Mon Jun 6 201122:32Jamey Carroll has three-hit night
Jamey Carroll notched three singles against Philadelphia's Cliff Lee on Monday evening, but it wasn't enough for the Dodgers in a 3-1 loss.
Carroll now has 66 hits this season, 55 of which are singles. As a result, his .369 slugging percentage doesn't exactly align with his impressive .308 average and .373 on-base percentage. His best attribute in mixed leagues is that he won't hurt you.

Sun May 15 201120:04Jamey Carroll gets two hits, steal
Jamey Carroll went 2-for-4 with a steal and a run in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Carroll continues to rack up hits in the month of May, but remains a poor fantasy bet. He's now 18-for-49 (.367) over his last 12 games but remarkably has zero RBI over that span. With Rafael Furcal nearing a return, Carroll's at-bats could get squeezed a little anyway.

Thu Mar 24 201111:41Carroll (finger) returns to lineup Thursday
Jamey Carroll (finger) is back in the Dodgers' starting lineup Thursday.
Carroll struck out in a pinch-hit appearance on Wednesday, but this will be his first start since March 12. The utility man has been dealing with a right finger injury since being hit with a pitch earlier this spring. Assuming Casey Blake is forced to begin the season on the disabled list, Carroll will likely be the Opening Day second baseman.

Tue Mar 22 201118:13Carroll (finger) plays catch Tuesday
Jamey Carroll (finger) played catch Tuesday.
Carroll was hit on his right index finger by a pitch a couple of weeks back, but fully expects to be ready for Opening Day. If Casey Blake opens the season on the disabled list, look for Juan Uribe to play third and Carroll to start at second base.

Thu Mar 17 201112:53Carroll (finger) to take a couple days off
Jamey Carroll (finger) is expected to take the next few days off.
Carroll took a pitch off his right index finger a couple of weeks ago. While he doesn't have any problems hitting, he still feels something while throwing. Hopefully some rest will do the job.

Fri Sep 17 201010:20Carroll sidelined with sore wrist
Jamey Carroll is expected to miss the next few days with a sore wrist.
Dodgers manager Joe Torre said Carroll hurt the wrist on a swing "three or four days ago." He underwent an MRI on Thursday which revealed no structural damage. Carroll hasn't really played much since Rafael Furcal returned from the disabled list earlier this month, so his injury should have little impact on fantasy owners.

Fri Aug 27 201023:18Carroll may have fractured finger
Jamey Carroll may have a fractured tip of his right index finger.
"It doesn't matter if it is or not," said Carroll. "It looks broken, but you just deal with it. I don't think it affects me. It just looks funny." Carroll hasn't confirmed the fracture with an X-ray, because he said he doesn't want to know if it is actually broken. Ironically enough, he said he suffered the injury while taking ground balls on August 3, the day Furcal was placed on the disabled list with a lower back strain.

Tue Jul 20 201009:28Carroll plays outfield for first time in 2010
Jamey Carroll played outfield on Monday for the first time all season.
The Dodgers are keeping their options open with Manny Ramirez (calf) ailing and Reed Johnson (back) still on the disabled list. Carroll is extremely versatile and is batting a respectable .289 with a .390 on-base percentage in 190 at-bats this season. More playing time means greater fantasy value.
