Sat Jul 30 201119:45Saints re-sign Roby
Saints re-signed KR Courtney Roby.
Roby's time in New Orleans appeared to be over after the Saints signed Darren Sproles on Thursday, but a scenario has apparently been devised where they can co-exist. Roby has notched just three receptions since the end of the 2005 season while Sproles is a much more talented returner, so it's unclear where exactly he'll be of service. He's far from a guarantee to make the Saints' 53-man roster.

Wed Jun 22 201110:16Kickoff rules have Roby on the hot seat?
The new kickoff rules for the 2011 season may put Courtney Roby's roster spot in jeopardy this summer.
Roby is unsigned this year after a mediocre season as a returner in 2010. It helps that he also contributes as a gunner on special teams, but the Saints also have Adrian Arrington pushing hard for the fifth receiver role.

Saints WR/KR Courtney Roby (head) received positive reports this morning and is undergoing typical head trauma tests.
Luckily, Roby's injury appears to have looked much worse than it actually was. He'll be checked for a concussion, but has avoided serious injury. If he can't return kicks on Sunday, coach Sean Payton said that Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson, Pierre Thomas and Julius Jones are all candidates.

WR/KR Courtney Roby had to be carted off in the second quarter Sunday after suffering a possible head/neck injury during a kickoff return.
