Johnson has given Atlanta welcome toughness, defense and rebounding ever since Al Horford went down, but his blue-collar style doesn't translate into fantasy value. Consider him day-to-day. |

Fri Mar 9 2012 | 22:56 | Ivan Johnson gets some extra run on Friday |
Ivan Johnson received some extra playing time on Friday night and responded with 10 points, four rebounds and five steals. |
Johnson played 30 minutes tonight, while ZaZa Pachulia only played 14. The playing time was probably more to do with matchups than anything else, and we are going to need to see a few more performances like these from Johnson before we get too excited. |

Tue Feb 7 2012 | 02:25 | Johnson plays just 15 minutes on Monday |
Ivan Johnson played just 15 minutes on Monday, scoring nine points on 4-of-9 shooting with five rebounds and no steals or blocks. |
This slows down his roll after he averaged a double-double in his last two games, but if he can pick it up on Wednesday against the Pacers it might have the desired effect on deep league owners. 3-of-4 games with decent numbers will be enough to trigger an add in those formats. |

Ivan Johnson scored 14 points and ripped down 13 boards in Saturday's loss, earning his second double-double of the season. |
Johnson shot 7-of-11 in just 24 minutes off the bench. He'll continue to play solid minutes with Jason Collins out at least two weeks, and deserves a very long look in deep leagues -- he didn't block any shots tonight but averaged 1.3 in the previous three games. |

Ivan Johnson neared a double-double in Thursday's blowout loss, scoring 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes off the bench. |
Jason Collins (elbow) may be out for a bit and anytime the Hawks face a team with a big center, Johnson is going to be needed behind Zaza Pachulia. Deep leaguers should give him a look, but we're not entirely sold that he can be consistent just yet. |

Ivan Johnson played 22 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring four points on 1-of-3 shooting with two rebounds and no other stats. |
Johnson is a fun player to watch but he is too inconsistent for use in most leagues right now. If he can start putting up consistent low-end lines we'll let you know. |

Thu Jan 12 2012 | 23:31 | Ivan Johnson posts 12 points, seven boards |
Ivan Johnson scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds and a block in 21 minutes off the bench on Thursday. |
With Al Horford out for most of the year, Johnson will gain some attention for the freakish physicality he brings to the game. The production we see here could in theory be possible every night, but Johnson is going to be in constant foul trouble and on Larry Drew's last nerve. If you need a big man, feel free to take a flier but right now he's a really risky add in 12-team leagues. |

Little-known PF/C Ivan Johnson came out of nowhere to score 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting with four rebounds, a steal, and five turnovers in 21 minutes off the bench against the Heat. |
This triple-overtime game had some weird things go down in it, and Johnson's play was one of them. While spirited and entertaining, this could easily be the only time we talk about him all year. Willie Green also rose from the dead to score 14 points, and he's in the same board as Johnson. |
