Sun Sep 1 2013 | 13:02 | Chargers acquire DL Lissemore from Cowboys |
Chargers acquired DL Sean Lissemore from the Cowboys in exchange for a 2015 seventh-round draft pick. |
Lissemore was a bad fit for the Cowboys' new 4-3 defense, so he'll join DC Chuck Pagano's 3-4 scheme in San Diego. At 6-foot-3, 298, he's best-suited to play one of the end spots. In 329 snaps with the Cowboys last season, Lissemore recorded 35 tackles and one sack. He'll be the top backup to Kendall Reyes and Corey Liuget. Lissemore showed promise as a run stopper in 2011. |

Tue Feb 12 2013 | 13:49 | Sean Lissemore being converted back to DT? |
According to ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys are "looking at" moving DL Sean Lissemore from end to tackle in new DC Monte Kiffin's 4-3 defense. |
Lissemore has extensive experience at both positions, so it would be a natural switch. Playing mostly end in 2012, Lissemore notched 35 tackles and a sack in 329 snaps over 10 games. Due just $630,000 in 2013, and only $3.63 million through 2016, Lissemore is a valuable reserve for Big D. |
