Cromartie (ankle) is active for Thursday's game at St. Louis, Mark Dalton of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Cromartie left Sunday's win over the Chiefs with what has eventually diagnosed to be a tendon issue in his ankle. His fourth pick of the season could again elude him, as the Rams' Shaun Hill has fared well in four nods since assuming the starting QB gig (six touchdowns versus two interceptions). Moreover, Cromartie's snap count could be capped just four days removed from sustaining the injury, thereby limiting his IDP relevance.
Thu Dec 11 201410:58Cromartie (ankle) will play in Thursday's game against Rams
Cromartie (ankle) will play in Thursday's game against the Rams, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Cromartie's status was not supposed to be determined until game time, but it appears he was feeling good enough Thursday morning to be declared ready to play well in advance. Cromartie has three picks and 10 deflected passes on the season, but he has not added to either category since Week 9.

Cromartie (ankle) will be a game-time call for Thursday's game at St. Louis, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Cromartie sustained an ankle injury Sunday against the Chiefs, which was later deemed to be a tendon issue. If Cromartie takes a seat, Justin Bethel will likely fill in at cornerback, with Jerraud Powers remaining at nickel corner.
Mon Dec 8 201414:54Cromartie (ankle) day-to-day
Cromartie (ankle) is day-to-day, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
The report suggests that Cromartie has a chance to play Thursday against the Rams, though until we see him get a good practice in, we'll consider the cornerback iffy for the contest.

The injury that forced Cromartie out of Sunday's game against the Chiefs is not an Achilles' issue, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
While that's good news from a long-term perspective, at this stage, Cromartie has to be considered iffy for Thursday's game against the Rams.
Sun Dec 7 201418:55Cromartie suffered Achilles' injury Sunday against Chiefs
Cromartie suffered an Achilles' injury Sunday against the Chiefs, the Arizaona Republic reports.
More on Cromartie's status as it's available, but it looks like the cornerback is probably done for the day Sunday, at a minimum.

Cromartie contributed eight tackles (seven solo) and one tackle for loss during Sunday's loss at Atlanta.
Cromartie surpassed his tackle total (seven) from the previous four outings combined. However, aside from a three-game stretch from Week 8 through 10, when he tallied three interceptions and one fumble recovery for a touchdown, the cornerback has mostly been quiet on the IDP front.

Cromartie, who played all 62 defensive snaps in Sunday's victory versus the Rams, logged time at outside linebacker in addition to his duties at cornerback, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
On 16 snaps, Justin Bethel manned corner while Cromartie moved closer to the line of scrimmage, but the development didn't aid the latter's tackle total, as he nabbed just one solo in the game. However, Cromartie salvaged the outing by recovering a fumble and scampering 14 yards for the Cardinals' second defensive score in as many St. Louis possessions. After playing a major role in the turnover realm for a third consecutive outing -- in addition to the recovery, he's racked up three interceptions during that span -- he's rewarding owners that can do without expansive tackle numbers from week to week.

Cromartie took the field for 60 of the Cardinals' 64 defensive snaps during Sunday's victory at Dallas, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
After Arizona's nine-play, touchdown drive midway through the fourth quarter pushed the lead to 21-10, Cromartie promptly picked off Brandon Weeden on the Cowboys' subsequent possession, marking the cornerback's third interception in the past two games. Expect Cromartie to continue earning opportunities for picks, as opposing signal callers avoid Patrick Peterson like the plague.

Cromartie took the field for all but one of the Cardinals' 92 defensive snaps in Sunday's victory versus the Eagles, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 reports.
On the day, Cromartie supplied five solo tackles and three passes defended, the latter of which he took full advantage with his first two interceptions in a Cardinals uniform. According to Mark Dalton of the Cardinals' official site, his fourth-quarter pick of Nick Foles ensured Cromartie's status as the only player with at least two interceptions in each of the last eight seasons (2007-14). If Patrick Peterson is unable to fend off a concussion in advance of next Sunday's showdown at Dallas, Cromartie seems poised to handle most, if not all, of the snaps for a second week in a row.
Tue Oct 7 201416:22Cromartie notched three solo tackles and team-high three passes ...
Cromartie notched three solo tackles and a team-high three passes defended during Sunday's defeat at Denver, while playing all 81 defensive snaps, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Matched up against Demaryius Thomas for the entirety of the game, Cromartie was burned early and often to the tune of eight catches for a Broncos franchise record 226 receiving yards. As such, Cromartie's passes defended total is an ignominious one, as the Cardinals recorded six on the day. He'll have to regroup quickly with Patrick Peterson (ankle) hobbled across from him, and a matchup against Washington burners DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon on tap Sunday.
Wed Oct 1 201419:32Cromartie wasn't listed on Cardinals' injury report Wednesday
Cromartie wasn't listed on the Cardinals' injury report Wednesday, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
In the Cardinals' last contest in Week 3, Cromartie was removed with what was eventually diagnosed as a hyperextended left knee and bone bruise. With more than a week to recover, his name didn't make an appearance on the injury report, though, intimating the minor nature of the ailment. Because he's averaged three interceptions over the six seasons before his arrival in Arizona, his first pick as a Cardinal should come sooner rather than later.
Mon Sep 22 201417:26Cromartie's left knee injury isn't structural
Cromartie's left knee injury isn't structural, but he's been diagnosed with a hyperextended knee and bone bruise, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Cromartie was removed from Sunday's victory versus the 49ers in the third quarter, and an MRI later confirmed the nature of the injury. With a bye on tap in Week 4, the 30-year-old cornerback is expected to be cleared for Arizona's next game on Oct. 5 in Denver, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. If Cromartie doesn't recover as expected, though, Jerraud Powers is a capable fill-in, with 11 tackles (10 solo) and one interception to his name in 2014.
Sun Sep 21 201419:35Cromartie will undergo MRI
Cromartie, who injured the same left knee that has given him problems in the past, will undergo an MRI, FOX Sports 910's Mike Jurecki reports.
After exiting in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Cromartie never managed to return. If the veteran misses time beyond Sunday, Jerraud Powers will likely step in as a starter, and could become a viable IDP option working alongside Patrick Peterson.
Sun Sep 21 201418:08Cromartie left Sunday's game against 49ers with left knee injury
Cromartie left Sunday's game against the 49ers with a left knee injury, and he is questionable to return, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.
At the time of his exit in the third quarter, Cromartie had no tackles and one pass defense. He was replaced by Jerraud Powers, leaving Justin Bethel to work as the third cornerback.

Cromartie recorded three tackles and a pass defended during Sunday's victory versus the Giants at New York.
In Week 2, Cromartie rarely took a breather, taking the field for 70-of-72 defensive snaps, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports. At some point in his first season in the Arizona desert, he'll almost certainly contribute in the interception column working opposite Patrick Peterson, but through two games, Cromartie has just six tackles (five solo) and no other counting stats. Nonetheless, Cromartie's track record -- he's averaged three per season since picking off 10 in 2007 -- should keep him in the hearts and minds of IDP owners for the time being.

Cromartie (chest) recorded an interception while covering Ted Ginn in Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The one-handed pick occurred in the end zone with the receiver running a fade route, but the takeaway was important for another reason: Cromartie is back in action after missed practices last week due to a pectoral injury. Running opposite the newly-minted Patrick Peterson should help Cromartie rack up a significant number of passes defended and, by proxy, interceptions this coming season.
Fri Jun 27 201419:19Antonio Cromartie runs 4.36 forty in workout
Antonio Cromartie claims to have ran a 4.36 forty during an offseason workout.
It's obviously not an official time, but Cromartie looks fully healthy after playing through a hip injury in 2013. The Cardinals are counting on a bounce back year from Cromartie, bookending him with shadow CB Patrick Peterson. Cromartie was clocked at 4.47 during the 2006 Combine.

Wed Jun 18 201408:29Antonio Cromartie's hip looking healthy
Antonio Cromartie showed no signs of his 2013 hip injury during OTAs and minicamp.
Cromartie was one of the best corners in the league in 2012 and then one of the worst in 2013. The Cardinals are hoping that sharp decline was due to a hip injury first sustained way back in 2008 and then aggravated last season. If Cromartie is right, he'll form a very nice bookend with Patrick Peterson.
