Fri May 24 201312:59Seahawks lose TE McCoy to Achilles' tear
USA Today reports Seahawks TE Anthony McCoy underwent surgery for a torn Achilles' tendon Thursday, and will be sidelined a minimum of six months.
McCoy went down with what was originally believed to be an ankle injury in Monday's practice. A 2010 sixth-rounder, McCoy has served as Zach Miller's backup the past two seasons, catching 31 passes for 437 yards. It's an extremely ill-timed injury, as the Seahawks used the No. 158 overall pick on freak-athlete TE Luke Willson. Willson generated buzz in both rookie minicamp and OTAs. McCoy is unlikely to take the field this season, and could even be waived/injured in camp.

Anthony McCoy (back) did not participate in practice on Wednesday.
McCoy is a new addition to the injury report. Being Seattle's No. 2 tight end, he doesn't offer much short-term fantasy appeal, but he's surely on the radar in Dynasty leagues.

Mon Dec 24 201200:37Anthony McCoy finds pay-dirt in win
Anthony McCoy's lone catch went for a six-yard touchdown in Seattle's Week 16 win over the 49ers.
The score was McCoy's third of the year, but the target was only his ninth since the Seahawks' Week 9 bye. McCoy remains on the radar in Dynasty formats, but there hasn't been a whole lot to suggest he'll be a redraft-league factor in 2013.

Sun Dec 9 201219:41Anthony McCoy racks up 105 yards
Anthony McCoy caught three passes for 105 yards in the Seahawks' Week 14 win over the Cardinals.
McCoy is certainly an impressive athlete. The 6'5/259 specimen flashed his skills during his first career 100-yard game, getting wide open in the middle of the field and showing plenty of elusiveness. However, McCoy still has seen more than three targets in a game just once all year (Week 2). He's not worth an add in re-draft formats.

Sun Nov 25 201216:24Anthony McCoy gets a TD in loss
Anthony McCoy caught two passes for 23 yards with a touchdown in the Seahawks' Week 12 loss to the Dolphins.
McCoy's touchdown came from three yards out on a crossing pattern in the back of the end zone. Russell Wilson scrambled around long enough to allow his tight end, who lined up split in the slot, to travel the entire width of the field. It's McCoy's second touchdown of the season, but he now has 12 catches in 11 games. He's athletic at 6'5/259, but there aren't enough chances here yet. Ignore.

TE Anthony McCoy had five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' Week 2 win over the Cowboys.
With Zach Miller hobbled by a foot injury, McCoy was the primary pass-catching tight end ahead of Evan Moore. The Seahawks' leading receiver in the preseason hauled in all five of his targets en route to the career game. However, waiver-wire hunters should note that McCoy had zero catches on one target in Week 1. He's not a TE2 option yet.

Wed Aug 11 201023:45Anthony McCoy struggling to catch passes
Seahawks rookie TE Anthony McCoy has "struggled to catch the ball" in training camp thus far.
McCoy reportedly looked like "the steal of Seattle's draft" in no-contact spring drills, but it's a bad sign for a rookie football player when such a performance doesn't translate in pads. The sixth-round pick is on the roster bubble.

Seahawks signed sixth-round TE Anthony McCoy to a multi-year contract.
McCoy, generally considered a second-day talent, fell to the late rounds due to off-the-field concerns. He'll vie for special teams duty as a rookie while developing behind John Carlson and blocking specialist Chris Baker. He doesn't project as a long-term impact player in fantasy circles.
Sat Apr 24 201014:50Seahawks draft USC TE Anthony McCoy
Seahawks selected USC TE Anthony McCoy with the No. 185 overall pick in the 2010 draft.
McCoy fell due to off-the-field concerns, specifically a positive test for marijuana, but his college coach knows he can play. A converted wide receiver, McCoy has fine all-round skills as a blocker and receiver, but his speed is lacking. He won't have fantasy value behind John Carlson and Chris Baker in Seattle.
