Tue Sep 10 201316:03Bucs re-sign fullback Spencer Larsen
Bucs re-signed FB Spencer Larsen.
Rookie DT Chris Jones was waived in a corresponding roster move. FB Erik Lorig missed Week 1 with a calf injury, and this is an indication he's in danger of missing Week 2. The No. 198 pick of April's draft (by the Texans), Jones will likely be stashed on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Tue Apr 2 201318:25FB Spencer Larsen visits the Bills
Free agent FB Spencer Larsen is visiting the Bills.
Larsen is a potential replacement for free agent Corey McIntyre, though the Bills reportedly want McIntyre back. Maybe this will drive McIntyre's price down. Larsen missed all of 2012 with an undisclosed injury.

Thu Mar 22 201219:07Patriots sign FB Spender Larsen
Patriots signed FB Spencer Larsen, formerly of the Broncos, to a two-year contract.
Larsen is a favorite of Patriots OC Josh McDaniels going back to their time together in Denver. The Pats have only rarely utilized a fullback the past two seasons, so Larsen's primary impact will likely come on special teams, if not a return to linebacker.

Wed Mar 21 201212:09Report: FB Spencer Larsen visited Patriots
Free agent FB Spencer Larsen reportedly visited the Patriots earlier this week.
Leave it to Bill Belichick to pursue a player with experience at fullback, linebacker, and special teams since entering the league as a 2008 sixth-round pick. Spender wouldn't see much time as a lead-blocker in New England.

Broncos placed FB Spencer Larsen (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Larsen sprained his MCL in the regular-season finale. The Broncos needed his roster spot to add a receiver with Eric Decker sidelined. An offensive role player and special teamer, Larsen is a free agent in 2012.

Sun Jan 1 201217:06Broncos lose fullback Spencer Larsen
Broncos FB Spencer Larsen was forced from Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a knee injury, and will not return.
Larsen is a below-average blocker, but his loss is very bad news for a Broncos team that deactivated backup FB Austin Sylvester this afternoon. Larsen's injury appeared serious, and it's doubtful he'll be available for the postseason if Denver advances.

Sat Oct 9 201019:43Broncos FB Larsen (ankle) out again Week 5
FB Spencer Larsen has been ruled out (ankle) for the Broncos' Week 5 game at Baltimore.
Larsen is not only important to the Denver running game, but special teams as well. Without the former linebacker suiting up Week 4 at Tennessee, the Broncos gave up a 98-yard kick return for a touchdown and mustered a putrid 19 net yards rushing against Tennessee. We wouldn't advise starting any Bronco RBs against the Ravens unless you have no other options.

TE Dan Gronkowski will fill in at fullback for Spencer Larsen, who was ruled out for Week 4 at Tennessee.
The Bronco running game is suffering multiple injuries what with Knowshon Moreno also ruled out for Sunday's tilt against the Titans. As Larsen is a former linebacker, converted fullbacks are nothing new for Denver. We have Week 4 starter Laurence Maroney projected as the No. 31 RB against Tennessee's 17th-ranked rush defense.

Tue Jun 8 201018:06Larsen giving up linebacker chores
Former linebacker Spencer Larsen is now a full-time fullback for the Broncos.
The transition is complete for the college linebacker. He hasn't been to a defensive meeting all spring, and he's only using the offensive playbook. Larsen tops the depth chart as the lead blocker following the team's trade of Peyton Hillis to the Browns.
