Hartley (hamstring) has been placed on IR by the Steelers.
With Hartley, who has been signed by the Steelers to replace Shaun Suisham, now out of the mix, the team has acquired fellow kicker Josh Scobee from the Jaguars.

Hartley (right hamstring) appears iffy for Week 1, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. When referencing Hartley's status in the context of the team's Sept. 10 game against the Patriots, coach Mike Tomlin noted that "it didn't look positive in terms of the opener."
After having already lost Shaun Suisham for the season, it looks like the Steelers will have to bring in another kicker in short order. In any case, those who drafted/auctioned early and already own Hartley are advised to consider replacement options in advance of Week 1.

Hartley suffered a right hamstring injury in Saturday's kickoff and is out for the rest of the game, Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter reports.
Hartley came off the field grabbing the back of his leg following a kickoff. It wasn't clear initially if he would have to come out of the game, but Pittsburgh's decision to go for it on fourth and 17 at Buffalo's 22 yardline was certainly telling. If Hartley's injury causes him to miss significant time, he'll be the second Steelers kicker this summer to suffer a significant injury.
Tue Aug 11 201513:15Garrett Hartley: Signs With Steelers
Hartley signed with the Steelers on Tuesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
With Shaun Suisham (torn ACL) out for the season, the Steelers acted quickly to bring in another veteran kicker. The team may have a competition for the job, but Hartley is now the favorite to handle kicking duties for a team with an excellent offense. Although he owns a modest 81.7 percent conversion rate for his career, Hartley has made 6-of-8 attempts from beyond 50 yards and 22-of-28 attempts from 40-49 yards. Of course, nearly all of those kicks came as a member of the Saints, and he'll now move to arguably the toughest kicking environment in the NFL.
Mon May 11 201512:46The Browns have waived Hartley
The Browns have waived Hartley, the team's official site reports.
With the move, the team now rosters kickers Travis Coons and Carey Spear, with Marvin Kloss set to try out during the Browns' rookie minicamp, Ohio.com reports. "That position is wide open," special teams coordinator Chris Tabor has noted. "That's a heavy competition right there right now...Hopefully someone takes the lead, and then when they do they'll be our guy."

Hartley kicked a 38-yard field goal and converted his only extra point attempt in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Hartley didn't make a major impact during the final three games of the season, but he didn't miss any kicks either. He'll likely once again find himself in search of a new home in advance of 2015.

Hartley converted field goals of 43 and 31 yards, along with one extra point attempt, in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
Hartley hasn't missed a field goal as a Brown, but considering the team's offensive struggles, he likely isn't the greatest option when it comes to fantasy kickers.

Hartley did not record a field goal or extra point attempt in Sunday's loss to the Browns.
Fantasy owners might as well have started Billy Cundiff in this one, as the result would have been exactly the same. Hartley will presumably serve as the field goal kicker for the team's final two games, but if the Cleveland offense continues to prove unable to move the football, there won't be much fantasy value to find here.
Sun Dec 14 201411:50Hartley active for Sunday's game against Bengals
Hartley is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
In case you missed the news of Billy Cundiff (knee) being cut on Saturday, know that Hartley will kick for Cleveland in this game.
Sat Dec 13 201412:20Cleveland signed Hartley on Saturday
Cleveland signed Hartley on Saturday, Cleveland Plain Dealer writer Mary Kay Cabot reports.
Hartley was brought in to replace the injured and ineffective Billy Cundiff (knee). Cut by New Orleans in December of 2013, Hartley has a career field goal percentage of 81.2, though he made just 73.3 percent of his kicks for the Saints last year.

Tue Dec 17 201308:40Garrett Hartley in danger of losing his job?
Coach Sean Payton didn't rule out benching K Garrett Hartley for Week 16.
In the Week 15 loss at St. Louis, Hartley had a 36-yard field goal blocked and simply shanked a 26-yarder late in the game. He's now just 22-of-30 on the season, a mark that puts him 30th in the league in accuracy. Fantasy owners should be looking for more reliable options than Hartley even if Payton chooses to stay the course.

Mon Nov 18 201309:10Garrett Hartley gets back on track
Garrett Hartley went 3-of-3 on field goals in Sunday's 23-20 Week 11 win over the 49ers.
Hartley came into the game having missed four of his last six attempts. But he was clutch in this one, making all three kicks with under eight minutes remaining in a close game. It should be a big boost of confidence for Hartley, who will be one of fantasy's best kicking options in the Week 12 Thursday night game at Atlanta.

Thu Nov 14 201309:49Garrett Hartley has gone cold of late
Garrett Hartley has missed four of his last six field-goal attempts.
The Saints worked out five kickers this week in an effort to update their emergency list -- and send Hartley a message in the process. He missed a 37-yarder against the Cowboys on Sunday night. "My leg feels great," he said. "I'm striking a clean ball. Bouncing back, even after a game like [last Sunday's], when obviously I didn't strike the ball well and I know why. It's a simple fix." Hartley will still be a top-10 fantasy kicking option this week thanks to the Saints offense and the friendly confines of the Superdome.

Sat Sep 1 201210:17Garrett Hartley wins kicking job
Garrett Hartley has won the Saints' placekicking job.
Hartley proved his health by going 6-of-7 in preseason games. He'll be a fantasy kicker to target thanks to the Saints' explosive offense and the friendly confines of the Superdome. In 27 career games with New Orleans, Hartley has made 42 total field goals and gone 10-of-11 from 40-49 yards out.

Fri Jun 15 201211:51Hartley expected to defeat Kasay
SportsNOLA.com expects Garrett Hartley to beat out John Kasay for field-goal duties this summer.
The Saints want Hartley to earn the job in training-camp competition, but he'll likely be given the benefit of the doubt as long as he manages to keep it close. Hartley has a stronger leg and youth on his side.

Tue May 15 201210:55Hartley, Kasay to compete for roster spot
The Saints plan to stage a camp battle at kicker between Garrett Hartley and John Kasay.
Kasay's April re-signing was viewed as insurance on Hartley after he missed all of 2011 with a hip injury, but special teams coordinator Greg McMahon insists there will be an "open competition." Our money is on Hartley, who is 17 years Kasay's junior. Whoever wins should be one of fantasy football's most valuable kickers.

Sun Apr 1 201211:47Kicker job is Hartley's to lose
Saints K Garrett Hartley (hip) is fully healed and expected to keep his job.
Free agent John Kasay was strong as an injury replacement in 2011, but it doesn't appear that the Saints will bring him back unless the 25-year-old Hartley struggles. Hartley has nailed 42 of his 49 (86%) career field goal attempts.
