Sun Aug 24 201420:05Reynaud released by Bears on Sunday
Reynaud was released by the Bears on Sunday.
Reynaud was brought in last week to provide competition in the return game, but he did not show enough to stick around past the first round of cuts.
Tue Aug 19 201410:32Reynaud signed one-year contract with Bears on Monday
Reynaud signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Monday, ESPNChicago.com reports.
With none of the Bears' potential kick return options doing much to distinguish themselves in the first two preseason games, Reynaud will enter into the competition with the hope of claiming those duties. Reynaud returned two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns while with the Titans in 2012, but lost out on the role last season.
Thu Apr 24 201413:37Darius Reynaud works out for Bears
Free agent KR/RB Darius Reynaud worked out for the Bears on Wednesday.
Reynaud appeared in nine games between the Titans and Jets last season, notching one carry. He'd provide return depth for a team that parted ways with Devin Hester.

Tue Dec 3 201315:15Gang Green signing KR Darius Reynaud
Jets agreed to terms with RB/KR Darius Reynaud.
The veteran return man was released by the Titans in October. His addition is a sign that KR Josh Cribbs (shoulder) will be inactive for Week 14. Reynaud won't have a role on offense.

Thu Mar 14 201313:26Titans bring back KR Darius Reynaud
Titans re-signed KR Darius Reynaud to a one-year contract.
Filling in for an injured Marc Mariani last season, Reynaud was one of the top returners in the league. Reynaud averaged 13.2 yards on punts, and 23.4 yards on kicks. Mariani's fate is unclear as he recovers from a severe leg break.

Sat Mar 2 201320:13Titans could open talks with Darius Reynaud
The Titans are expected to open talks with free agent KR Darius Reynaud.
Reynaud is one the Titans' biggest priorities this offseason. Despite being limited to special teams, he shouldn't struggle to attract offers if he's allowed to hit the open market. NFL Network reported last week that the Browns could have interest in Reynaud as a replacement for Josh Cribbs.

Sat Sep 1 201211:04Darius Reynaud expected to be return man
RB Darius Reynaud is expected to be the Titans' primary return man this season.
Projected returner Marc Mariani broke his leg and is out for the season. That leaves Reynaud as the No. 4 running back and first option on both kickoff and punt returns. He managed just 5.7 yards per punt return and 18.4 yards per kick return back in 2010 with the Giants.

Sat Jan 7 201211:32Titans sign former Giant Darius Reynaud
Titans signed WR Darius Reynaud to a reserve/future contract.
The return man went unsigned after being amongst the Giants' final cuts in September. After averaging just 5.7 yards on 23 punt returns and 18.4 yards on 21 kick returns in 2010, Reynaud will be facing an uphill battle to earn a roster spot in Titans camp.

Sat Sep 3 201110:16Giants let go of returner Reynaud
Giants waived WR/PR Darius Reynaud.
Also waived by the Giants were DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk and C Jim Cordle. Reynaud is probably lucky he made it this far after averaging just 5.7 yards on 23 punt returns and 18.4 yards on 21 kick returns last season. With rookie Jerrel Jernigan turning in a poor preseason, Domenik Hixon will open the season as the Giants' primary return man.

Sun Jul 17 201111:09Reynaud in 'tough' spot for roster spot
ESPN New York's Ohm Youngmisuk thinks it will be "tough" for WR/PR Darius Reynaud to crack the Giants' 53-man roster this summer.
"Tough" may be putting in mildly after the former Viking averaged just 5.7 yards on 23 punt returns and 18.4 yards on 21 kick returns for the Giants in 2010. The selection of Jerrel Jernigan in the third-round of April's draft likely sealed Reynaud's fate.

Thu Mar 3 201113:03Giants re-sign Darius Reynaud
Giants re-signed restricted free agent WR/PR Darius Reynaud.
Reynaud, 26, appeared in nine games last season, averaging a horrific 5.7 yards per punt return and 18.4 on kickoffs. It's very difficult to imagine him beating out Domenik Hixon for either role so long as Hixon is healthy.

Sun Nov 7 201014:28Giants declare inactives
Giants declared WR/PR Darius Reynaud, FB Madison Hedgecock, LB Gerris Wilkinson, C Shaun O'Hara, OT Will Beatty, OL Jamon Meredith, LB Alex Hall, and DT Linval Joseph inactive for Week 9.
Osi Umenyiora (knee) will start in a saliva-inducing matchup with Seahawks fill-in LT Breno Giacomini. Will Blackmon is expected to take over for Reynaud on returns. Bear Pascoe will replace Hedgecock as the lead blocker.
Sat Nov 6 201011:45Reynaud out for Week 9 game with hammy injury
Giants KR/PR Darius Reynaud (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's Week 9 game.
So Reynaud's seemingly minor hamstring injury is a bigger deal than previously thought. Recently signed Will Blackmon is an option, though anyone the Giants throw out in the return game will be a better choice than Reynaud.

Fri Nov 5 201013:11Reynaud pulls hamstring during Fri practice
Giants KR/PR Darius Reynaud is listed as questionable after pulling his hamstring in Friday's practice.
Will Blackmon will likely assume return duties if Reynaud can't play Sunday against Seattle, though it appears the injury is minor and Reynaud expects to play.

Tue Nov 2 201008:18Reynaud still has job... for now
Giants coach Tom Coughlin indicated that KR/PR Darius Reynaud will keep his job for the time being despite the signing of DB/KR Will Blackmon.
When asked if Reynaud still had a role on the team, Coughlin said, "sure." What role is that? "The role that he's in right now." Coughlin said Reynaud's struggles are all on him, adding that he "hasn't had an awful lot to work with." Despite the coach-speak, expect Blackmon to take over on returns shortly.

Mon Sep 6 201011:24Reynaud will be WR for Giants
Giants coach Tom Coughlin said that WR/RB Darius Reynaud will play only wide receiver for his new team.
The Vikings moved Reynaud to running back over the offseason, but he'll go back to his more natural position with the G-Men. Reynaud won't see much action on offense, though, as his main duties will come in the return game.

Fri Sep 3 201021:43Giants acquire Darius Reynaud
In addition to Sage Rosenfels, Giants acquired RB/WR Darius Reynaud from the Vikings in exchange for an undisclosed conditional draft pick.
The Giants have been unable to settle on a punt returner, an area in which Reynaud brings experience. Reynaud was converted into a third-down back during the offseason in Minnesota, but his position is unclear for New York. Either way, Reynaud won't get the football enough to be a fantasy option.

Wed Jun 2 201010:04Reynaud a natural at running back?
Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said that converted receiver Darius Reynaud is a "natural" in the backfield.
Pass protection is obviously Bevell's biggest concern with using Reynaud as a third-down back. With Chester Taylor leaving, there is an opening for a pass-catching back. Reynaud will have to prove himself in that role during camp, but it sounds like he's off to a good start.

Wed Apr 14 201011:44Reynaud says move to RB is permanent
Darius Reynaud said his move to running back is permanent.
He even has a new running back number, 27. Reynaud gives the Vikings some options as a third-down back, but he won't be a true backup to Adrian Peterson. That role still belongs to Albert Young and possibly a running back the Vikings draft.
