Wed Mar 13 201318:26Free agent OG Deuce Lutui suspended 4 games
Free agent OG Deuce Lutui has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season.
It's likely the result of testing positive for PEDs, but we're not certain. Lutui hasn't had any run-ins with the law recently. After being signed by the Titans in Week 2 last season, Deuce went on to start eight games at right guard. He was a major part of the interior line problem. Poor play coupled with a suspension doesn't bode well for his free agency outlook.

Sat Nov 3 201211:00Deuce Lutui to start at RG for Titans
Deuce Lutui will start in place of Leroy Harris (knee) at RG for the Titans in Week 9 against the Bears.
This will be the first action for the veteran guard since he singed with the Titans in September. Lutui played 93 games with 72 starts for the Cardinals from 2006-2011.

Mon Sep 10 201217:04Titans sign Lutui to one-year contract
Titans signed OG Deuce Lutui to a one-year contract.
Lutui worked out for the Titans early last week, and they signed him after an abysmal Opening Day effort by the interior offensive line. Lutui, 29, has not started a game since the end of the 2010 season, but he could quickly move up the depth chart in Nashville. He's a legit candidate to start at right guard.

Mon Sep 3 201217:35Titans work out Deuce Lutui
The Titans worked out free agent OG Deuce Lutui on Monday.
An earlier report indicated Lutui would likely be signed, although nothing has been finalized. He would add another option to a porous Titans interior line.

Wed Jun 20 201211:05Deuce Lutui down to 338 pounds
Seahawks OG Deuce Lutui is down to 338 pounds.
Weight problems plagued Lutui throughout his time as a Cardinal, often reporting to camp between 380 and 400 pounds. He now appears inspired after getting picked up by his former college coach, Pete Carroll. An in-shape Lutui would be quality depth for the Seahawks.

Sat May 5 201211:07Deuce Lutui's weight is 'way down'
According to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, OG Deuce Lutui's weight is "way down."
"He looks good," Carroll said. "His weight is down - I mean, way down from where he can be. He's a vegan, too, now, so he has really made a big turn." It appears Lutui has finally gotten serious about staying in shape after being benched by the Cardinals last season. Lutui provides Seattle with veteran insurance for rehabbing RG John Moffitt (torn MCL, PCL).

Thu Apr 5 201215:06Lutui, Keith still options for Cardinals
The Cardinals haven't "closed the door" on re-signing free agents OG Deuce Lutui and OT Brandon Keith.
Their return would have to come at the right price and likely not until after the draft. Pass-blocking liability Jeremy Bridges would start at right tackle if the season started today, though the Cardinals are expected to address the position in the draft. AzCardinals.com's Darren Urban "never got the sense" that Arizona is interested in free agent Marcus McNeill.

Mon Apr 2 201218:52Seahawks try out Deuce Lutui
The Seahawks tried out free agent OG Deuce Lutui on Monday.
Lutui is making the NFC West rounds, also recently working out for the 49ers. Teams want to see Lutui on the hoof because he's struggled with weight problems in his NFL career. He's been a powerful right guard when in shape.

Tue Mar 27 201216:0449ers work out free agent G Deuce Lutui
The 49ers recently worked out free agent G Deuce Lutui.
The Cardinals' starting right guard since 2006, Lutui was stripped of his starting job last season after reporting to camp significantly overweight for the second straight year, and has drawn no other known interest on the open market. Still just 28, Lutui has the ability to be a starting NFL lineman, but may no longer have the drive.

Mon Feb 27 201219:43Whisenhunt: Lutui must get weight in order
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said at the Combine that the Cardinals would welcome back free agent OG Deuce Lutui only under the condition that he gets in shape.
"It's up to Deuce," said Whisenhunt. "We'd like to have him back but one of the things we have to get worked out with Deuce is his weight. We had to struggle with him the last couple of years. The bottom line is that Deuce hasn't played as well when he has been heavy." Lutui, 29 in May, lost his starting job last season and appeared only on special teams. We suspect he won't return.

Thu Feb 23 201211:36Deuce Lutui likely done in Arizona
Free agent G Deuce Lutui is unlikely to re-sign with the Cardinals.
Playing on a one-year deal, Lutui was a total bust last season, playing just 45 snaps in 15 games. He'll draw scant interest until he proves he's committed to getting and staying in shape.

Mon Oct 10 201110:08Deuce Lutui strictly a backup
Deuce Lutui is strictly a backup right guard.
When right guard Daryn Colledge went down Sunday, he was replaced by D'Anthony Batiste. Lutui isn't even versatile enough to change sides.

Sun Jul 31 201117:47Lutui fails physical, re-signs with Cardinals
Cardinals agreed to terms with RG Deuce Lutui on a one-year contract.
Lutui's two-year agreement with Cincinnati was declared null and void after he flunked his physical. It's hardly a surprise for a player who was dubbed "Double Deuce" after arriving to camp at 400 pounds a year ago. The Cardinals are now flush with guards after signing Daryn Colledge and Pork Chop Womack, though Lutui will presumably regain his starting job once he gets in shape. Arizona still desperately needs a staring-caliber left tackle to keep Kevin Kolb upright.

Fri Jul 29 201119:40Bengals steal Lutui away from Cardinals
Bengals signed G Deuce Lutui, formerly of the Cardinals, to a two-year contract.
Finally, something goes right for the Bengals this week. By adding Lutui, they get a 6'4/338 power guard that was the best offensive lineman on the Cardinals last year. It's excellent news for both Cedric Benson and whoever wins the Bruce Gradkowski vs. Andy Dalton showdown.

Thu Jul 28 201113:31Cardinals still want to keep OG Lutui
The Arizona Republic confirms the Cardinals still want to keep free agent RG Deuce Lutui after signing Daryn Colledge.
Journeyman Rex Hadnot is around for insurance, but the Cardinals should be aiming higher up front. Signing an impact tackle would go a long toward keeping Kevin Kolb upright as well.

Sun Jun 26 201116:22Cardinals expected to address O-Line
The Cardinals are expected to place an emphasis on the offensive line in free agency.
The first order of business will be to re-sign guard Deuce Lutui and center Lyle Sendlein. The Cardinals may then look to sign a tackle, as Levi Brown and Brandon Keith both struggled mightily to pass protect last season. There's not much use in trading for a QB of the future only to install him behind a pair of swinging gates.

Thu Mar 3 201115:09Lutui, Sendlein draw second-round tenders
Cardinals extended second-round restricted free agent tenders to OG Deuce Lutui and C Lyle Sendlein.
Both players are expected to ultimately reach unrestricted free agency this offseason. The Cardinals believe they have a good chance to sign the two starters, and may have already if not for the 30 percent rule.
