Tue Sep 1 201517:56Holliday released by Raiders on Tuesday
Holliday was released by the Raiders on Tuesday, CSN Bay Area reports.
Holliday made a run at the Raiders' return job, but once it was determined that he would not open the season in that role, the Raiders decided to cut him loose. He could latch on with another team looking for help in the return game.
Mon Aug 3 201514:10Holliday activated from Raiders' PUP list on Monday
Holliday was activated from the Raiders' PUP list on Monday, RaidersBeat.com's Steve Corkran reports.
Holliday marked his Raiders training camp debut Monday by fielding kicks, which has always been his NFL calling card. After bouncing around the league lately, the world-class speedster will hope to lock down a roster spot in Oakland this upcoming season.
Thu Apr 30 201515:32The 49ers have waived Holliday
The 49ers have waived Holliday, the team's official site reports.
Holliday, who appeared in one game each for the 49ers and Bucs last season, could catch on elsewhere as a return option, but the 5-5, 166-pound wideout doesn't factor in enough on offense to merit fantasy attention.
Sat Nov 1 201418:22Holliday (hamstring) cut by Buccaneers on Saturday
Holliday (hamstring) was cut by the Buccaneers on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.
Holliday had signed with the Buccaneers just a week earlier, but was cut by the team after the hamstring injury threatened to keep him out of action Sunday against the Browns. The Buccaneers added Marcus Thigpen to their roster earlier in the week as insurance for their return game, so he'll presumably overtake Holliday's role on special teams.
Tue Oct 21 201416:49Holliday officially signed with Buccaneers on Tuesday
Holliday officially signed with the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Holliday likely won't see many snaps on the offensive side, but has an opportunity to win both the kick and punt return jobs in Tampa Bay this season. This would relieve Mike James and Bobby Rainey of those duties, but doesn't drastically change any of those players' fantasy values outside of leagues that emphasize return yardage.
Mon Oct 20 201422:10Trindon Holliday: Will Sign With Tampa Bay
Holliday is expected to sign with the Buccaneers sometime this week, Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times reports.
Holliday was a member of the Giants during training camp but ultimately failed to make the team. As a return specialist, Holliday has the ability to claim both returning gigs in Tampa Bay and will have an opportunity to do so before season's end.
Sat Aug 30 201412:56Holliday (hamstring) placed on injured reserve Saturday
Holliday (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, the New York Daily News reports.
Holliday was an option to make the team as a reserve receiver but mostly as a kick returner. Unfortuantely, a hamstring injury has caused him to miss some of the preseason, and either that injury or a larger one will send him to IR.
Tue Aug 12 201417:19Holliday (hamstring) not expected to practice this week
Holliday (hamstring) is not expected to practice this week, the New York Daily News reports.
While little is known about Holliday's injury, it appears likely it will hold him out of Saturday's preseason matchup with the Colts.

Tue Aug 21 201217:44Returner Holliday expected to make team
The Houston Chronicle believes KR/PR Trindon Holliday has "made the team" with a strong performance this month.
Coach Gary Kubiak suggested Holliday would finally stick if he proves to be a "special" returner. The 2010 sixth-rounder has responded with 90- and 87-yard returns in preseason action. Holliday finally showed improvement as a receiver in offseason practices, giving Kubiak another excuse to keep him on as the sixth wideout.

He's off to a very good start. Holliday returned a kick 90 yards for a touchdown in the preseason opener, finishing with three kickoff returns for 159 yards and three punt returns for 23 yards. One of the fastest athletes on the planet, Holliday was NCAA 100 meter dash champion in 2009.

Texans signed KR Trindon Holliday, WR Juaquin Iglesias, DL Sunny Harris, LB Derrell Smith, C Cody Wallace, and DB Torri Williams to reserve/futures contracts.
Holliday doesn't play receiver, so he's a longshot for the 2012 roster even after Jacoby Jones' miscues led in large part to the Texans' season-ending loss. Iglesias was a final cut in Minnesota last September.

Texans waived KR Trindon Holliday.
Holliday doesn't play receiver, so he's more of a roster luxury than necessity as a backup return specialist. His release could be viewed as a sign that the Texans are confident Andre Johnson will return this week, freeing up Jacoby Jones to concentrate on punt returns.
