Sat Aug 29 201515:50Williams signed five-year
Williams signed a five-year, $66M extension with the Redskins on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
The Redskins now have their franchise left tackle under contract for five more years on a lucrative extension that will make him the league's highest paid player at that position, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. With Williams holding down the left side of the line, it will give first-round offensive lineman Brandon Scherff time to develop his skills at the NFL level.

Williams (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Indianapolis.
Williams' absence was felt last week as the Redskins failed to slow the 49ers pass rush, so a return would be helpful this week as Colt McCoy takes over at quarterback. Williams practiced all week, including full practices Thursday and Friday, so a return would not be surprising.

Williams (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Losing Williams is a significant blow for the struggling Redskins, who were already facing an uphill battle on the road against the 49ers. Rookie Morgan Moses will start in Williams' place, which could lead to major problems for Washington's offensive line.

The Washington Post reports that Williams showed some improvement in the training room, but he was unable to practice all week. Rookie Morgan Moses could be a real liability if he starts against the 49ers.

Williams (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is listed as day-to-day, the Washington Post's Mike Jones reports.
He also sprained his right ankle during the game, but no MRI was needed for that injury. Coach Jay Gruden did not offer a timetable for Williams, but said the two-time Pro Bowl tackle has not been ruled out for the final six games of the season. Rookie Morgan Moses will fill in at left tackle if Williams misses time.

Williams suffered a sprained right MCL and a sprained ankle in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, csnwashington.com reports.
Williams is slated to have an MRI on his knee Monday morning, but he sounds resigned to missing some time. "You never know," said Williams, who was relieved by Morgan Moses on Sunday. "MCL's, sometimes they take two weeks. Sometimes they take six to eight weeks."

Williams (knee) participated in individual drills Thursday but displayed a noticible limp, the Washington Post reports.

Coach Jay Gruden said Williams is dealing with a knee strain that caused him to exit Thursday's game early.
Williams probably wouldn't have returned to the game even if he could have given the score in the game. He will get extra time to rest since this week's game was on a Thursday.

Williams left Thursday's game against the Giants with a knee injury and will not return.
Williams has no reason to return to the game in the fourth quarter of a blowout. The team will likely reevaluate him in the coming days and release the extent of their Pro Bowl tackle's injury.
Fri Nov 22 201316:40NFL suspends umpire Ellison for verbal abuse
NFL suspended umpire Roy Ellison one game for verbally abusing Redskins LT Trent Williams in Week 11 against Philadelphia.
Williams accused Ellison of calling him a "garbage-ass, disrespectful mutherf-ker." Ex-NFL head of officiating Mike Pereira disclosed this week that this wasn't the first time Ellison had been accused of verbally abusing players on the field. Pereira had to issue Ellison warnings about his behavior in the past.

Tue Aug 13 201320:10Trent Williams playing through 'serious pain'
Redskins LT Trent Williams has been practicing with a club on his wrist, and it "remains apparent" that he's playing through "serious pain."
Williams has appeared slowed enough that beat writer Mike Jones wonders "how effective he will be if he's unable to grab and really use that left hand." Williams was active for Washington's preseason opener, and clearly isn't considering sitting out. But it's fair to wonder how close to 100 percent he'll be when the Redskins host the Patriots in Week 1.

Wed Aug 7 201322:44Trent Williams not playing Thursday
Redskins LT Trent Williams (wrist) will sit out Thursday's preseason opener.
Williams suffered the injury early in camp, but has continued to practice despite being "noticeably limited." The injury clearly isn't that serious if Williams has continued to practice, but it's possibly he'll miss more exhibition action as a precaution.

Mon Jan 28 201313:36Police confirm Trent Williams was victim
Honolulu police confirm Redskins LT Trent Williams was a victim in Thursday's nightclub brawl, and "not guilty of any wrongdoing."
The club's owner has been arrested for allegedly tasering Williams and hitting him upside the head with a champagne bottle. Amazingly, Williams reportedly remained on his feet the entire time. Williams has had his share of off-the-field issues, but is in no danger of league discipline. The No. 4 pick of the 2010 draft will enter 2013 as one of the best young left tackles in the league.

Redskins LT Trent Williams was given and passed two concussion tests after being struck in the head at a Honolulu nightclub.
Williams was involved in an incident on Thursday night that saw him get tasered in the back and hit in the head with a champagne bottle. Stitches were required, and Williams has been forced from the Pro Bowl. After passing the concussion tests, this should be the last we hear of the incident.

Fri Jan 25 201321:12Trent Williams was 'merely a victim'
Multiple sources tell Profootballtalk that Redskins LT Trent Williams was "merely a victim" in the incident that caused him injury and knocked Williams out of Sunday's Pro Bowl.
The injury required stitches, though no additional details are available. One source told PFT that Williams was "doing nothing wrong" and "was not at fault," but others have been arrested. Williams will be on the sidelines for the Pro Bowl game. In a breakout 2012 season, the former fourth overall pick in the draft graded out as a top-20 tackle in Pro Football Focus' ratings.

Fri Jan 25 201319:31Trent Williams pulls out of Pro Bowl
Redsins LT Trent Williams was involved in an altercation Thursday night that resulted in him needing stitches, and he's been ruled out for the Pro Bowl.
We're not concerned with Williams' Pro Bowl participation, but the incident raises some eyebrows, especially since there are no other details available at this point. 106.7 The Fan in D.C.'s Grant Paulsen reached out to Williams on Friday but got no answer. There's no reason yet to believe Williams was seriously injured. Matt Kalil of the Vikings has replaced him in Honolulu.

Sun Dec 9 201209:27Three questionable Redskins ready to play
Redskins LT Trent Williams (thigh), ILB London Fletcher (ankle), and CB DeAngelo Hall (ankle) are all "good to go" for Week 14 versus the Ravens.
That's word straight from Mike Shanahan's mouth. All three players were listed as questionable on the injury report. Fletcher and Williams were both questionable with the same injuries last week before playing, so it's not ground-breaking news. The three veterans were the only Redskins listed as worse than probable for Sunday's showdown.
