An eighth-year undrafted free agent, Jones appeared in seven games for the Cowboys last season. Browns coach Mike Pettine was Jones' position coach for two years in Baltimore. Jones would just be a camp body if added to the 90-man roster.

An ill-timed injury for a special teamer and reserve linebacker who was active just five times for the Ravens last season. If Jones isn't active for Washington's preseason finale on September 1, he can likely kiss his chances of making the roster goodbye.

The college defensive end has been tried at tight end and fullback to this point, but outside 'backer is his best position in Baltimore's 3-4. Jones still has to make the roster as a special teamer. He had 19 ST tackles in 2009.

The Ravens are converting TE/LB Edgar Jones to fullback.
His primary role remains on special teams (he made 9 ST spots in 2009), but Jones is becoming a jack of all trades. The former college linebacker played tight end last year. He'll now back up starting lead blocker La'Ron McClain.
