Sun Oct 4 201511:40Roberts inactive Sunday against Eagles
Roberts is inactive Sunday against the Eagles, according to the Washington Post.
Roberts has struggled with drops this season and seems to have fallen behind rookie Jamison Crowder on the depth chart. If he doesn't pick it up in practice, he could be a consistent inactive this season.
Mon Sep 28 201511:33Andre Roberts:
Roberts has struggled with drops this season, the Washington Post reports. He has three drops on eight targets.
Roberts entered the season as the starting slot receiver but his drops has led to more snaps for rookie Jamison Crowder. Roberts also struggled with drops in 2014 recording 11 which put him close to the top of the league. Expect Roberts to continue to lose playing time to Crowder and second year wideout Ryan Grant.

Roberts secured his only target in Sunday's 24-10 victory over the Rams, but the reception did not net any yards.
It was a disappointing performance for Roberts, who in his role as third receiver was expected to parlay DeSean Jackson's absence into additional opportunities and production. Instead, Roberts received as many targets as third-string running back Chris Thompson and fifth wide receiver Jamison Crowder. That Roberts had significantly less balls thrown his way than Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed is certainly no surprise; the fact that the closest competitor for his third receiver role, Ryan Grant, received five more looks in the passing game likely provides a much more significant clue as to Roberts' place in the pecking order of the Redskins passing game.

Roberts totaled 36 yards on three receptions in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Dolphins.
Roberts opens his second season in Washington fighting to keep his third-receiver spot, but turned in a serviceable performance in the opener. The veteran wideout is also the backup at both returner spots, but will need to keep up his play to stave off rookie fourth-rounder Jamison Crowder's push for his role on the receiver depth chart. Roberts will also be looked to for increased production if DeSean Jackson's hamstring injury persists.

Roberts caught 4-of-4 targets for 71 yards in Friday's preseason opener against the Browns.
The stat line may seem excellent for a preseason game, but Roberts didn't catch any passes from Robert Griffin and lost a fumble on a punt return. Jamison Crowder (hamstring), who is expected to push Roberts for the No. 3 wideout role and punt return job, did not play in Thursday's exhibition. There's also some chance Ryan Grant could leapfrog Roberts on the depth chart.

Fourth-round draft pick Jamison Crowder could challenge Roberts for playing time at slot receiver this coming season, the Washington Post reports.
Roberts, who recorded 36 catches for 453 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games in his first season with Washington, figures to head into training camp as the favorite to claim the assignment, but GM Scot McCloughan has praise for Crowder's route-running, so the rookie could end up challenging Robert for slot and/or return work as the 2015 season approaches. Either way, the team's top two wideouts from a fantasy perspective remain DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon.

Roberts caught two passes for 81 yards Sunday including a long of 61 yards.
Roberts recorded more than 50 yards receiving for the first time since Week 6. He has 34 receptions, 432 yards and two touchdowns on the year.

Roberts caught 1-of-5 targets for 11 yards in Monday's 20-17 overtime win over the Cowboys.
Roberts hasn't been very efficient with his targets while working as the Redskins' No. 3 receiver, as he's on pace for just 46 catches and 496 receiving yards on 90 targets. He's producing just 10.8 yards per reception, and with a catch rate of 51.1 percent, that work out to a meager 5.5 yards per target (YPT). Pierre Garcon is at 7.8 YPT with a catch rate approaching 70 percent, while DeSean Jackson is producing a ridiculous 12.5 YPT
Mon Oct 20 201409:39Roberts caught two passes on four targets for 18 yards in Week 7
Roberts caught two passes on four targets for 18 yards in Week 7.
Roberts tied a season low in yards. Expect his targets to be inconsistent as he's typically the fourth or fifth option in the passing game.
Mon Oct 13 201410:16Roberts caught five passes on nine targets for 55 yards Sunday
Roberts caught five passes on nine targets for 55 yards Sunday. He also lost a costly fumble.
Roberts had the second most targets on the team. He tied his season high for receptions and targets.

Roberts caught 5-of-9 targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-17 loss to the Seahawks.
After logging just one reception on two targets in Week 1, Roberts has averaged 3.5 receptions and 6.3 targets over the last four games. He's still just the No. 3 wide receiver, but Washington's passing game took a step up from last week, following a hideous showing against the Giants.

Roberts had one reception for an 18-yard touchdown on four targets in Thursday's 45-14 loss to the Giants.
The touchdown aside, it was a discouraging night for fantasy owners of Roberts and/or the other Washington receivers, as Kirk Cousins turned in a disastrous four-pick performance. Cousins has shown that he's capable of playing much better, but a Week 5 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks probably won't bring out the best in the young quarterback. With just 10 receptions and 17 targets through four games, Roberts seemingly needs an injury to DeSean Jackson or Pierre Garcon in order to emerge as an option in most leagues.
Mon Sep 22 201410:18Roberts caught four passes on six targets for 38 yards in Week 3
Roberts caught four passes on six targets for 38 yards in Week 3.
Roberts was fourth in targets on the team. He appears to still be ahead of Ryan Grant (only one target) on the depth chart after Grant had a strong game in Week 2.

Roberts caught four passes on five targets for 57 yards in Week 2.
DeSean Jackson suffered a shoulder injury in the first half and missed the rest of the game. Expect Roberts to be more involved in the offense if Jackson misses time.
Mon Sep 8 201410:23Roberts caught one pass on three targets for 22 yards in Week 1
Roberts caught one pass on three targets for 22 yards in Week 1.
Roberts' looks will be inconsistent for the much of the season. He sits behind Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson on the depth chart.

Roberts caught two passes for a team-leading 54 receiving yards Monday against the Browns.
Roberts hauled in both passes thrown his way, and has a chance to make an impact out of the slot this season. However, he likely benefitted from the absence of receiver Pierre Garcon in this one, so there will probably be less targets to go around when the team is at full strength.

Roberts started in place of DeSean Jackson (ankle) in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots, the Washington Post reports.
Roberts is locked in as the No. 3 wide receiver, with Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson obviously considered the starters, and no real competition coming from behind. Neither starter's injury is considered serious, but Garcon's had a bit of trouble staying healthy over the years.
Sun Jun 15 201420:19Roberts working on both kick and punt returns
Redskins WR Andre Roberts is working as the returner with both the kick and punt units.
Roberts signed on with the Redskins to be their No. 2 receiver but suffered a quick demotion when Washington brought in DeSean Jackson a month later. The silver lining is the reduced offensive role opens up Roberts to help on special teams. Roberts has not been particularly successful as a returner, though, averaging a measly 6.9 yards per punt return and 22.4 yards per kick return. Washington would do well to find a better option.

Sat Apr 19 201416:07Andre Roberts could be used on kick returns
The Redskins are considering using Andre Roberts on kick returns.
It's not an ideal role for Roberts, who averaged 22.4 yards on kick returns in his first two seasons with the Cardinals. Roberts is also the Redskins' No. 3 receiver, so they may not want to risk exposing him to injury. Chris Thompson, Richard Crawford, and Niles Paul are also candidates to be used in the return game.

Fri Apr 11 201409:09Roberts a bit frustrated by D-Jax signing
Andre Roberts expressed a bit of frustration with the Redskins' signing of DeSean Jackson.
Roberts agreed to terms with the Redskins on a four-year, $16 million deal before free agency even opened. He "envisioned being the No. 2 receiver," but now admits he doesn't "know how it's going to work out." New coach Jay Gruden is going to run a pass-happy offense, so Roberts will get his chances out of the slot. But his fantasy appeal is low. Roberts is, at best, the No. 4 option.
