Wed Dec 5 201217:15Titans claim Mitch Petrus from Patriots
Titans claimed G Mitch Petrus off waivers from the Patriots.
This is a depth move for the Titans with the likelihood that LG Steve Hutchinson is out for the season. Petrus started three regular season games for the Giants last season, but was used sparingly this year in New England, playing just 20 snaps.

Sun Dec 2 201208:00Pats OL Petrus added to injury report
Patriots OL Mitch Petrus was added to the Week 13 injury report and is listed as questionable with an illness.
New England has a bit of a bug making its way through the locker room. Fellow OL Markus Zusevics is also questionable with an illness. It shouldn't me much of an issue, as long as it doesn't spread any further.

Tue Sep 4 201201:02Giants re-sign OG Mitch Petrus
Giants re-signed OG Mitch Petrus.
Petrus was initially waived when the Giants claimed D.J. Jones off waivers from the Eagles. Jones failed his physical, so the G-Men turned back to Petrus. Petrus, 25, made three starts last season and struggled mightily. The Giants should hope that they don't have to turn back to him to start games in 2012.

Wed Jun 23 201012:54Giants do deal with Petrus
Giants agreed to terms with fifth-round OG Mitch Petrus on a four-year contract.
The G-Men have just three rookies left to sign: Jason Pierre-Paul, Linval Joseph, and Matt Dodge. Petrus, an athletic former fullback at Arkansas, could fall in line as New York's left guard of the future. Assuming Williams Beatty wins the left tackle job, Petrus would back up David Diehl inside adjacent him.

Sat Apr 24 201012:47Giants draft G Petrus
Giants selected Arkansas OG Mitch Petrus with the No. 147 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Petrus gained fame by bench pressing 225 pounds a whopping 45 times at the Combine, and is an underrated athlete as a former starting fullback for the Razorbacks. He's not a special talent and is limited to guard, but fits the Giants as a reserve type with power-blocking potential at a stout 6'3/310.
