Tue Aug 31 201013:13Panthers lose special teamer Wright
Panthers placed WR Wallace Wright (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Wright sustained a serious shoulder injury in Saturday's game against the Titans. In Carolina's penny-pinching offseason mode, the special teams ace counted as a high-profile acquisition.

Tue Aug 3 201019:30Wright working with ones in three-wide sets
Wallace Wright has been on the first-team unit when the Panthers have gone to three wide receiver sets during practice.
Wright is a special teams ace but has caught only eight passes in his four professional seasons. This isn't a huge surprise, as Steve Smith is injured and the two favorites for the No. 3 role, Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards, are rookies that often have to start at the bottom of the totem pole. Don't put Wright on your sleeper list.
