Tue May 7 201311:44Free agent Trevor Scott visited the Patriots
Free agent DE Trevor Scott visited the Patriots last week.
Scott met with both the Patriots and Eagles last week, emerging without a contract. Perhaps teams are waiting to see where John Abraham and Dwight Freeney land before moving on to Scott. He could end up as a steal if asked to be a mere nickel rusher. Scott had three sacks in just 289 snaps for the Patriots last year.

Fri May 3 201308:08Free agent DE Trevor Scott visits Eagles
Free agent DE Trevor Scott visited the Eagles on Thursday.
Scott, 28, recorded three sacks while playing just 22.7 percent of the defensive snaps for the Patriots last season. He'd play outside linebacker in Philadelphia, but the Eagles already have a crowd at the position. They were likely just doing their due diligence on Scott.

Fri Feb 15 201310:10Trevor Scott a potential 'undervalued asset'?
ESPN Boston believes free agent DE Trevor Scott could be an "undervalued asset on the market as a nickel rusher."
A hamstring injury and the emergence of first-round pick Chandler Jones conspired to limit Scott to just 22 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps last season, but he managed to tally three sacks across 289 plays. Still on the right side of 30, Scott has 16.5 career QB takedowns in 72 games.

Patriots DE Trevor Scott (hamstring) and LB Tracy White (foot) have been ruled out for Week 10.
Both have played just a handful of snaps this season, so there's really nothing to see here. White hasn't appeared in a game since Week 5, and Scott has been out since Week 6.

Sun May 27 201210:59Partiots using Scott as ''elephant'' rusher
Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Globe suggests DE/OLB Trevor Scott could have a big impact this season.
Early predictions are notoriously unreliable, but Scott has been working as New England's ''elephant'' pass-rusher during OTAs. Scott has a total of 13.5 sacks in four seasons and could start opposite rookie Chandler Jones, while also serving as depth behind Dont'a Hightower.

Free agent DE/OLB Trevor Scott will visit the Patriots.
Scott played just 251 snaps for the Raiders last season, and graded out as one of the worst defensive ends in the league by Pro Football Focus. He'd be a pass-rushing specialist if he ended up in New England.

Wed Jun 15 201110:19Raiders DE Scott unhappy with rehab plan
Raiders DE/OLB Trevor Scott thinks it's "B.S." that he hasn't been allowed to communicate with team trainers while rehabbing his surgically repaired ACL this offseason.
"It just kind of sucks," said Scott, "the whole thing." Scott is six months removed from surgery, so he'll likely be eased back in during training camp. As well as RE Matt Shaughnessy played down the stretch last season, Scott will likely be relegated to a rotational role as he enters a contract season.

Wed Nov 24 201018:53Raiders place Trevor Scott on injured reserve
Raiders placed RE/WLB Trevor Scott on injured reserve with a torn left ACL, ending his season.
Scott finishes with 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks, shuttling between weak-side linebacker and right end in ten appearances. He combined for 12 sacks in his first two years, so this was a disappointing campaign. Scott is under control for the $550K fourth-year minimum in 2011, but his ability to regain a starting job may hinge on Matt Shaughnessy's finish to the season.
Sun Nov 21 201015:00Scott leaves Week 11 game with knee injury
Raiders DE Trevor Scott was forced from the game late in the second quarter with a knee injury.
Scott has been ruled out for the rest of the game. The Raiders are already without DL Richard Seymour, who was ejected for smacking Ben Roethlisberger in the head earlier in the quarter. Matt Shaughnessy will take over at RE.
Wed Sep 8 201018:22Raiders promote Trevor Scott at RE
Coach Tom Cable revealed Wednesday that Trevor Scott has overtaken Matt Shaughnessy to be the Raiders' starting right end.
With Quentin Groves replacing Scott at weak-side linebacker, Cable believes this alignment puts the Raiders' best 11 on the field together. Shaughnessy still should play often (Oakland only carried three ends), but won't be a reliable IDP. Scott is a major sleeper, and double-digit sack threat.

Sat Sep 4 201011:15Trevor Scott also lining up at DE
Raiders LB Trevor Scott is expected to line up at right end throughout the season for the team.
Scott began his career on the defensive line, but was moved to weakside linebacker. Lining him up at end will allow the team to occasionally use a 3-4.
Fri Apr 16 201011:11Trevor Scott taking over on weak side
Raiders coach Tom Cable confirmed that Trevor Scott has supplanted Thomas Howard as the starting weakside linebacker.
Howard has yet to sign his tender, and the Raiders are expected to shop him along with Kirk Morrison leading up to the draft. Scott had a successful trial-run in the same role late last season, racking up five sacks in the final six games.
