The right-hander gave up six hits, walked four and threw a pair of wild pitches, so he didn't really deserve a win even though he left the game in line for one. The promise that Davies showed at the end of the 2008 season has all but faded now, as he holds a 5.48 ERA and 1.54 WHIP this season. He'll face the A's on the road next week.

Davies is now 2-1 with a 3.65 ERA.

Davies has been showing better velocity than usual during the young season, but there still isn't much upside here, in part because he is a Royal. There's no need to rush to pick him up in AL-only leagues.
