Sun Sep 2 201219:54Browns deny A.J. Feeley rumor
Browns GM Tom Heckert denies a rumor that Cleveland was showing interest in free agent QB A.J. Feeley.
"A.J. is one of my good friends, but I haven't talked to A.J. in months," Heckert said. "I have no idea where that came from. "I think we're pretty set [at quarterback]. You never say never, but, yeah, we are pretty happy with the position." The Browns plan to enter the season with Colt McCoy backing up rookie starter Brandon Weeden. Thad Lewis is the third-stringer.

Fri Dec 23 201113:53A.J. Feeley ruled out for Week 16 game
A.J. Feeley (thumb) has been ruled out for Week 16.
Feeley has a fractured thumb and can't grip a ball. We suspect Kellen Clemens and Tom Brandstater will close the season as the Rams' top two quarterbacks.

Tue Dec 20 201118:30A.J. Feeley still not practicing
A.J. Feeley (thumb) was held out of Rams practice Tuesday.
Even if Feeley manages to return to practice on Wednesday, the chances he takes another in-game snap this season are slim. Barring an unexpected return to practice for Sam Bradford this week, Kellen Clemens will make his second straight start against the Steelers.

A.J. Feeley (thumb) missed Rams practice again on Friday.
With Feeley and Sam Bradford (ankle) out, the Rams will turn to Kellen Clemens against the Bengals. Tom Brandstater will be available off the bench.

Wed Dec 14 201118:32A.J. Feeley misses Rams practice
A.J. Feeley (thumb fracture) missed Rams practice Wednesday.
It doesn't sound like he's going to be available this week, either. Should Sam Bradford's ankle not recover enough prior to Sunday's clash with the Bengals, Kellen Clemens would likely get the call to start over Tom Brandstater.

Sat Dec 10 201113:54A.J. Feeley misses another practice
A.J. Feeley (thumb) missed Rams practice for the third straight day on Saturday.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo said he does not expect Feeley to be active against the Seahawks. Regular starter Sam Bradford (ankle) sounds like he will be a game-time decision after turning in a limited practice on Saturday. Recent acquisition Kellen Clemens reportedly got in "plenty" of first-team reps, and could be pushing Tom Brandstater for the start if Bradford doesn't go.

Wed Dec 7 201116:50A.J. Feeley still can't grip the football
Rams QB A.J. Feeley still has his fractured right thumb in a wrap and cannot grip a football.
He can't throw, let alone practice. Feeley is shaping up as doubtful for Week 14 while Sam Bradford (ankle) is questionable at best. We would recommend to snatch up the Seahawks' fantasy defense to plug-and-play on Monday night.

Mon Dec 5 201115:14Feeley has 'small' fracture in throwing thumb
Backup Rams QB A.J. Feeley has been diagnosed with a "small" fracture on his right (throwing) thumb.
He briefly played through the injury at the end of Sunday's loss, but it's unclear if he'll be able to give it a go this week if Sam Bradford (ankle) isn't ready to return. If both were out, the Rams would be forced to start usual practice-squad player Tom Brandstater against the Seahawks.

Mon Dec 5 201110:55Feeley undergoes X-rays on throwing hand
Backup Rams QB A.J. Feeley underwent X-rays on his throwing hand after banging his right thumb on a helmet late in Sunday's loss.
Feeley was able to play through the injury, and it appears X-rays have come back negative. With Sam Bradford sounding more week-to-week than day-to-day with his ankle injury, there's a good chance Feeley will be called on to make another start against the Seahawks in Week 14. If neither Bradford nor Feeley can go, the Rams will be forced to turn to Tom Brandstater.

Sun Dec 4 201119:32A.J. Feeley has quiet day in third start
Backup A.J. Feeley couldn't reverse the Rams' fortunes in a shutout loss to the 49ers Sunday, completing 12-of-22 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown.
Making his third start of the season in place of an injured Sam Bradford, Feeley was limited to dinking and dunking, with just one of his 12 completions going for over 20 yards. His interception was a nearly 50-yard wobbler picked off by 49ers FS Dashon Goldson in the middle of the field. Thanks to injuries and protection issues, Bradford has been amongst the most unproductive quarterbacks in the league this season, but remains a massive upgrade over his backup.

Fri Dec 2 201115:16A.J. Feeley takes bulk of practice reps
A.J. Feeley took all of the Rams' first-team quarterback reps in Thursday's practice and the bulk of the reps on Friday with Sam Bradford nursing an aggravated high ankle sprain.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says Bradford's status is in "limbo." Said coach Steve Spagnuolo after Friday's practice, "He was very sore. As always, this will be a day-to-day deal. ... If we feel good about it Sunday, we'll give it a chance. All the scenarios are viable." Feeley probably has a better than 50:50 shot to start Sunday's meeting with San Francisco.

Sun Oct 23 201119:46Feeley throws for 196 yards in loss
A.J. Feeley completed 20-of-33 passes for 196 yards and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Feeley looked every bit like a quarterback making his first start since 2007, exhibiting little touch while often staring down No. 1 receiver Brandon Lloyd. Multiple incompletions appeared to be the result of miscommunications with his wideouts. Feeley by no means embarrassed himself, but certainly showed he'll be a poor bye week fill-in for fantasy players if forced to make another start in Week 8.

Sat Oct 22 201116:00Feeley starting for the Rams on Sunday
With Sam Bradford (ankle) out for Week 7 against the Cowboys, A.J. Feeley will make his first start since 2007.
Feeley has attempted just five passes the past four years, all of which came in Week 1 this season. The owner of a career 69.3 quarterback rating and 55.7 completion percentage over parts of 24 games, he figures to be in for an extremely long afternoon against Rob Ryan's complex defense. Unless Feeley is literally your only option, he should be left on the wire in all formats.

Mon Sep 6 201014:22A.J. Feeley returns to practice
Rams QB A.J. Feeley (thumb) returned to practice on Monday, taking snaps from center and looking "improved."
The thumb injury cost Feeley St. Louis' final two preseason games, but he'll be ready to back up Sam Bradford in Week 1. Thaddeus Lewis is third string.

Fri Sep 3 201009:39Feeley to get back in practice Monday?
A.J. Feeley (thumb) threw some deep balls during warmups Thursday and expects to return to practice Monday.
Feeley is going to come back to practice as the No. 2 quarterback. Rookie Sam Bradford has posted a 138.5 passer rating in two preseason starts, cementing his status as the starter. Barring injury, Feeley will hold a clipboard for the rest of the season.

Fri Aug 27 201017:40Spags rules out Feeley for finale
Coach Steve Spagnuolo has ruled out A.J. Feeley (thumb) for the Rams' preseason finale.
This should settle the quarterback competition once and for all, if it wasn't already on Thursday night. There's no question that Sam Bradford give the Rams a better chance to win. The No. 1 overall pick will make a second straight start next Thursday against Baltimore. Assuming all goes well, expect Spagnuolo to anoint Bradford as St. Louis' Opening Day starter shortly thereafter.
Mon Aug 23 201008:50Feeley status for Thursday in doubt
A.J. Feeley experienced swelling in his right (throwing) thumb Sunday and his status for Thursday's third preseason game is very questionable.
If Feeley can't go, No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford will get the nod. The initial diagnosis on Feeley is a sprained thumb, the severity of which will be known after we hear the MRI results. This should be Bradford's chance to put a grip on the starting gig.

Sun Aug 22 201017:36A.J. Feeley to have MRI on thumb
A.J. Feeley will have his injured right thumb checked out by an MRI.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo confirmed that Feeley's elbow is "fine," but there is clearly some concern about his throwing hand. If Feeley misses the Rams' third preseason game, Sam Bradford could restate his case for the starting job. Bradford struggled on Saturday night. St. Louis will face New England.

Sun Aug 22 201000:12X-rays negative on Feeley's thumb, elbow
X-rays on A.J. Feeley's right thumb and elbow were negative after Saturday's preseason game.
"There's a little soreness, but I'm good," Feeley said. "Get a little treatment and should be ready to go by next week. Definitely." Feeley may be back in the driver's seat for Week 1 after Sam Bradford struggled to move the offense in six series Saturday night.
