Sun Dec 11 201117:51Losman finishes game for injured Moore
J.P. Losman completed six of 10 passes for 60 yards in Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Losman finished the game for Matt Moore, who left in the fourth quarter with a head injury. He converted on two critical third downs before middling on his next three drives. If Moore were to miss multiple weeks, Losman would get to start against his former team in the Bills in Week 15.

Dolphins signed QB J.P. Losman, formerly of the Seahawks.
Matt Moore's starting job just got a lot more secure, as Losman replaces Sage Rosenfels as the primary backup in Miami. Out of the league the first two months of the season, Losman has attempted just one NFL pass since losing the Bills starting job in 2008. He holds a career 10-23 record as a starter with a 59.2 completion percentage and 75.6 passer rating.

Sat Jan 8 201115:12Seahawks declare inactives
Seahawks declared third QB J.P. Losman, CB Marcus Brown, LB Joe Pawelek, OLs Paul Fanaika, Lemuel Jeanpierre, and Breno Giacomini, DL Amon Gordon, and S Josh Pinkard inactive for Week 18.
Matt Hasselbeck is active and starting, as expected, with Charlie Whitehurst ready in case he aggravates his hip strain. Seattle is in much better shape physically than New Orleans, but the Saints still have far more talent.

Sat Sep 4 201011:29Seahawks release Losman
Seahawks released QB J.P. Losman.
Multiple observers in Seahawks camp noted that Losman looked like a more game-ready backup option than Charlie Whitehurst, but allegedly competition-crazed Pete Carroll never gave Losman a chance. Seattle will go with two QBs for now, but that could change when Matt Leinart hits free agency.

Sun Aug 8 201016:17Losman beating out Charlie Whitehurst
According to SI.com's Jim Trotter, "observers contend" that J.P. Losman is beating out Charlie Whitehurst to be the Seahawks' No. 2 quarterback.
Whitehurst's draft-weekend acquisition is already looking like a bust, and first-year GM John Schneider may draw the brunt of the blame. Either way, it's become clearer and clearer daily that Matt Hasselbeck's starting job is safe.

Tue May 18 201020:40Seahawks bringing in quarterback J.P. Losman
Seahawks signed QB J.P. Losman, formerly of the Raiders.
That explains the decision to dump fourth QB Mike Reilly after just two weeks on the roster. Seattle's Mike Teel is a promising developmental prospect, so Losman is unlikely to make the team as the No. 3 QB. He didn't come close to seeing the field with a desperate Raiders team late last season.
