Mon May 17 2010 | 21:18 | Indians' Donald could be on way to majors |
Indians prospect Jason Donald was pulled from Monday's game with Triple-A Columbus. |
Asdrubal Cabrera left Monday's game against the Rays with a left forearm injury, so Donald would be the logical replacement if he was forced to miss a significant amount of time. Donald, 25, was acquired as part of the Cliff Lee trade last July. Entering Monday's action, he was batting .281/.398/.430 with two homers and 17 RBI over his first 135 at-bats with Triple-A Columbus. |

Wed Apr 28 2010 | 14:02 | Indians prospect Donald goes 4-for-4 |
Jason Donald went 4-for-4 with a homer and a double Tuesday for Triple-A Columbus. |
We're surprised the Indians haven't given Donald any time at third this year, since he'd seem to be an option there if Jhonny Peralta is dealt. Donald, though, has played mostly second and some shortstop. He's hitting .324/.419/.500 with six steals in seven attempts, so he's off to a great start. |
