Sun Mar 20 201111:02McCann denies he was intoxicated
Cowboys CB Bryan McCann released a statement on Sunday morning, denying he was intoxicated at the time of his Saturday morning arrest.
It defies believability that police would arrest and charge somebody with public intoxication unless they were clearly intoxicated, so McCann's statement is likely more semantics than anything else. All things considered, public intoxication isn't a terribly serious charge, and McCann would probably be best off just keeping quiet about it from here on out.

Cowboys CB Bryan McCann was arrested in Dallas on early Saturday morning and charged with public intoxication.
An undrafted rookie free agent, McCann notched a pick-six and 15 tackles in nine games last season, also serving as an occasional kick and punt returner. Despite the ongoing lockout, all NFL players remain subject to the league's conduct policy. Cowboys CB Bryan McCann said he knew which route Hakeem Nicks was running Sunday when he stepped in front of a pass and ran back an interception 101 yards for a score.
McCann said Nicks always gives a juke when he's getting ready to cut inside but doesn't if he's running a fade pattern. "As soon as he came off the line he was shaking, shaking, shaking," McCann said, "and I knew immediately he wasn't trying to get the fade." Maybe Nicks will do a better job of disguising his routes from now on.
