Fri May 10 201313:19Tyrell Sutton working out for the Lions
Free agent RB Tyrell Sutton is participating in Lions rookie camp on a tryout basis.
Former Clemson S DeAndre McDaniel is another somewhat big name getting a look. Sutton was a productive running back at Northwestern and flashed in previous preseasons, but he's 26 now and on his last NFL legs. He's an extreme long shot to earn a roster spot behind Reggie Bush, Mikel Leshoure, and Joique Bell.

Wed Jan 4 201219:19Seahawks sign RB Tyrell Sutton
Seahawks signed RB Tyrell Sutton to a reserve/future contract.
Sutton spent the 2011 season out of football after being among Carolina's final cuts. Once well thought-of around the league, Sutton was considered a one-cut zone system runner coming out of Northwestern. He should have a chance to crack Seattle's 2012 roster as a No. 3 back/special teamer.

Tue Oct 4 201103:2849ers have RB Tyrell Sutton in for a vist
The 49ers are trying out former Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton.
Sutton had his tires kicked by the Bengals and that's likely what the Niners are doing here. The one-cut runner hasn't generated quite the interest we thought he would after being waived by the Panthers.

Tue Sep 20 201109:05Sutton trying out for Bengals
The Bengals are trying out free agent RB Tyrell Sutton Tuesday, a source tells Scout.com.
Sutton has flashed NFL-caliber talent during his stint with the Panthers. In fact, he almost certainly has more burst than Cedric Benson. But the stubborn Bengals are likely just kicking the tires here in case Benson or Bernard Scott go down.

Sat Sep 3 201109:21Tyrell Sutton let go by Panthers
Panthers waived RB Tyrell Sutton.
Carolina will enter the season with only three running backs. Sutton appeared in parts of just nine games last year, but made his presence known as a third-down back, notching 12 catches for 70 yards while carrying the ball 13 times for 71 yards. With many teams looking thin at running back heading into Week 1, he shouldn't have a terribly difficult time finding a new job.

Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 12.
It could've been Sutton -- not Mike Goodson -- generating sleeper hype in Weeks 10-11 if not for a Week 9 ankle sprain that was probably of the high variety. Sutton will miss a third straight contest. He has 10 touches this year.

Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton was carted off the field with an ankle injury during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Saints.

Panthers declared RB Tyrell Sutton, WR Armanti Edwards, OT Jeff Otah, C Chris Morris, DT Andre Neblett, LB Jamar Williams, CB C.J. Wilson and third QB Tony Pike inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.

The Panthers have no interest in trading RB Tyrell Sutton.
An unnamed NFC team reportedly asked about Sutton's availability but were dismissed. The Panthers have the deepest corps of running backs in the league, as Sutton could be a second-stringer on some teams but is the No. 4 back in Carolina.

Wed Sep 1 201012:59Sutton, Guy out for preseason finale
Panthers RB Tyrell Sutton (shoulder) and WR/KR Trent Guy (hamstring) will not make the trip to Pittsburgh for the preseason finale.
The Panthers' return jobs are finally starting to clear up. Guy is likely practice squad bound, and Sutton's injury should leave Mike Goodson as the primary kickoff returner. Captain Munnerlyn is expected to handle punts again after rookie Armanti Edwards struggled early in preseason action.
